Unreleased FromSoftware Game ‘Duskblood’ Already Playable in PC Multiplayer — 5ch: ‘Poor FromSoftware’

From our other sites

The story

“Duskblood” is an unreleased title from FromSoftware, but data from a pre-release network test has reportedly leaked and been decrypted, and 5ch users report the game is now playable in multiplayer on PC via an emulator. Cases of an unreleased title getting up and running like this are rare, and the thread was split: some criticized the development and sales strategy — “it’s their own fault for releasing on hardware that’s easy to emulate,” “this is the result of a timed exclusive on Nintendo hardware” — while others offered cooler takes, questioning “is there even a point to pirating an online game just to play it?”

Isn't it FromSoftware's own fault for releasing on garbage hardware that gets emulated so easily? lol
3AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:22
This is what happens when you do a timed exclusive on Nintendo hardware.
5AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:26
It hasn't even been released yet, what is going on here 🥺
6AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:29
The network test data probably stayed on the console and someone pulled it off from there.
7AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:29
This could tank the whole business.
Wouldn't be surprised if it gets cancelled.
8AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:30
It's a PS3-tier game so of course it's easy to emulate, but wrong is wrong.
9AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:30
Sure, it's embarrassing for a Reiwa-era PvP game to only run at 30fps,
but honestly the game system itself is too mediocre to even bother emulating.
10AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:30
They went through all the trouble of making it exclusive, and now the PC version launches first? That's hilarious lol
11AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:31
Maybe, like Zelda, someone will make a native PC build instead of relying on an emulator, so we get at least 60fps PvP.
14AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:33
It's a total mess at this point, but MGO (Metal Gear Online) was also played on emulated servers back in the day.
15AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:33
Well obviously this means every game released on Switch 2 ends up free eventually.
Guess there's no need to buy games anymore.
Sounds like we won't need GTA6 either, as long as it gets cracked.
16AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:35
How many times are you going to make the same thread, you criminal.
18AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:36
Re: #16
First time I've seen it, didn't realize it's already been posted several times.
19AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:37
Re: #16
If you're going to say that, maybe you shouldn't have made those PS piracy threads yourself.
17AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:36
This is what happens when you run a network test on Switch 2.
21AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:38
FromSoftware went to all this trouble to roll it out properly,
and it's just tragic that they ran into this Nintendo-platform risk.
22AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:40
Re: #18
This makes at least the third time now.
It keeps getting taken down by the rights holder right away, so this is basically a criminal thread spreading criminal content.
23AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:41
It's a shoddier game than Bloodborne anyway,
so if there were a native PC build instead of an emulator, even a crappy PC could probably run it at 4K60fps lol

Re: #19
If you claim to cater to a mature adult userbase, I'd rather you not act like you have to retaliate tit-for-tat — if anything, you're out here making garbage threads with ten times the intensity.

Re: #27
Even the grown-up Hanzawa Naoki said 'if they hit you, hit back twice as hard!' (a famous line from the TV drama Hanzawa Naoki) 🥺
37AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:55
…Is there even a point to pirating an online game?
Other than feeding your need for validation.
39AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:57
Re: #37
I guess they set up their own private server to play on.
41AnonymousNov 8, 2026 23:59
Re: #37
You can already guess the quality of people who hang out on pirate servers, so I'd rather not get near them.
55AnonymousNov 9, 2026 00:16
Poor FromSoftware.
57AnonymousNov 9, 2026 00:17
Re: #55
Exactly.
Nothing but trash people.
59AnonymousNov 9, 2026 00:23
Re: #39
The Korean MMO that FromSoftware supposedly ripped off already shut down its service, and sure enough, people just built emulator servers and keep playing it.
64AnonymousNov 9, 2026 00:30
Re: #59
Wait, is that free?
You mean someone's volunteering their own server to host it?
62AnonymousNov 9, 2026 00:28
It's their own fault for putting out a test build and then taking forever on the official release.
66AnonymousNov 9, 2026 00:37
Doing this with test data from a game that hasn't even released yet seems pretty bad, right?

Re: #62
That's beside the point.
74AnonymousNov 9, 2026 01:37
Re: #71
Switch 2, already crushed by the long-finished PS5, is probably getting ready to pull out at this point.
75AnonymousNov 9, 2026 01:41
Re: #74
Third-parties preparing to pull out actually seems like a reasonable call.
I'd guess handhelds will end up with nothing but mobage (mobile/gacha games) going forward.
78AnonymousNov 9, 2026 01:45
In the end, even with a crack out there, people stay wary and nobody actually plays it.
Most are probably still waiting for the real official service.
Feels like your files could get encrypted and you'd get hit with a ransom demand later.

Re: #78
It's not like this is Nintendo we're talking about, they wouldn't do that.
79AnonymousNov 9, 2026 01:46
If they'd just released it on PC in the first place, none of this piracy would've happened.
80AnonymousNov 9, 2026 01:48
Re: #79
Yeah, probably 🥺
85AnonymousNov 9, 2026 02:01
It'll be fine.
It's a super safe place, right?
86AnonymousNov 9, 2026 02:02
Re: #85
No, it's not safe.

Background and key points of this topic

“Duskblood,” the title at the center of this discussion, is an upcoming release from FromSoftware, and it appears that data from a pre-release network test leaked and ended up running via an emulator on PC. Commenters in the thread pointed out that similar information has circulated multiple times already, each time taken down by the rights holder, suggesting this kind of “cracked” information keeps resurfacing. Opinions split over where to place the blame: some criticized the platform side, saying the game was “released on hardware that’s too easy to emulate” or that this is “the result of a timed exclusive on Nintendo hardware,” while others questioned the title itself, arguing that “the game system is too mediocre to be worth emulating.” Notably, there was little discussion that dug into the ethics of using leaked data without authorization — most of the thread focused on confirming whether it worked and swapping impressions.
