‘Bunny Garden’ TGS Exhibit List Shows PS5 Support, Sparking Authenticity Debate

The story

An image circulating on social media claimed that the list of titles at Konami’s TGS 2026 booth showed “Switch 2/PS5” as the supported platforms for ‘Bunny Garden,’ sparking discussion on 5ch’s hardware/industry board. It was initially taken as evidence the game was “ditching Nintendo,” but a user who actually checked out the venue in person called it “fake news” and posted a photo to back that up. Others pushed back, noting that a Famitsu TGS feature article apparently mentions a PS5 version announcement for the original ‘Bunny Garden,’ leaving the thread split over what was actually true. Alongside the authenticity debate, users were also curious about the mechanics behind why other companies’ titles show up at Konami’s booth in the first place, since it isn’t their own distribution network.

He went to all the trouble of coming out here—what are we even supposed to do with him now

Didn't peg PS fanboys as into this kind of game ("Goki" = derisive 5ch nickname for PlayStation fans, short for "cockroach")

Bunny Garden at the Konami booth?
10AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:43
Re: #5
Probably because partner companies' games get exhibited there too
Sega's been doing the same thing for ages
6AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:42
Is it even possible to put this out on a PlayStation that's buried in censorship rules?
8AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:43
Went and checked myself, it's fake

Re: #8
Ryokucha (the blog) is probably writing about this off Famitsu's early-access TGS feature article — that's about the PS5 version announcement for Bunny Garden 1
Guess 2 gets ported over after 1, maybe
14AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:45
Sounds like they're still salty Stellar Blade ended up on Switch
15AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:45
Well, thinking about it calmly, there's no way they'd have a playable demo out of nowhere without even an announcement first 🤭

Re: #18
They were begging for Xenoblade and Fire Emblem too ("gimme-gimme" — 5ch slang for whining after console-exclusive ports)
27AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:49
Re: #23
Begging for first-party exclusives on someone else's platform just shows how desperate they are
26AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:49
That's just the uncensored "home version," right? lol (slang for the original, uncut release as opposed to a censored port)
30AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:50
Re: #26
Still dragging up the Omega Labyrinth "home version" thing, lol (a jab about its uncensored original release vs. the heavily censored later port)
33AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:50
Was the censorship cranked up in 2 because a PS5 version was already in the works?
38AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:52
Re: #33
This is about the original game, isn't it
49AnonymousSep 16, 2026 17:56
"PC games abandoning Nintendo" makes no sense at all

Re: #49
Guess that's what happens when you've got no interest in games and don't bother checking facts…
They embarrass themselves every time, but they never learn

Re: #49
There are people out there bashing developers over "snubbing Xbox" on PC/PS multiplats, going on about some "debt of gratitude" to Microsoft — everybody's awful in their own way, honestly

No matter how much they shout "AAA! Photorealistic!" this is what they actually want deep down

Not satisfied with Sony Garden's Aloy or the bald space dude? (jab referencing PlayStation-exclusive heroines, e.g. Horizon's Aloy)
105AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:36
Re: #52
There's also the "20-year-old hag" (mocking that Western PS heroines like Aloy get called old hags despite being only 20)
66AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:04
It's at the Konami booth because smaller publishers use Konami's distribution
This topic comes up every single TGS
The Trails in the Sky series is handled at the Konami booth too
78AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:10
Re: #66
Qureate is basically download-only — the commemorative physical release of 2 that came out after it sold well was published by KADOKAWA
If they're borrowing someone else's booth, wouldn't it be KADOKAWA's?
87AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:14
Re: #78
Maybe KADOKAWA uses Konami's distribution too?
93AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:20
Re: #78
Sounds like there's no KADOKAWA booth this year
71AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:07
I'll probably get called jealous for saying this, but does this game even need to exist? The actual gameplay is completely hollow and it just reuses one single character model over and over — even Senran Kagura had more variety than this
74AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:08
Re: #71
Yeah, the only "fun" here is gacha reroll grinding, drinking pricey booze, some weird minigames, or getting wasted at karaoke
76AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:09
The way they're abnormally obsessed with ShinePost too just adds to the creepiness
80AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:10
Re: #76
Honestly they probably want a ShinePost game more than Bunny Garden, so this feels like "not it" to them
96AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:24
Re: #87
Has a company as big as KADOKAWA ever used another company's distribution before?
104AnonymousSep 16, 2026 18:35
Re: #96
Their games don't sell well enough to justify running their own distribution
They'd probably never survive on just the rare FromSoftware release alone

Background and Key Points of Debate

It’s not unusual for Konami to lend its distribution network to other companies’ titles for exhibitions — commenters in the thread pointed to past examples like the “Trails in the Sky” series. The core of this dispute is whether the “Switch 2/PS5” listing on the TGS exhibitor sheet should be read as a complete departure from Nintendo hardware or simply an added PS5 version of an existing release; on-site verification and citations of related articles have gone back and forth without settling the matter. What readers may easily get wrong is that, at this stage, there’s been no official announcement — it’s all speculation based on exhibit-sheet listings and circulated images, so this is a story that needs follow-up confirmation. Some speculated a link between the original title’s content restrictions and a PS5 release, but that too remains a single opinion within the thread with no supporting evidence.
