  • Daisuke Hori Hits Exhaustion Limit on His ’30-Minute Nap’ Livestream — 5ch: “Dude’s About to Pass Out”

On 5ch’s “Nandemo Jikkyo G” board (a general live-commentary forum), Daisuke Hori’s ongoing endurance livestream — run under a “naps allowed, 30 minutes” rule — has become a hot topic. As he keeps the stream running while inserting 40-minute blacked-out, muted segments each time, viewers have voiced concern over his exhaustion and raised questions about what actually counts as a “nap.” Thread posters also wondered whether his paying students even exist, noted that standing the whole time seems to have hurt his back, and pointed out that he barely seems to be doing any strength training — with opinions split over what’s really going on in the stream.

    Looks sleepy
    2AnonymousSep 14, 2026 23:07
    His right eye looks rough.
He seems like the proud type who's putting on a brave face about getting mocked nonstop, but it looks like it's really getting to him mentally.
    3AnonymousSep 14, 2026 23:08
Wait, has he actually slept at all since switching to the naps-allowed rule?

    He did a 40-minute blackout/mute session once.
    5AnonymousSep 14, 2026 23:10
I could understand doing 30-minute sleep if he were busy with work, but he doesn't seem to have anything to do right now, so he should just sleep.
    6AnonymousSep 14, 2026 23:11
Has he finally lost the ability to read comments himself, so now staff read them for him and all he can say is "yeah, yeah"?
    9AnonymousSep 14, 2026 23:13
Even if he actually makes it to the end, what would that even prove?

    12AnonymousSep 14, 2026 23:13

    17AnonymousSep 14, 2026 23:16
    Re: #12
Doesn't that basically amount to admitting the 30-minute thing was impossible? Is that okay for his personal brand?

And also, nobody even asked for that.

Background and Key Points of This Story

What Daisuke Hori appears to be running is an endurance livestream designed to promote a paid course for his students — this kind of “naps-allowed endurance stream” is one of several monetization formats that have become more common among livestreamers in recent years. The thread split mainly over how to define a “nap”: whether the 40-minute blacked-out, muted segments count as “sleep.” Supporters argued it still amounts to meaningful rest, while skeptics saw it as effectively breaking the 30-minute rule. As for the number of students, the figure Hori himself has announced has taken on a life of its own online, and thread guesses like “58 people” or “around 40 people” remain pure speculation. Much of what’s shown about the streamer’s physical condition and expressions is based on his own self-reporting, so viewer reactions shouldn’t be taken at face value as fact.

  • 5ch Users Debate Surviving ‘A Year in Japan 500 Years Ago’ — ‘The H-Sound Used to Be an F-Sound’

A thread titled “History God: ‘Spend a year in Japan 500 years ago.’ Me: ‘Heh…’” started on 5ch’s “Live Anything Broadcast” board (Nanademo Jikkyou G), where users seriously debated whether they could survive one year in Japan around 1526, under the condition that they couldn’t leave their current prefecture. With Nobunaga not yet born, the discussion ranged from the internal strife within the Hosokawa Keichō family and the movements of the Ōuchi clan and Hōjō Ujitsuna, to trivia like the terror of a self-help society where petty quarrels could escalate into full battles, how “ha-hi-fu-he-ho” was actually pronounced back then, and the real size of native horse breeds like the Kiso horse. Opinions were divided on whether a modern person with martial arts experience could stand up to a real samurai.

So what was Japan actually like in 1526?
    Nobunaga not born yet?
Before the Miyoshi clan took control of the Kinai region?
The Hosokawa clan running the shogunate, with the Ōuchi clan as the biggest power by rice yield?
And Hōjō Ujitsuna still rapidly expanding in the Kantō region?
    33AnonymousSep 14, 2026 22:06
    Re: #23
    Nobunaga's not born yet.
The Hosokawa Keichō family is in the middle of a succession dispute, and the Miyoshi are still their subordinates.
The Ōuchi came into the Kinai region a bit earlier but have already gone home.
As for the 'eastern barbarians' out in Kantō, no idea.

    28AnonymousSep 14, 2026 22:04
The hard part is that it wasn't just samurai — commoners were quick to snap too, back then.
This was still a 'self-help' society where you couldn't easily rely on the law for protection even if you were wronged, so the mindset of 'if they think they can walk over you, you're finished' was strong, and disputes never stopped.
People weren't furious all the time, but the bar for anger was a lot lower than it is now.
Here's an example from the Muromachi period (source: 'The Birth of Kenka Ryōseibai' [the 'both sides punished' dueling law])

A maid comes to pick up a hair ornament (motoyui) she'd ordered from a shop, but it isn't finished, so she curses out the shopkeeper
    ↓
The furious shopkeeper beats her and throws her out
    ↓
The furious maid reports it to her master, a samurai
    ↓
The samurai starts plotting to kill the shopkeeper
    ↓
The shopkeeper catches wind of the plot, gathers his friends, and launches a preemptive bow-and-arrow attack in the middle of town
    ↓
The samurai and the shopkeeper end up killing each other
    ↓
Samurai from the Sekiguchi family, the shopkeeper's overlords, mobilize
    ↓
Samurai from the Sanjō family, whom the original samurai served, also mobilize
    ↓
Armed forces clash in the middle of town
    ↓
The Kira family steps in to arbitrate and somehow gets it settled

But Portuguese doesn't even have an 'h' sound to begin with, right?
Can we really trust their 'f' spellings?
    104AnonymousSep 14, 2026 22:44
    Re: #67
    That's an interesting question.
    Short answer: it's probably reliable.
In Portuguese, the 'h' from Germanic languages (English, German, Icelandic, Frankish, etc.) tends to get absorbed as if the word started with a vowel.
Take 'Henry' versus 'Enrique' (sometimes written 'Henrique,' but the initial h eventually stopped being pronounced either way).
That's a name of Germanic Frankish origin (a relative of English, not French).

Since Portuguese treats 'h' as silent, that suggests the Japanese ha-row wasn't an 'h' sound but something closer to 'f' (though not the labiodental f made with the lower lip and upper teeth like in most Indo-European languages — more of a bilabial sound using both lips).
    108AnonymousSep 14, 2026 22:44
    Re: #104
LOL the 'that's an interesting question' bit totally reeks of ChatGPT.
    128AnonymousSep 14, 2026 22:52
    Re: #104
    Isn't that backwards?
When I asked ChatGPT ('Chappy'), it said Latin-derived languages often kept writing 'h' even after they stopped pronouncing it, and Portuguese in particular was quick to drop the silent 'h' from spelling too. So 'Henrique' is actually evidence that it was passed down through writing, not sound.

And as for Japanese, it's actually true that Portuguese isn't reliable evidence here — the leading theory is that the sound was ɸ [a bilabial fricative], not f or h. Portuguese has no letter for that sound, so Portuguese speakers at the time just substituted 'f' instead.

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

The thread’s setting, around 1526, falls at a time when the Hosokawa Keichō family, who held real power in the Muromachi shogunate, was split by a succession dispute, and the Miyoshi clan — who would later become major power players — were still just their vassals. The explanation that the great western daimyo, the Ōuchi clan, had advanced into the Kinai region but had already withdrawn by this point, while Hōjō Ujitsuna’s rise in Kantō was seen from the Kinai as a distant affair involving the ‘eastern barbarians,’ broadly matches the historical record. As for the pronunciation of ‘ha-hi-fu-he-ho,’ posters cited Portuguese missionaries’ romanized Japanese from the era — such as writing Hakata as ‘Facata’ — as evidence, but as one correction in the thread pointed out, this may simply reflect Portuguese (which has no ‘h’ sound) substituting ‘f’; linguists generally favor the theory that the actual sound was closer to the bilabial fricative ‘ɸ.’ The claim that native Japanese horses, epitomized by the Kiso horse, stood only about 120-140cm at the shoulder — pony-sized — was also backed up by the images posted in the thread. Meanwhile, whether a modern person with martial arts experience could beat a samurai remained unresolved, with cautious voices — citing concealed weapons, group combat, and the samurai’s real killing experience — tending to dominate the discussion.

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

Hello! Project idols typically manage their own blogs and Instagram accounts, so fans closely watch posting frequency and like counts as clues to popularity and friendships within the group. Gotoh Hana posts and reacts more often than members from her own class/generation, and her late-night activity stands out, which has fueled speculation that she might be “dependent” on social media or “not doing well.” That said, judging someone’s mental state purely from how often they use social media is nothing more than guesswork, and it’s worth remembering that such conclusions can easily be off base. The thread didn’t stop at Gotoh herself, either — it expanded to cover other members like Makino, Mippuru, and Narin reacting to her posts, as well as popularity comparisons bringing in names like Matsumoto Wakana, Kubota Nanami, Hashisako, and Shimoitani. This offers a glimpse into the kind of informal pecking order and friendships fans sense among members but that never shows up in official announcements — though it’s also mixed with baseless assumptions, so it’s best read as one fan’s take rather than taken at face value.

Some posters brought up the fear of crosswinds on long bridges like the Seto Ohashi, or anxiety about aggressive tailgaters, while plenty of others shared firsthand experience saying things like “it’s totally fine solo” or “I’m even faster than trucks” — opinions on how dangerous it really is varied a lot from person to person. A particular highlight was the debate over whether turning off the AC really makes the car accelerate faster, with several people saying you can feel the difference on hills.

I don't have much money so I figured a kei car would be fine, but I'll probably end up on the highway sometimes — how's that gonna go?
    3AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:01
Just thinking about what happens if you get in an accident…
    4AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:01
    Long distances are rough.
Big bridges like the Seto Ohashi are scary.
    5AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:02
There are guys out there who see a kei car and just feel like tailgating — they'll come chasing you from way back flashing their high beams.
    7AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:02
    It's not dangerous itself.
The question is what you do when some maniac comes at you.
    10AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:03
It's not as simple as "just stay in the left lane."
    12AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:03
Sometimes you get that floating-in-midair feeling — that's when things get real.
    13AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:04
    Acceleration's garbage.
    Turbo model gets garbage mileage.
Cabin's way too loud with engine noise.
    14AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:04
If you crash you'll probably just die instantly, so it's fine, it's fine.
    16AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:05
Do you even realize you're riding around in a coffin?
    23AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:06
    Re: #16
Do you even know what a coffin is?
    17AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:05
As long as you're just crawling along in the left lane at like 90 km/h, there's no problem.
    18AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:05
If I'm getting on the highway, I want something with a sturdier body.
Then again, in a kei car you might not even feel it when you go.
    19AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:06
I've only ever driven turbo models, and it's totally fine.
Too loud to listen to music, so all you can do is sing.
    20AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:06
I wish they'd build a separate highway just for kei cars. Segregate us already.
    21AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:06
A kei car on the highway?
Your mileage tanks too, so what's the point?
Are you just gonna crawl along forever?

I drive a Porsche, and if I floor it around 140-160 km/h I still get about 11 km/L, and I get to my destination faster too.
    22AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:06
I rode in the current Honda kei turbo the other day —
it actually moves fine on the highway.
It keeps accelerating even past 100 km/h, and you can cruise at around 120 km/h.

But still, don't try anything that reckless.
Just stick to the driving lane with adaptive cruise control set to 90 km/h and let it drive for you.
Most importantly, it's way more relaxing!
    26AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:07
Everyone says "what if you crash," but normally you don't crash, so there's nothing to worry about.
    29AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:08
    It's not dangerous.
The highway's full of kei cars.
I've never driven one myself, but they're everywhere out there.
    30AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:08
Honestly I'm faster than trucks, so I just stay in the middle lane the whole time.
    34AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:09
    Re: #30
There are definitely trucks these days doing like 95-100 km/h.
Why don't they ever get pulled over for that?
    31AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:08
The Seto Ohashi is genuinely scary.
Felt like the wind was gonna blow me right into the sea.
    32AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:08
Fine solo, but with passengers weighing it down it gets pretty rough.
    50AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:22
Is it actually true that turning off the AC makes it accelerate?
    55AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:24
    Re: #50
I've heard the AC generally eats up about 3 horsepower.
    96AnonymousSep 14, 2026 22:04
    Re: #50
Kei cars have such small engines that turning on the AC noticeably kills your speed.
On hills, forget about it — you're barely climbing.
    53AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:23
If some maniac comes at you, worst case you die.
    Buy your safety with money.
    95AnonymousSep 14, 2026 22:02
    Re: #53
You can easily die on the highway even without a kei car.
Sounds like you're speeding around thinking you're safe just because you're not in one, buddy.

Rented an N-BOX, had 4 adults on board, took the highway — it was totally fine.
    70AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:32
    Re: #61
Really? I've driven an N-BOX and it barely accelerated past like 60 km/h.
    64AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:29
Even if it's risky, poor people can only afford kei cars, so that's what we drive.

    Re: #71
Well yeah, of course a Mira or Alto can handle that.
    79AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:39
Solo, a kei car's totally fine.
    With passengers, it's tough.
    80AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:40
    Re: #79
Even with all 4 seats full in summer with the AC blasting, you can still cruise at 140 km/h.

Though I only did that because it was a rental — in my own car I wouldn't want to go past 100 km/h.
    89AnonymousSep 14, 2026 21:59
Tried practicing late at night but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get past 80 km/h, so I gave up.
    91AnonymousSep 14, 2026 22:00
    Re: #89
I'm out here searching for a night like that.

Background and key points of this discussion

Kei cars are capped by displacement at 660cc and, under a voluntary industry agreement, at a maximum output of 64 horsepower — leaving much less margin relative to vehicle weight than standard cars. As a result, at highway speeds the power loss from running the AC (felt as a few horsepower), the lack of acceleration needed to pass in the overtaking lane, and instability on bridge sections exposed to crosswinds all tend to stand out. That said, there’s no legal restriction on kei cars using the highway, and some drivers say they can cruise faster than trucks — so how dangerous it feels varies a lot depending on the specific car, how many people are on board, and the stretch of road being driven. The thread surfaced a real difference in experience — “fine solo, tough with a full car” — along with the point that “it’s not the kei car itself that’s dangerous, it’s the highway itself,” so this isn’t simply a case of kei car = danger.

  • Mano Ohtsubo’s Christmas Outfit Goes Viral for the First Time — Fans Sympathize Over ‘Costume Gap’

A photo of Hello! Project idol Mano Ohtsubo in her Christmas costume spread across social media, earning her her first-ever “manbazu” (a post that racks up over 10,000 likes/retweets). What drove the spread wasn’t so much the quality of the outfit itself, but sympathy over how plain it looked next to other members’ costumes, plus talk of a “gap” in how much effort or budget goes into each member’s outfit. On 5ch’s Hello! Project board, reactions ranged from words of encouragement for her and complaints aimed at the agency, to worries about her going viral for a negative reason, and even mockery of the sympathy narrative itself.

    2AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:35
That just makes it sadder, honestly

    5AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:35
    Don't call it a 'gap'
    6AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:36
If this keeps happening she's gonna end up mentally worn down — agency, knock it off already
    7AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:36
Her first-ever manbazu, and it's… this
    8AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:36

    9AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:37
Don't make her go viral for a negative reason, damn it
    10AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:37
She's got great style and she's cute, so I really wish they'd dress her up properly
    11AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:38
Alright! At this rate Hana, Mano, and Yuna are all getting their own manbazu (playing on the members' nicknames)
    12AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:38
You're the one slapping the 'gap' label on her and dragging her down, aren't you
    15AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:39
Serious 'Tamenaga' déjà vu here (echoes a past viral costume-gap moment involving member Yukine Tamenaga)

How many manbazu is this for Yuna now?
    57AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:45
But Ohtsubo's got real leadership qualities, so…
    59AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:50
Since she was kind of getting buried among the new members, there was a stretch where the BEYOOOOONDS senpai were being considerate and writing about Mano a ton on their blogs
    60AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:51
Plain at a glance, but look closely and it's actually pretty striking
    67AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:54

That just means way more people got to see you
    Stay positive!

    Depends on the person
    78AnonymousSep 14, 2026 20:01
Mano-chan should just roll with the 'pitiable character' role
    79AnonymousSep 14, 2026 20:02
Sounds like she's gonna end up asking to change her member color too, like someone else did
    80AnonymousSep 14, 2026 20:02

Background and Key Points of This Topic

In Hello! Project, fans have long pointed out that when trainees get promoted to full members, they tend to get fewer costume and exposure opportunities compared to more senior members in the group — and the word “gap” gets used in that context. This particular manbazu spread less because of the photo’s quality and more because of the sympathetic take that “maybe different members just get different amounts of budget spent on their costumes.” Where the thread split was over whether to simply welcome this wave of sympathy, or to see it as “going viral for a negative reason doesn’t actually help her” — what the agency’s actual intentions were remains pure speculation within the thread, never confirmed either way. It’s also easy to misread the term “manbazu” itself: it’s just slang for when retweets or likes top 10,000 on social media, and doesn’t necessarily mean the reaction was a positive one.

  • “Jiga-chan” Posts on VIP Board Seeking X Followers — Original Songs and Art Spark a Reaction

On 5ch’s “Nnews VIP” board, a poster who calls themselves “Jiga-chan” revealed their X (Twitter) account and started a thread calling out, “Anyone want to connect?” The poster shared original music within the thread and also pointed to a separate account where they post artwork, trading messages with other posters about their age and creative process. They say they usually draw digitally, but plan to try an analog collage piece for a December exhibition. Some commenters, however, questioned whether the account was really genuine and whether it was okay to follow without asking, sparking a side discussion about how to treat a self-introduction that originates on an anonymous message board.

    Background and Talking Points

Threads like this pop up regularly on the VIP board — a genre where someone identifies themselves and asks for social media followers — and there’s no way to verify authenticity beyond the poster’s own word. Details like age, occupation, and working style are all based purely on the poster’s own statements, with no third-party confirmation available. Some commenters in the thread voiced doubts, asking “Is this really them?” and “Is it okay to just follow without asking?”, making the question of how much distance to keep from a self-introduction that started on an anonymous board a loose but recurring theme. Aside from that, the actual back-and-forth — reactions to the original songs, talk about art style, plans for the December exhibition — stayed friendly small talk throughout, with no sign of backlash or conflict. Readers should keep in mind that posts like this are ultimately just self-reported claims on an anonymous board, and neither the linked account’s authenticity nor its connection to the thread’s original poster has been officially confirmed.

  • Job-Hunting NEET Thread Spirals Into a Gender War — 5ch: ‘Bottom of the Barrel, But Still a Woman’

A thread appeared on 5ch’s Newsspeed VIP board, started by a 27-year-old NEET with bipolar disorder who wrote that he’d be heading to the unemployment office (Hello Work) the day after tomorrow. Early replies focused on practical advice — job training programs, job-hunting tips — but the conversation gradually morphed into a heated debate over the gender gap, with claims like “women don’t struggle to find jobs or relationships even with an employment gap.” Late in the thread, a regular poster going by the handle “Kasanobon,” who claimed to earn 15 million yen a year, barged in — and when pressed for proof of income, the screenshot he posted only deepened doubts about whether he was telling the truth.

    176AnonymousSep 14, 2026 19:36
Speaking as someone with a Level 2 bookkeeping certification (boki, a common Japanese accounting qualification), what's shown in Re: #163 is "revenue" — annual sales — not actual income.

Profit margins vary by industry, but with 10 million yen in annual revenue, what you actually take home could be about the same as a regular company employee, or even less.

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

The “job training gets you 100,000 yen a month” system mentioned in the thread refers to Japan’s Vocational Training Benefit. It comes with eligibility requirements tied to household income and assets, so simply living alone doesn’t automatically qualify you for the payment. Separately, when a poster claimed a 15-million-yen annual income late in the thread, another user holding a Level 2 bookkeeping certification pointed out that the figure shown was “revenue” rather than actual income, and that take-home pay in some industries can be little different from that of an ordinary company employee — a useful lens for judging the truth of this kind of “income bragging.” Another notable feature of the thread was that opinions on whether men and women face different levels of difficulty in job hunting and dating never quite reconciled, with the debate running to the end without reaching any real conclusion.

  • Daisuke Hori’s ‘Everyday Life’ Livestream Fails — Questions Mount Over His Pricey Sleep Course

Daisuke Hori, who advocates a “30-minute sleep” method and reportedly sells his own sleep technique as a paid course, started a livestream showing his “everyday life” exactly as it is. But just days into the broadcast, he began showing signs of distress, prompting a wave of comments on 5ch such as “Hasn’t he supposedly kept this up for 17 years — why call it a failure now?” and “Isn’t being watched on a livestream itself an abnormal situation, not really ‘everyday life’?” A post claiming a lawyer once called him a scammer also went viral, and many comments questioned the credibility of his course altogether.

You shouldn't lump that in with people who fall for "get rich quick" info-courses — it's a different kind of vulnerability

Background and Key Points of This Story

Daisuke Hori is known for advocating “30-minute sleep” and reportedly selling his own sleep method as a paid course, with thread posts putting the price at 150,000 yen. This livestream appears to have been meant to show that his lifestyle isn’t anything unusual, but by showing signs of distress right after it began, it instead ended up fueling doubts about whether his course actually works. Some pointed out that a livestream — a constantly monitored, far-from-normal environment — isn’t really a fair way to test “everyday life” in the first place, and opinions remain divided over what caused the failure. Note that the claims that he’s a scammer and the revenue figures mentioned here all come from forum posts and quotes of outside posts, and have not been independently confirmed.

  • GTA6 Struggles on Japan’s PS Store Charts, Stuck in Double Digits

A thread on 5ch’s “Live News G” board featured images comparing PS Store rankings across countries. In Japan, GTA6 failed to crack the top spots and sat stuck in double digits, while in the US it ranked near the top — sparking a debate among posters about “how Japanese gamers play.” The top of the Japanese chart was dominated by mobile-born titles like Zenless Zone Zero, alongside next year’s FF7 Remake Part 3 and Romancing SaGa 3 Remake, leading to a range of theories for GTA6’s poor showing: unfamiliarity with the American setting, the PS5’s price, and Japan’s own distinct gaming tastes.

Background and Key Points of the Discussion

GTA6 has drawn worldwide attention since before its release, and its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto V, has sold over 230 million copies since launching in 2013 — one of the best-selling games of all time. In this thread, posters floated several theories for why the sequel is underperforming on Japan’s PS Store charts: discomfort with its crime- and violence-focused world, unfamiliarity with an American urban setting, the country’s enduring preference for anime-style character-driven games like Pokémon, and the high price of PS5 hardware — with no single explanation winning out. The latest rankings are topped by mobile-born titles like Zenless Zone Zero, reflecting a broader trend in the Japanese market where the line between console and mobile gaming keeps blurring.

  • Magical Girl Image Showdown Ignites 5ch Thread — ‘Ooh-Magic! 😆’

In a freewheeling chat thread on 5ch’s “Nandemo Jikkyo G” (Anything-Goes Live-Commentary board), users kept posting images of magical girl characters from franchises like Madoka Magica, Yuki Yuna Is a Hero, and Pretty Cure, one after another. Along the way the conversation veered into a question about the age range of Chiikawa’s fanbase and a lighthearted debate over which Madoka Magica character would make the best mom — the topic hopping around at the breakneck pace typical of these chat threads. Then, right in the middle of it all, an official livestream announcement for the mobile game ‘Ame Nochi Hare Onna’ (roughly, ‘Rainy, Then Sunny Girl’) suddenly popped up, giving a real taste of the chaotic energy of a live-commentary thread in real time.

    Background and Talking Points

“Nandemo Jikkyo G” is a board where casual chatter runs all day long and isn’t tied to commentary on any particular broadcast, and the thread title “Magical Girl Yamada” is just a fixed catchphrase regularly used on this board — it has no direct connection to the actual content of the posts. That’s why, as happened here, one person’s posted image tends to snowball into a chain of other characters’ images, with the conversation itself carrying little real continuity. What stands out this time is that an official livestream announcement for ‘Ame Nochi Hare Onna’ got dropped into the middle of the chatter, and the announcement went out of its way to state it contains “no information related to the Pokémon series” — suggesting the people behind it wanted to head off any confusion with the Pokémon-related buzz expected around the same period. Lighter topics, like the debate over which Madoka Magica character would make the best mom, stayed at the level of harmless commentary on the shows themselves, and no posts were found escalating into criticism of real people or the production staff.
