  • Ryusei Ryo Leaves Ken-On After 16 Years: “I’ll Never Forget the Kindness I Received”

Actor Ryusei Ryo (33) has announced his departure from Ken-On, the talent agency he’s been with for 16 years since his debut. On his Instagram, he wrote, “I’ll never forget the kindness I received.” On 5ch, threads lit up with speculation — tied to a possible sequel — over whether Shinjo, the character he played in the TBS drama VIVANT, is alive or dead, along with posts comparing him to fellow actor Ryusei Yokohama and looking back at his past roles, including his stand-in casting in the taiga drama Hikaru Kimi e and his role as Niini in the morning drama Chimudondon. Given the Ken-On connection, the conversation also branched into the current affiliations of Misaki Ito and Kumiko Goto.

    Background and Talking Points

Ken-On is a major talent agency whose roster includes names like Misaki Ito and Kumiko Goto (“Gokumi”), so the thread also touched on the status of other people at the agency. Ryusei Ryo had been with the agency for 16 years since his debut, and neither the reason for leaving nor his next destination was disclosed in his own announcement. VIVANT was a TBS drama that aired in 2023; Ryusei’s character Shinjo is shot during the show, and the story ended without confirming whether he lived or died, which is why the thread split between “he’s alive” and “he’s dead” theories. One poster also noted that the sequel has already finished filming in full, so Shinjo’s fate may become clear once it airs. The comparison with his same-generation peer Ryusei Yokohama also came up, though it wasn’t meant to rank the two by popularity or skill so much as point out differences in how often each has landed lead roles. Whether the agency departure itself was amicable can’t be determined from the article, and it’s worth remembering these are just posters’ speculation.

*This article is compiled from excerpts and a summary of the 5ch (Geinou/Sports News Plus) thread “Ryusei Ryo Leaves Ken-On, the Agency He’s Been With Since His Debut: “I’ll Never Forget the Kindness I Received” — VIVANT’s Shinjo Role Also a Hot Topic“.

  • Kohara Bras Calls Out the Anti-Media Crowd — 5ch Fires Back: ‘Isn’t the Source Itself Biased?’

Russian-born TV personality Kohara Bras sparked discussion by pointing out on Threads that many internet users who rage against the “trash media” are, in fact, citing Yahoo News articles that were originally produced by that very same “trash media.” In a 5ch thread, some users agreed with the point, while others pushed back, arguing that “information TV won’t report is circulating on social media.” Opinions split over where distrust in the media really comes from and how people should be consuming information.

    8/31 (Mon) 12:15

Kohara Bras (34), a Russian-born columnist and TV personality who grew up in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, updated Threads by the 31st with his take on internet users who accuse the media of biased reporting.

Kohara began, “When you check out the accounts of the guys on X screaming stuff like ‘The media sucks! Biased reporting! They should go under!’ — they’re usually posting about current events by quoting Yahoo News.” He then jabbed, “And I always think, are you sure that’s okay? Because the outlet behind that Yahoo News article is the very media you claim to hate.” He added sarcastically, “In the end, when something’s reported in a way that matches their own beliefs, they happily swallow it without question — but when it doesn’t match, they start yelling about ‘biased reporting.’ Maybe we should coin a term for these people, like ‘information-illiterate,’ for this age of information overload.”

    Re: #3
    That's some serious blame-shifting.
The ones responsible for the public's right to know are the public themselves — including you.
If you think the media isn't living up to that duty, then you should be the one stepping up to fulfill it.
    8AnonymousAug 31, 2026 16:34
    >When you're watching the news and you think,
"Why is this getting such huge coverage?"
or, conversely, "Why is everyone so quiet about this?" —
that gut feeling is usually right.
The answer is rarely found in the "facts" themselves — it's in the "structure."

    More than "what's being said,"
what matters is "what's NOT being said."

    The generational divide:
    TV generation:
"Whatever gets big coverage = important."

    Internet generation:
"The very act of staying quiet about something is suspicious."

This gap is exactly what surfaces as "distrust of the media."
    12AnonymousAug 31, 2026 16:36
Huh? Well, of course the source of biased reporting is the media, isn't it?
    14AnonymousAug 31, 2026 16:37

So when it matches your own beliefs, it's suddenly not biased?

That's the real problem here — do you genuinely believe your own worldview is simply correct?

Background and Key Points of the Debate

At the heart of Kohara’s point is the structural fact that major portals like Yahoo News mostly just redistribute articles originally produced by newspapers and TV stations. He was highlighting the irony that people who repeatedly bash the “trash media” on social media are, in fact, relying on that very media as their source. The thread split over where to place the blame for distrust in reporting. Some voiced frustration over the media failing to report things it should — essentially an accusation of negligence — while others pointed to the structural reality that no outlet can ever achieve total neutrality. The exchange also revealed that social media and online outlets have developed their own biases and misinformation problems in recent years, suggesting this issue can’t be reduced to a simple old-media-versus-new-media question of who’s more trustworthy.

*This article is compiled and summarized from excerpts of the 5channel (Geinou/Sports News+) thread “Kohara Bras responds to cries of “The media sucks! Biased reporting!” with: “The source is literally the media you hate so much… maybe check it yourself.”“

There's a 'mammoth-level happy!' right there. (a nod to Arale's classic catchphrase from Dr. Slump)

    Background and Talking Points

Masakazu Katsura is known for Wingman (serialized from 1983), I’s (from 1997), and Video Girl Ai (from 1989), among other works, though in recent years his main activity has shifted from new serialized manga to posting illustrations on X. He’s particularly known for photorealistic art that renders every wrinkle in a butt or a pair of panties, earning him the half-joking fan nickname “the panty craftsman.” This time, what sparked discussion was an “occult-style” illustration that broke sharply from his usual style — and it’s that gap itself that drove the surprise. Reactions in the thread were split: some offered harsh critiques of the artwork itself, while others reminisced about his classic works or came away with renewed appreciation for his raw drawing skill. Worth noting: the “tracing” suspicion raised by some posters isn’t something confirmed in the original article — it remains pure speculation from 5ch.

※This article is excerpted and summarized from the 5ch (Geinou/Sports News+) thread “Video Girl Ai Creator Masakazu Katsura’s Occult Art Shocks the Internet: “I Can’t Believe He Can Draw Like This!” “So Intense” “Kind of Scary…”“

  • Kazlaser Gripes That Shinkansen Curtains Are Too Thin: ‘80% of the Sunlight Gets Through’ — 5ch: ‘Just Use an Eye Mask’

On the August 28 broadcast of the radio show ‘Weekly! Shabe-Laser’ (SBS Radio), Kazlaser complained that the curtains on Shinkansen windows are “too thin.” Even when pulled down, he said, about 80% of the sunlight still gets through, leaving him unable to sleep because of the glare — a comment that sirabee.com turned into an article, which then went viral. On 5ch, the reaction was split: practical suggestions like “just carry an eye mask” made up the majority, but there were also plenty of replies speculating that the curtains “might be deliberately thin to stop people from sleeping through their stop,” as well as comments that went further and judged Kazlaser himself, saying his “whole act has become nothing but complaining.” The thread ended up split between practical advice and commentary on the man himself.

Kazlaser, of the comedy duo Maple Chogokin, appeared on the radio show ‘Weekly! Shabe-Laser’ (SBS Radio) on the 28th. He brought up the in-car environment of the Shinkansen and voiced his displeasure, saying, “The window curtains are way too thin.”

“When you ride the Shinkansen, there’s a curtain on the window, right? I always think that thing is way too thin,” Kazlaser began, pointing out that even when you pull the curtain down to block the sunlight, “about 80% of the light still comes through” — criticizing how poor it is at actually blocking light.

“You pull it down because you don’t want the sunlight, right? But it still flickers through completely…” he said, revealing his discomfort while riding.

The Hyuma Hoshi one is recommended (a novelty eye mask themed after the intense-eyed protagonist of the classic anime Star of the Giants).

Background and Key Points of This Topic

Among the replies, some speculated that the reason Shinkansen window curtains feel thin might be the fire-resistance standards imposed on interior materials, or a deliberate effort to stop passengers from dozing off and missing their stop. However, neither of these is an official explanation from JR — they remain purely user speculation. In fact, unlike local trains, the Shinkansen has fewer stops and shorter stopping times, so if you fall into a deep sleep, the risk of being carried a long way past your intended stop before the next one is significant. While practical opinions along the lines of “this is solved just by using an eye mask” made up the majority of the thread, a fair number of responses also framed Kazlaser’s comment itself as “complainer-like” or “attention-seeking,” with the conversation notably drifting more toward judging the man’s reputation than debating the actual content. Some replies also mentioned Shinkansen cars with private compartments, referencing a service that JR companies have been rolling out in recent years — though the thread being covered here isn’t actually debating the merits of that service itself.

*This article is compiled from excerpts and a summary of the 5ch (Geisports Sokuho+) thread ‘Kazlaser’s ‘Complaint’ About the Shinkansen: “The window curtains are super thin. Isn’t it too bright when you want to sleep? Why does the Shinkansen never change?”‘

  • Kohmi Hirose-produced girl unit ‘UtaHime’ to disband — 5ch: ‘We should have helped raise their profile more’

UtaHime, the female vocal unit produced by Kohmi Hirose (60), announced its disbandment on August 29. The group had only made its major debut on November 26, 2025, and the breakup takes effect September 3, 2026. Discussion on the 5ch thread ranged from opinions on the costumes, music video direction, and choice of group name, to broader structural issues like the sheer number of idol/talent hopefuls in Japan — with users split over whether it came down to “lack of talent” or “lack of promotion.”

Also, the UtaHime songs are written way too specifically for UtaHime
That's why the lyrics keep chanting stuff like "UtaHime! UtaHime!" over and over…

As for the Juice=Juice song commission, she talked about it on a livestream —
    the label apparently told her,
"We'd like you to write it the way you'd write one of your own singles"
and when she said, "But my key is really high,"
    they told her,
"It's fine, these girls can sing it, we'll have them sing it"
So apparently she wrote "Kurakura Climax" the way she'd write one of her own singles

    Background and Talking Points

UtaHime had only made its major debut on November 26, 2025, making this a breakup announcement roughly ten months later. Producer Kohmi Hirose has a track record of writing songs for artists like Ryoko Hirosue and Kazue Fukiishi, and the thread also brought up an anecdote (from one of her livestreams) about writing a song for Juice=Juice. At the same time, Japan’s domestic idol scene is so saturated — with around 1,000 groups performing at the Tokyo Idol Festival alone and an estimated 8,200 idol hopefuls nationwide — that many pointed to differences in buzz and promotional budget as the deciding factor. Opinions in the thread split between viewing it as a matter of “lacking talent/charm” versus “lacking promotion,” with plenty of specific complaints about the costume choices and musical/video direction. Comparisons were also drawn with past units like Shoujotai and HANA, with mixed opinions on Hirose’s producing skills themselves.

  • Educational-background YouTuber “wakatte.tv” embroiled in fresh controversy over Fukushima University video remarks

The educational-background YouTube channel “wakatte.tv” (770,000 subscribers) is facing backlash after saying, in a Fukushima University campus survey video, that they “don’t want to let Fukushima University touch” the topic of nuclear power and radiation. The channel had only just weathered another controversy in early August, when Kyushu University professor Seiki Okazaki said he felt “strong disgust” toward the show’s habit of teasing students over how hard their university was to get into, going so far as to call for an apology and for the channel to consider shutting down. This time, reaction on 5ch focused less on the remark itself and more on the show’s whole format of ranking people by academic background for laughs, how YouTubers make their money, and the cast member’s own final educational background (a Kyoto University dropout).

Criticism is spreading on X over remarks made in a Fukushima University campus survey video posted on August 28 by the educational-background YouTube channel “wakatte.tv” (770,000 subscribers).

Headwinds continuing from a Kyushu University professor’s criticism

The channel had already become a subject of debate on social media since early August. It started when Professor Seiki Okazaki of Kyushu University’s Graduate School of Law said he felt “strong disgust” toward the show’s method of teasing students over how hard their university was to get into, and called for an apology over the discriminatory remarks and for the channel to consider shutting down.

Todai and Kyodai have value just from getting in. Simply being accepted proves you rank above people who graduated from any other university, as a human being — so these two don't count as "high school grad" level. In this case, society's read on his final education isn't "high school grad," it's "Kyoto University dropout." You'd have to graduate from Todai or Kyodai yourself before you can look down on this guy.

For these people, whether it's backlash or praise, as long as the numbers go up they make big money — so they're just saying outrageous stuff on purpose. They probably say things they don't even believe. It's something they're forced to do to make a living, so criticizing them for it is misguided.

Cram schools and prep schools are a shady business that stokes hensachi (deviation-score) anxiety to squeeze money out of exam candidates' parents, so making videos like this actually makes some sense. Cram-school and prep-school teachers get looked down on by university professors anyway.

Well, of course. A cram-school teacher is basically like a tradesman. There's a kind of rank and status in the world that's separate from actual skill or ability.

Background and key points of this discussion

“wakatte.tv” is a channel focused on academic background/pedigree with 770,000 subscribers, and one of its cast members is known as a popular instructor at Takeda Juku (a cram-school chain) who dropped out of Kyoto University. In early August, Kyushu University professor Seiki Okazaki publicly criticized the channel’s method of teasing students over how hard their university was to get into, even calling for an apology and for the channel to consider shutting down. This latest controversy, over remarks made in the Fukushima University campus survey video, was reported as a continuation of that earlier incident, but reaction on 5ch spread beyond the rights and wrongs of the remark itself to cover the show’s whole format of getting laughs by ranking people by academic background, and debate over YouTube’s business model of turning backlash into views and revenue. Opinions were also split over how to rate a “Kyoto University dropout” background — some said it’s “different from a high school grad,” others said it ranks “below a graduate of an F-rank university” — and the fact that commenters got so worked up over academic pecking order arguably put them on the same playing field as the very show they were criticizing.

  • Tatsunoko’s ‘Paul’s Miracle Operation’ Gets Its First-Ever Blu-ray Release to Mark 50th Anniversary

Paul’s Miracle Operation, which Tatsunoko Pro began airing in October 1976, finally received its first-ever Blu-ray release on August 28, 2026, marking the 50th anniversary of its premiere. The fairy-tale-flavored adventure anime follows Paul and friends as they journey through a mysterious world to rescue Nina, who has been kidnapped by the demon king Belt Satan; all 50 episodes originally aired. On the 5channel Geinou/Sports News+ board, the thread filled up with people humming the theme song, memories that “the story never seemed to move forward,” and comments that Belt Satan’s design is still scary today — reactions split sharply between the generation that watched it back then and those who’ve never heard of it at all.

    2026.08.30

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Paul’s Miracle Operation’s broadcast premiere, the series’ first-ever Blu-ray release hit shelves on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Paul’s Miracle Operation is a TV anime produced by Tatsunoko Pro that aired a full 50 episodes starting in October 1976. Background and Talking Points on This Topic

Paul’s Miracle Operation is a TV anime produced by Tatsunoko Pro that aired starting in October 1976. Unlike the studio’s contemporaneous hero shows like Gatchaman, Casshern, and Polymar, it leaned heavily into fantasy aimed at young children. In the thread, reactions split sharply even among people of the same generation depending on whether they’d actually watched it — some vividly remember the theme song and Belt Satan’s design, while plenty of others said “I have zero memory of this” or “never heard of it.” Tatsunoko’s works were often made with overseas export in mind, and commenters noted that giving settings Western-sounding names is a trait shared with several of the studio’s other titles. It’s worth noting this Blu-ray release is a standalone move for this one title — it’s easy to misread it as a promise of reruns or releases for other old Tatsunoko shows, but that’s not guaranteed.

  • New ‘GTO’ Ratings Finally Sink Into the 1% Range — 5ch: ‘This Is GT-Zero’

The new live-action series of ‘GTO’ has been in steady decline since its household rating of 6.4% for episode 1, sliding to a household rating of 3.0% and an individual rating of just 1.7% for episode 6, which aired last week. The original 1998 series averaged a household rating of 28.5% across its entire run — meaning this new version already started out at less than half of that in its premiere, and has only fallen further since. On 5ch, some defended the show by pointing to viewership on the TVer catch-up streaming service (‘ratings? in this day and age?’), while others dove into comparisons with the original series or revisited the history behind Fuji TV’s past ratings slump — opinions were all over the map.

    From episode 1 through episode 6 (aired last week), household ratings ran 6.4%, 4.8%, 4.0%, 3.9%, 3.8%, 3.0%, while individual ratings ran 3.8%, 2.9%, 2.4%, 2.1%, 2.2%, 1.7%.

Considering the original 1998 series averaged a household rating of 28.5% across its entire run, the new version’s premiere rating of 6.4% was already pretty dismal — and last week’s episode came in at less than half of even that premiere number.

The individual rating also fell to less than half of its premiere figure last week, dropping into the dreaded 1% range.

    Re: #139
Even if it's trending, jumping in partway through kills the motivation to watch
That's why I end up paying for services that stream every episode instead

Background and Key Points on This Topic

Japanese TV ratings come in two types: “household ratings,” measured per household, and “individual ratings,” tallied per viewer, with the latter given more weight as a gauge of how well a drama reaches its core adult audience. The “1% range” cited for this new series refers to the individual rating. Some in the thread pointed to viewership figures from catch-up streaming services like TVer, but streaming views aren’t included in the current ratings surveys, so the two figures can’t be directly compared — a point that’s easy to misunderstand. There’s also roughly a 30-year gap between this series and the 1998 version used for comparison, and overall household ratings across terrestrial TV have been declining throughout that time, which also factors into the difference. It’s worth noting that the “AKIRA-led version” mentioned in the thread was a separate 2012 series/special, not part of this new series. While some commenters pointed to criticism of Fuji TV’s past programming decisions as the source of its ratings slump, pinning the cause on any single event is disputed, and no definitive conclusion has been reached.

Actress Yuriko Ishida (56) updated her pet-dedicated Instagram on August 30, revealing that she had installed a statue recreating the likeness of her dog Yuki, who died in July, in her room. Yuki was a golden retriever about to turn 12 who had been battling a malignant tumor called hemangiosarcoma since around March this year. Ishida commented, “I pet it every day and treasure it.” On a thread on 5ch’s Entertainment/Sports News+ board, opinions split over the propriety of this way of mourning. Some expressed surprise that she chose a statue rather than taxidermy, comparing it to a Buddhist altar or memorial tablet, while other posts focused on concern over visible cracks in the statue.

Even when a family member or close friend dies, you wouldn't taxidermy them and put them on display, right? So her sense of 'pet' is actually stronger than people who treat pets like family.
But her love for the pet is also stronger than your average dog lover's — normal people just don't taxidermy their pets.

People like that probably look for retired breeding dogs or retired guide dogs instead.

Mochimaru's owner (the famous cat-influencer account) probably says the same thing.
    136AnonymousAug 31, 2026 05:11
This is why I always say it — don't get your pet neutered or spayed just because their heat cycle annoys you, that's pure owner ego. If you let them have puppies, you'll still have their kids around when your dog eventually dies, and that'll be a comfort.

That's just common sense. Anyone against it better never bring up 'discrimination' again.

    Background and Talking Points

Hemangiosarcoma, cited as the cause of death for Ishida’s dog Yuki, is a malignant tumor that forms in the blood vessels of the spleen or heart — a canine cancer known for progressing quickly, often already at an advanced stage by the time it’s discovered. Golden retrievers typically live to around 10-13 years old, and Yuki was battling the disease at “almost 12.” On the thread, opinions split between those who viewed it positively as a “form of mourning” similar to a memorial photo or Buddhist altar, and those who felt uneasy about preserving the dog’s actual likeness so directly. There were also comments about her choosing a statue over taxidermy, and about cracks in what appears to be a wooden material, drawing interest not just in shared grief but in the craftsmanship itself. Note that posts mocking her political views or dating/marriage history, as well as posts containing discriminatory language, have been excluded from this article as only tangentially related to the main topic.

  • Angerme’s Autumn Tour Draws Even Fewer Fans Than Spring — 5ch: “They Have No Absolute Center”

On a 5ch thread frequented by Hello! Project fans, a discussion broke out after a poster pointed out that idol group Angerme’s autumn tour ticket sales are struggling even more than the spring tour. Some in the thread argued that the group has “no absolute center” since Kamiko’s graduation, and others noted that the NHK Osaka venue looked only about half full, while others pushed back that “tickets only went on sale the day before, so it’s too early to judge” — opinions split over the reasons for the slump and what it means going forward.

    Losing even more trust.
    6AnonymousAug 31, 2026 08:11
Any amateur could've predicted this would happen.
Is everyone at Up-Front management as dim as Inoue Kazuki? (a soccer figure whose name is slang for "clueless")
    7AnonymousAug 31, 2026 08:12
    Re: #6
They're only doing this to shut the otaku up about suddenly dropping hall tours — it switches to livehouse tours next year anyway.
    10AnonymousAug 31, 2026 08:13
Juice=Juice rebuilt their trust brick by brick after it once hit rock bottom, so by the time they blossomed it was rock solid.
    25AnonymousAug 31, 2026 08:55
    Re: #10
    Juice's trust never actually fell.
They bounced right back after all the original members left.
There were just a lot of members with health issues.
Their current standing is the fair one.
    50AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:17
    Re: #10
Speaking from experience — I gave up on Juice in 2022, switched to Angerme, then went back to Juice in 2024. From that, I'd say the fatal flaw with today's Angerme is having no absolute center. There's no upside left.
    13AnonymousAug 31, 2026 08:25
It's Juice that'll be grinding through regional livehouses next year.
Angerme is protected by their agency, so hall tours are guaranteed forever.
    16AnonymousAug 31, 2026 08:33
    Re: #13
Protected by the agency and they still don't get invited to the TV Asahi festival, lol ("Ankasu" — a mocking nickname for Angerme). Ocha Norma's going in their place.
    27AnonymousAug 31, 2026 08:58
Juice is amazing right now because they've got Danbara and Inoue, but
once those two are gone, there's a good chance they'll fall below an Angerme that's lost Take, Kamiko, Rikako, and Kawamura.
That's how big the gap is between Reiru and everyone else.
    31AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:01
    Re: #27
Even Reiru wasn't at top speed right away.
Still, it's a lineup you can hold out hope for.
    32AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:01
    Re: #27
Arisawa alone could beat all of today's Angerme combined.
    34AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:02
    Re: #27
    JJ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Angerme

    would just become

    JJ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Angerme

    That's all that'd change.
And honestly, Angerme's members in their 20s will probably quit before Danbara and Inoue do anyway, so by the time those two leave, it won't even matter.
    35AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:03
They banked on the spring tour rebuilding trust and bumped up total venue capacity for autumn — and now that bigger capacity is just being used as the excuse for why seats aren't filling. Up-Front's probably reeling too.
    38AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:05
    Re: #35
Not the agency, not the members, not the fans — nobody has any idea how to turn this around or get people interested again. That's where things stand.
    39AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:07
At first I was curious how things would go after Kamiko left — wondering if the group would rise to the occasion and really level up.
    46AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:12
    Re: #39
Watching Vanilla, you can feel that even the people who thought that back in spring have given up by autumn.
    40AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:07
Angerme fans are the ones most worried.
There was a time they had enough momentum to overtake Momusu for the top spot, but…
it really does come down to members and songs.
    44AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:09
    Re: #40
The singing itself is reasonably solid, but the moment Kamiko left, the charm of the vocal trade-offs vanished completely.
    42AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:09
    It's really something.
No growth from the members, ticket sales struggling, and now they've even given up on new songs and gone back to Smileage-era stuff.
    51AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:22
    Re: #42
Maybe someone asked to go all out on Smileage songs before graduating.
It's hard to fit that kind of setlist into a regular tour.
    45AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:10
The tour was booked at such an ambitious scale that I figured there'd be a new member or a graduation announcement.
Never imagined they'd just… have no plan at all.
    47AnonymousAug 31, 2026 09:14
    Re: #45
They need to at least keep up appearances.
If the scale shrinks, even the otaku who are still around will gradually start drifting away.
I bet the Budokan show is happening for that reason alone.
    140AnonymousAug 31, 2026 10:43
Only half-filling NHK Osaka is pretty shocking on its own, but for the haters, the real test is Fukuoka and Forest Hall.
    151AnonymousAug 31, 2026 10:51
Isn't it a lost opportunity if they leave tickets unsold and the venue ends up being a livehouse?
    157AnonymousAug 31, 2026 10:53
Well, give it another five years or so — once Goto and Nagano become the core, they'll probably bounce back.
You've got to take the long view.
    162AnonymousAug 31, 2026 10:57
    Re: #157
So this keeps going like this for another five years…?
    158AnonymousAug 31, 2026 10:53
    Re: #155
Pretty sure you're the one who's been bashing Juice, lol
    165AnonymousAug 31, 2026 10:59
    Re: #158
Juice has been an elite squad since the original lineup, so there's never been a reason to bash them, then or now. Why are you so touchy about who supposedly bashed whom and when?
    172AnonymousAug 31, 2026 11:10
Isn't today's Angerme basically like a version of Juice with Danbara, Inoue, Kudo, Matsunaga, Arisawa, Irie, Ebata, Ishiyama, Endo, Kawashima, and Hayashi all gone?

    Of course nobody's interested.
    183AnonymousAug 31, 2026 11:37
Calling it "empty" over a single open seat is crazy, but calling it "selling well" when only half the seats are filled is just as crazy.

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

It’s worth noting that the claims in this thread are based on individual attendees’ impressions and visual estimates of how full the seats looked, not on officially released attendance or sales figures. Just as the claim that NHK Osaka was “only half full” was met with the counterargument that “tickets only went on sale the day before, so it’s premature to judge,” some feel it’s too hasty to conclude anything about the tour’s overall popularity from conditions right before a single show. The thread also repeatedly brought up comparisons with Juice=Juice; this likely reflects the board’s characteristic rivalry, stemming from the fact that both groups are active around the same period within Hello! Project and share part of their fan base. The thread title’s theory — that fans who kept coming out of sentimental attachment have finally given up as of spring — is ultimately just one poster’s personal speculation, and no concrete figures backing up that theory were presented in the thread.
