If you're the ace, you have to be able to endure standing alone at the top.

Why though? Does it really put that much pressure on you?
Look at John and Paul, or Kato-chan and Ken-chan (a famous Japanese comedy duo) —
legendary groups need two people at the top.
They should've made it a two-top with Chan-san instead.
Even as a teenager, if she'd had a personality suited to opening up easily, she could've shared her worries with the other members.
But Sayashi was clearly being pushed alone with special treatment,
and I think that position made it hard to share worries with people around her.
If only they'd worked harder recruiting more 7th and 8th gen members.
Actually, wasn't there a pretty big gap before the 9th generation joined?
Once it became like a two-top with Oda and their singing got compared, that's what broke her.
She broke down because it looked like she was no longer going to be the one standout on her own.
And Oda was so unfazed by it all, lol.
Oda had her own worries in her own way, but Sayashi couldn't know that, so she'd end up comparing herself —
worrying about making mistakes and then making even more mistakes because of it.
It's not that there are more of them — back then, showbiz was basically the only outlet to be seen.
Now there are so many platforms to post on that being at Sayashi's level isn't even something to brag about anymore.
