  • Sony Accused of Blacklisting Media That Criticized Disc Discontinuation

Following reports that Sony is restricting interviews and information access for overseas media outlets that covered the PS5’s move away from physical discs, Japan’s 5channel gaming board (Geha) erupted into debate over the truth and intent behind the move. The thread also saw arguments over alleged retailer blacklisting, comparisons to Nintendo Switch 2’s key-card system, and disputes over how to interpret images claiming to show which titles are being snubbed.

Some media outlets that reported on Sony’s plan to move away from physical discs for PlayStation games

are reportedly having their access to games and information needed for reviews and interviews restricted by PlayStation’s local subsidiaries.

    Background and Key Points

Sony’s PlayStation division has spent the PS5 generation quietly walking back its old commitment to physical media: the console launched in 2020 with a disc-drive model and a cheaper Digital Edition side by side, and Sony has periodically pushed publishers and retailers toward download-first releases since. What’s unusual in the story the thread is reacting to is not the shift itself but the alleged retaliation — foreign outlets that reported critically on Sony curbing physical releases say their access to review copies and interviews from PlayStation’s regional subsidiaries has since been cut. Readers unfamiliar with Japan’s retail landscape should also know GEO is one of the country’s largest chains for used games, discs, and media, which is why posters flagged it as a likely target of any retailer-side blacklist.

The thread didn’t converge on whether the blacklisting reports are true — nobody there has independent confirmation — but on whether abandoning discs is a defensible business move at all. One camp treated it as an inevitable trend Sony is simply riding; the other, invoking Nintendo’s Switch 2 “key-card” system, argued Nintendo is managing the same digital shift far more gradually, keeping retail shelf space alive with accessories and resellable cards, while Sony is cutting discs abruptly mid-cycle.

What’s easy to miss is that no post actually cites a verified digital-sales percentage or an official Sony statement — the “95%” figure being argued over originated as a jab, not a disclosed number, so the entire debate rests on assumption rather than confirmed data.

  • “Nintendo Games Are for Kids”? Backlash Erupts — Gamers Say That’s Just “PlayStation-Generation Bias”

On 5ch’s hardware/industry (“Geha”) board, a thread went up titled “If you’ve got normal sensibilities, you grow out of Pokémon and Mario by middle school.” Posts dismissing Nintendo titles as kids’ stuff drew a wave of pushback, with users arguing it’s “just the mindset of people who grew up on the Super Famicom and moved on to PlayStation.” The thread spiraled into back-and-forth citing specific titles like Xenoblade, and eventually into a circular debate over what “games for adults” even means in the first place.

    Re: #95
Fair enough. But if you've got a family, there's barely any stigma attached… guess being single really is the crime here!!

    Background and Key Points

Nintendo has been Japan’s dominant console maker since the Famicom (1983), but the “kids’ company” label dates to the mid-1990s, when Sony’s PlayStation captured the market with Final Fantasy VII and Dragon Quest VII, positioning itself as the choice for teens and adults who’d outgrown the Famicom/Super Famicom. That generational split — SFC kids who “graduated” to PS — is exactly what poster >>13 names as the source of the “Nintendo is for kids” mindset, and it’s the crux the thread never resolves. CERO, Japan’s ESRB-equivalent ratings board, is real and A/B/C/D/Z ratings do exist, but citing a CERO B rating (post 36) as proof a game is “for kids” is a joke, not an accurate use of the system — CERO ratings track content like violence and language, not audience maturity or design sophistication.

The thread splits less on whether Nintendo makes good games than on what “adult game” even means, and it never gets an answer. One side keeps naming actual titles — Pokémon, Mario, Xenoblade — while the other retreats to a vague, undefined category (“games for adults”) that, as poster >>40 points out, was never operationalized. When someone tries to pin it down (>>45: Switch-exclusive AAA titles that never ported), it collapses immediately, since Switch’s biggest “adult-skewing” gaps in Japan are arguably just Chinese mobile gacha, FF, and Monster Hunter — hardly a coherent genre.

What outside readers likely miss: this is a distinctly Japanese domestic framing. Switch is the best-selling console in Japan by a wide margin, and family/multiplayer titles dominate its charts there in a way that doesn’t map onto Western “Nintendo = kids” stereotypes, which stem from different marketing history (the 1980s American NES relaunch as a toy, not a 1990s PS/Nintendo split).

  • Is a PS5 with 1TB Storage a Bargain at ¥55,000? 5ch Erupts Over Actual Usable Capacity

A post claiming “you can buy a PS5 with 1TB of storage for ¥55,000” went viral on 5ch’s Hardware/Industry (“Geha”) board. While some praised the price as a steal compared to buying PC parts separately, others pointed out that against the advertised 825GB, the actual usable capacity is only around 667GB — sparking a heated argument over how to interpret the storage figures.

Claims that the PS5 has reached RTX 3060-class performance, plus price comparisons noting a standalone GPU alone costs over ¥60,000, only fueled the cost-performance debate, which never reached a consensus.

The NAND chip installed is 768GiB (825GB). After setting aside over-provisioning space, what's left for the user is 715GiB (768GB).

Every other manufacturer sells this exact SSD labeled as 768GB — only "Shitty Sony" (a common 5ch insult pun, "クソニー") labels it 825GB.

For the PS5, after the system takes its cut, the user is actually left with 667GiB (716GB).

If the over-provisioning matches what normal SSD makers use, that means the PS5's system is hogging 48GiB.

    97AnonymousAug 26, 2026 21:54
    Re: #87
Pretty sure it was something like 800GB.

    Background and Key Points

The PS5’s storage math checks out but rarely gets explained in English-language coverage: the console ships with an 825GB (or 1TB on the newer “slim” revision) SSD, but Sony reserves a chunk for the system, firmware, and — critically — over-provisioning, the standard SSD-controller practice of setting aside raw NAND for wear-leveling and error correction. That leaves roughly 667GB actually usable for games and saves. This isn’t a Sony-specific scam; every SSD maker under-reports usable capacity relative to raw NAND for the same reason, though as posters noted, competitors typically label the drive by its post-overprovisioning figure rather than the larger raw number, which is part of why Sony’s 825GB/667GB gap feels more jarring by comparison.

The thread’s real fault line wasn’t whether the ¥55,000 price is good value — almost everyone agreed a PC build with comparable GPU, CPU, SSD, and controller costs more piecemeal — but whether advertising “825GB” is honest when only 667GB (or by one poster’s more technical breakdown, 667GiB) is usable. That escalated into a tangent about whether PS5 performance genuinely rivals an RTX 3060, a claim posters challenged for lacking any cited benchmark, which nobody in the thread actually produced.

What’s likely to confuse outside readers: this is not new information. The 825GB-vs-667GB usable-capacity gap has been public since the PS5’s 2020 launch and is documented in Sony’s own specs; it resurfaces periodically on 5ch whenever a “PS5 is a steal” post goes viral, less because anyone discovered something new than because console-vs-PC price comparisons reliably bait the board’s recurring platform-loyalty arguments, visible here in the tangents about a banned-poster’s anti-physical-media crusade and the “Sokuho” board’s reputation for detached-from-reality PlayStation zealotry.

※This article is excerpted and summarized from the 5ch (Hardware/Industry, “Geha”) thread “An expert says: “The PS5 is 1TB of storage for ¥55,000”.”

  • No New Tales Games in Sight — 5ch: ‘Both the IP and Its Fans Are Just Getting Old’

On 5ch’s Hardware/Industry board, a discussion broke out over why Bandai Namco’s popular “Tales of” RPG series hasn’t had a proper new entry in recent years. Posters pointed to competition from Chinese RPGs like Genshin Impact and frustration with the sales strategy of skipping Nintendo platforms for new releases, while opinions split over comparisons of worldwide cumulative sales with the Persona series.

You could already hear the death knell after Zestiria, but Berseria redeemed the series with a god-tier scenario, then after Arise—a decently safe entry—there's been zero sign of anything since.

    True, for Persona—
    > The Persona 5 series surpassed 10 million units in worldwide cumulative sales as of December 2023
—that's what they say, but if you break it down:
    > Persona 5 (original): 3.2 million+ worldwide
    > Persona 5 Royal (P5R): 4 million+ worldwide (including ports)
    > Persona 5 Scramble (P5S): 2 million+ worldwide
I'd guess most of that is the same people buying multiple versions.
So in the end, the actual number of unique buyers probably tops out somewhere between 4 and, at most, 5 million.
Well, that's still obviously more than Tales, but on a global scale it's not exactly a runaway smash hit either.

Baba: That is absolutely not the case. The story and gameplay of the "Tales of" series are built by the entire development team through repeated discussion. If I or certain staff members had let personal feelings or pressure influence things, the team itself would have fallen apart, and there's no way we could have kept the "Tales of" series going to this day. Re: #115
What's the point of asking if people buy something that only creepy otaku ever bought to begin with.

    Background and Key Points

The “Tales of” series is Bandai Namco’s other long-running console RPG franchise, alongside Persona at rival Atlus — it began with Tales of Phantasia in 1995 and became known for near-annual mainline releases through the 2000s and 2010s under producer Hideo Baba, plus a steady stream of remasters and side entries. That release rhythm broke down after Baba’s departure from the company around 2018, and Tales of Arise, released in 2021 to solid reviews and reportedly over 2 million copies sold, is still the most recent mainline game — nothing new has been announced since. The series also quietly dropped Nintendo hardware support for new entries starting in the PS3-era Xillia, unlike stablemates such as Final Fantasy that still cross platforms.

The thread doesn’t actually agree on why Tales stalled. Some blame Bandai Namco’s platform strategy of chasing PlayStation exclusivity while Nintendo hardware only gets old ports; others blame competition from free-to-play Chinese anime-style RPGs like Genshin Impact, which target the same visual and combat niche at zero upfront cost; still others think Arise itself was mediocre — “5/10 across the board” — while a counter-camp insists Arise is a perfectly solid, classic JRPG and that damning it means the whole genre is doomed.

What’s easy to miss without Japanese-market context: the “new” titles posters cite, Tales of the Shire and Tales of Kenzera, aren’t mainline Bandai Namco RPGs at all — Shire is a Lord of the Rings life-sim spinoff and Kenzera is an unrelated Surgent Studios game that merely shares the word “Tales.” Neither answers the thread’s actual complaint.

There's no way anyone could understand the inner fantasies of someone who starts a thread full of baseless wishful-thinking delusions.

    Background and Key Points

Nintendo’s “Direct” livestreams have long come in two flavors: a “regular” edition built around first-party exclusives, and a “software-publisher edition” (ソフトメーカー編) that hands the spotlight to third-party partners with little or no news on Nintendo’s own franchises. Post 25’s table shows this alternation going back to 2024, and it matters here because the Switch 2, Nintendo’s new hardware launched in June 2025, is now entering its second year — a period when investors and fans alike watch closely for evidence the first-party pipeline hasn’t dried up. “Raiders” in the thread appears to be Kirby Air Riders, pitched as Switch 2’s August tentpole release; “The Duskbloods” is From Software’s Switch 2-exclusive action title; and the “new Zelda” is the rumored Ocarina of Time remake, both anticipated before year-end.

The thread’s real fault line isn’t whether the leak is true, but what it would mean if it is. One camp reads a software-publisher-only September Direct as proof Nintendo’s own 2026 lineup is thinner than hoped, pointing to Raiders’ fast-fading buzz as a warning sign. The other camp insists the alternating format is routine scheduling, not a red flag, and notes that pattern only looks unusual because posters are comparing a launch-year cadence to a normal one.

What outsiders should know: nothing here is confirmed by Nintendo — it’s an unverified leak, and “software-publisher edition” historically has still included minor Nintendo-published third-party titles, just not flagship first-party reveals.

On 5ch’s Hardware & Industry (Geha) board, a rumor that Square Enix might license out Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy for pachinko and pachislot machines became a hot topic. Some posters argued that the story about Akira Toriyama hating pachinko is just an urban legend, while others pointed to the different treatment Dragon Ball gets under Shueisha’s management, or brought up Yuji Horii’s well-known love of gambling. One comment drew widespread agreement: “Both the DQ and FF generations are hitting the age where games get physically tiring, but pachinko can keep squeezing money out of you well past 70.”

Shueisha would block that. Turning their flagship boys' magazine property into a gambling product would be career-ending, even in name only.

As for going 'downmarket' (into pachinko) — these days it's actually rarer to find a Capcom game, which outranks Square Enix titles, that HASN'T been turned into pachinko or pachislot. And there are still people out there who believe the Toriyama story; that mindset is stuck 20 years in the past.

    Re: #28
No, plenty of creators say no to gambling tie-ins. And it's not even about whether they personally like or dislike gambling, or have gripes with the pachinko industry — many creators pour their own philosophy and soul into their work, wearing themselves down to create it. It's not like most commercial works are just 'use it for anything as long as it makes money.' That's simply how it is, and it has nothing to do with the era.

Skimmed through the thread, and this comment nails it best. It might honestly be the most fitting path for Dragon Quest and FF as they head straight toward becoming a 'dying fandom' (an aging fanbase with no new blood). As someone right in that generation myself, it's kind of sad though…

Whether the machines see more play or less, Square Enix's revenue doesn't change either way. At most they can charge the manufacturer a hefty upfront licensing fee. That's the difference between them and companies like Sega, Capcom, or Konami.

Didn't Fist of the North Star leave Shueisha's management over 20 years ago when it moved to Bunch magazine? City Hunter has also had reprints put out by publishers other than Shueisha, right?

For example, if you look at the rights notice for the game Hokuto ga Gotoku:

    The copyright credit reads "©SEGA ©Buronson・Tetsuo Hara/NSP 1983, License No. GA-217"

So it looks like it's credited to the original creators. Meaning as long as they're not using anime footage, it's probably a matter that sits with the original creators' side, not Shueisha.

    But I could be wrong.
    63AnonymousAug 26, 2026 15:12
    Re: #58
There are plenty of cases where Shueisha holds the rights and it still got turned into pachinko.

These days, maybe because of how the business model works, it's not unusual anymore for anime to end up in pachinko. Is Square Enix — which keeps outsourcing development — heading toward a similar situation?
    68AnonymousAug 26, 2026 15:19
    Re: #59
It's not solely pachinko money's fault, but a bunch of factors have combined into a slow-acting poison for the anime industry. If they don't preserve the environment and relationships that let creators make what they truly want to make and pour their souls into it, the industry is finished.

Kind of similar to how mobile-gacha addicts and the flood of 'Narou-style' web-novel isekai have caused their own set of problems, lol.

Fist of the North Star, Evangelion, Gundam, Monster Hunter — those were basically proof an IP had made it to the top tier. Anything bigger than that is really just Dragon Ball, Mario, and Pokémon territory. One Piece and Demon Slayer are strong, but still a notch below Evangelion or Gundam.

With mobile games you can just tap to pay for gacha while lying in bed. That's clearly more harmful in practice than pachinko.

    Background and Key Points

Pachinko and pachislot machines are Japan’s dominant form of legal gambling — technically “adult gaming parlors” that skirt criminal gambling laws through a three-shop token-exchange system — and the industry has spent decades licensing anime and game characters to draw players, paying publishers large flat licensing fees for the right to use an IP’s music, characters, and catchphrases in the reels. Akira Toriyama, Dragon Quest’s character designer, died in March 2024, which is the backdrop for posts wondering whether a trademark filing means his personal wishes “no longer apply.” Yuji Horii, the series’ actual creator and scenario writer, is separately known for his enthusiasm for games of chance, which posters raise as a counterweight to the Toriyama story.

The thread doesn’t really split over whether Square Enix should do this — most treat it as inevitable given how thoroughly Capcom, a rival publisher, has already pachinko-ified its own catalog. The real fault line is over whether “Toriyama hated pachinko” was ever true, and by extension whether a Dragon Quest machine would validate or debunk that legend. A secondary disagreement is whether Dragon Quest getting licensed would create pressure on Shueisha to do the same with Dragon Ball, which several posters insist won’t happen because Shueisha guards its flagship Shonen Jump properties far more tightly than a video game publisher guards its franchises.

What the thread likely gets wrong going in: pachinko licensing isn’t a revenue share tied to how much players lose. As one reply notes, Square Enix’s payout is essentially a fixed up-front fee from the machine manufacturer — the company’s income doesn’t rise or fall with how addictive the machine turns out to be, unlike companies such as Sega or Konami that also operate in gaming more directly.

  • Harsh Criticism Over PS5’s Shrinking Lineup of Exclusive Titles

Sony has long championed the “Only On PS5” slogan, but on 5ch, posters are increasingly pointing out how few exclusive titles the console actually has. Only a handful of games were named — Demon’s Souls Remake, Astro Bot, Ghost of Yōtei — and with multiplayer titles increasingly getting PC ports too, many posts questioned what the point of even owning a PS5 is anymore. Partway through, the thread veered into a heated argument over digital game ownership rights.

    Glad I didn’t buy a PS5.

Stop locking titles to specific hardware.

Selling PC versions only of the multiplayer games that need a big player count — doesn’t that basically admit the PS5 as a platform has already lost to gaming PCs?

    That argument again?
Do you seriously think Sony's the only one whose digital versions work differently, and that Nintendo or Steam give you full ownership with playability guaranteed forever?
No matter how many times it's explained, people just can't seem to grasp that digital licensing terms are basically the same everywhere.

    Background and Key Points

Sony’s “Only On PlayStation” pitch dates back to the PS2/PS3 era, when Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) drove a steady stream of first-party exclusives. SCEJ was folded into Sony Interactive Entertainment during a 2019-era restructuring, and under then-CEO Jim Ryan the studio slate pivoted toward live-service titles — the roughly ¥500 billion ($3.6B) Bungie acquisition (2022) and Concord, a hero shooter that shut down just two weeks after its 2024 launch, are the two projects posters cite as money sunk into that failed strategy. Since 2023, Sony has also begun porting flagship single-player games (God of War, Horizon, Spider-Man) to PC, which is the direct source of the “why even own a PS5” complaint — a console now in its sixth year with a genuinely short list of hardware-exclusive titles.

The thread doesn’t agree on where blame sits. One camp treats the thin lineup as proof PS5 has already lost to gaming PCs, and frames anyone defending the console as an “eapure” hyping hardware they don’t even own. Another camp pushes back that the lineup was mediocre even before the live-service pivot, and that single-player games were deprioritized because they don’t fit Sony’s push to monetize PSN accounts. A side argument over “you don’t really own your digital games” flares up around the Destruction AllStars shutdown notice but never gets resolved.

What the thread misses: digital licensing is not a Sony-specific quirk — Nintendo eShop and Steam licenses carry the same revocable-access terms, a point one poster raises near the end but that goes largely unanswered. It also never addresses that PS5 hardware sales have remained strong industry-wide despite the exclusives drought, so the “Sony already lost” framing is more a statement about content strategy than actual market performance.

    Re: #98
    Unfortunately…

    Background and Key Points

Keroro Gunso (Sgt. Frog) is a long-running manga/anime about a comically incompetent alien frog platoon trying to invade Earth; it was a massive hit in the 2000s and spawned a string of licensed games on PS2 and DS, including a well-regarded Tales-team RPG spinoff that one poster (37) still fondly recalls. The new title is a minor tie-in, not a flagship release, and it’s launching on Switch and Steam but not PS5 — notable mainly because it underlines how far PS5 has fallen behind Switch in the Japanese market, where physical carts still move well with the elementary/middle-school audience Keroro is aimed at, while PS5 has been steadily de-emphasizing discs ahead of an expected fully digital future.

The thread isn’t really split on facts — everyone agrees the PS5 snub is real and funny — the friction is over blame and meaning. One camp reads it as proof PS5 has been reduced to Xbox-tier irrelevance in Japan; another insists it’s simply not worth making a AAA-caliber console version of a budget anime game, and that Nintendo fans are cope-posting after wanting it themselves. A side skirmish also breaks out over whether physical release even matters if PS5 abandons discs before the game ships next year.

Readers should know this is 5ch’s “Hardware/Industry (Console Wars)” board, essentially a containment zone for partisan flame wars, so the slurs (“Shou-chan” for Switch fans, playing on “handicapped,” and “Boo-chan”/”Nishi-kun” for Nintendo fans) and gloating are ritualized trash talk, not representative fan sentiment — and a single mid-tier license skipping PS5 says little about Sony’s actual platform strategy.

*This article is excerpted and summarized from the 5ch Hardware/Industry (Console Wars) board thread “Switch fanboy fantasizes “Keroro is a PS5 exclusive!” — turns out it’s the ONLY platform it’s NOT coming to 😆.”

  • Persona 6 Physical Edition Exclusive to PS5 — Xbox and PC Get Digital Only

Sega has announced that the physical edition of Persona 6 will be released exclusively for PS5, with Xbox Series X/S and PC getting digital-only versions. On 5ch’s hardware/industry board, discussion ranged widely — from worries about whether development will make the release date, to concerns over backward compatibility if Sony eventually drops disc drives altogether.

Sega has officially confirmed a physical release for Persona 6 — but with an important caveat. Based on what’s been announced so far, a disc version will only be available for the PS5 edition.

The game is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5, but only PS5 players will be able to buy a physical copy in stores. Xbox and PC players will get digital-only releases, at least for now.

    It's already confirmed PS6 won't have a disc drive,
so I doubt buying the physical disc version will even get you proper backward compatibility.

On the flip side, when Famitsu's sales numbers for the PS version of P6 come out, it'll basically be a clear headcount of how many clueless guys are still out there.
    54AnonymousAug 26, 2026 10:10
P4R is coming next February, so if this lands in late 2027 discs should just barely still be viable.

    101AnonymousAug 26, 2026 11:35
    Re: #99
Production's ending, so that goes for third parties too.

    Background and Key Points

Persona is Atlus’s flagship RPG series, and Atlus itself is a subsidiary of Sega, which is why “Sega” is named as the publisher making this announcement rather than Atlus. The commenters’ references to “5R,” “4G,” and “3R” are shorthand for Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Reload — expanded “complete edition” re-releases that Atlus has sold for every mainline Persona game to date, each adding new content a year or more after the original launch. That pattern is central to why several posters assume Persona 6 will ship “unfinished” with a paid complete edition to follow. The PS5’s disc drive is a detachable add-on peripheral, not a built-in requirement, which is the backdrop for posters’ worry about future backward compatibility once Sony phases out disc support.

The thread doesn’t split on whether Persona 6 is coming — nobody seriously disputes that — it splits on what a PS5-only disc means. One camp reads it as Atlus racing a closing window before physical media disappears industry-wide; another reads it as confirmation the game will launch incomplete, per the established Persona/Atlus playbook; a third fixates on Xbox losing physical support and ties it to the game being a Day One Xbox Game Pass title, implying Microsoft’s subscription deal shaped the format decision.

What the thread never states outright is that no release date for Persona 6 has actually been confirmed — every “2027 vs 2028” deadline discussion here is pure speculation about disc production cutoffs, not information from Sega. Readers unfamiliar with the Japanese gaming market may also not realize physical Xbox releases from Japanese publishers have been rare for years, independent of this specific decision.

    Re: #71
Honestly, "Wall-kun's" (5ch slang for a certain breed of anonymous console-war poster) whole life is basically a living tribute to "The True Story of Ah Q" (the Lu Xun novella that's the actual origin of the term "moral victory").

    Background and Key Points

Elden Ring is FromSoftware’s 2022 action RPG, published in Japan by Bandai Namco and released on PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Series, and PC; it has never had a Switch version, unlike earlier FromSoftware titles such as Dark Souls Remastered, which did get a 2018 Switch port. The board this thread comes from, 5ch’s “Geha” (game hardware/industry) board, is one of the site’s most reliably hostile venues for console-war sniping between Sony, Nintendo, and PC partisans, and the “Wall-kun” jab in the final posts is board-native slang for a poster who retreats into the same console-war script regardless of what actually happens — the reference to Lu Xun’s “The True Story of Ah Q” points to that novella’s coinage of “moral victory,” the trick of reframing any outcome as a win.

What the thread actually splits on isn’t the game itself but the hypothetical Switch port: whether a portable release would add real value, versus the counter that handheld play is already possible on PC hardware, making the whole debate moot. A second, smaller fault line is whether wanting more people to buy Elden Ring reflects genuine fandom or is just console-war cover.

Readers should treat the claim in post 5 — that publishers are buying back their own stock to inflate sales figures — as an unverified accusation nobody in the thread ever sources or defends, not an established fact. The thread also never explains why the Mimic Tear nerf stung so much: it was a summonable ash clone of the player’s own build, powerful enough in both PvE and PvP that repeated balance patches specifically targeted it, which is the backstory behind post 101’s complaint.

*This article is compiled and summarized from the 5ch (Hardware/Industry, “Geha”) board thread “To those buying Elden Ring now, after the rest of us already sank dozens of hours into it and got bored.”
