How many Burger King Whoppers can you eat? 5ch says: “Three is a lock!”

From our other sites

The story

In a thread on 5ch’s News VIP board, the regular mascot character “Pomii” asked fellow posters how many Whopper-sized Burger King burgers they could eat in one sitting, and the answers were all over the map. Some said “two gets me to 60-70% full, so three is doable,” while others said “three was my limit” — showing just how much it comes down to the individual. For posters without a nearby Burger King who didn’t know how big a Whopper actually is, others stepped in to explain it as “about the size of a Big Mac.” Partway through, the thread drifted into fries and drink add-ons, the food court at Apita (a Japanese supermarket chain), shampoo, and oden fillings.

(っ´ω`c) By the time I finished my second one I was only about 60-70% full, so three is definitely doable! Maybe even four if I push it?
2AnonymousOct 20, 2026 13:22
(´・ω・`) Three was my limit.

Same with McDonald's — it hits your stomach later, not right away.

Re: #9
(っ´ω`c) Yeah, it's heavy! Especially once you throw in fries and a drink!
13AnonymousOct 20, 2026 13:28
I stopped ordering soda with my combo meals.
Tea is gentler on the body.

15AnonymousOct 20, 2026 13:30
There's no Burger King near me so I have no idea how big a Whopper actually is, nya~
19AnonymousOct 20, 2026 13:31
Re: #15
I picture it as about the size of a Big Mac from McDonald's.

Re: #15
(っ´ω`c) It's like, super thick and huge.
16AnonymousOct 20, 2026 13:30
The other day I ate an Avocado Whopper Jr. plus a regular Whopper in-store and still felt like I had room, so I think I could've managed a bit more.

(っ´ω`c) Avocado sounds tasty, I wanna try it! Should I go ahead and eat the mushroom one too!?

41AnonymousOct 20, 2026 13:42
I've only ever ordered one, but I'd guess two.

Re: #41
(っ´ω`c) Yeah, that sounds about right. You kinda want to stop at one anyway — price-wise too.
66AnonymousOct 20, 2026 14:17
This pisses me off.
It's positioned too high, no way to reach it.
I keep getting stuck with it left like this, over and over.

Don't go posting weird stuff.

80AnonymousOct 20, 2026 14:22
Re: #77
What's Apita?
81AnonymousOct 20, 2026 14:23
It's a supermarket, kind of like an AEON Mall.
84AnonymousOct 20, 2026 14:25
Re: #81
(っ´ω`c) Seriously? Guess I'll go then.
85AnonymousOct 20, 2026 14:25
Re: #81
Is there anything good there?
89AnonymousOct 20, 2026 14:26
Apita has a food court inside too.
It's right by the station, so on weekends it's packed with middle and high schoolers.
96AnonymousOct 20, 2026 14:29
Re: #89
Seems like it'd have something like Hanamaru Udon (a udon chain).
98AnonymousOct 20, 2026 14:30
Re: #89
(っ´ω`c) Nice, so it's kind of like a Jusco (an old brand name for AEON stores)?
112AnonymousOct 20, 2026 14:34
Tried Moist Diane shampoo again after a while and it's seriously itchy 😞
I figured it was just my scalp acting up before, but now I'm sure it's the shampoo's fault.

Background and talking points

Burger King’s “Whopper” is often described as one size up from the Big Mac, and even a single one is considered quite filling on its own. On VIP, this kind of self-reported “how many of this big food item can you eat in one sitting” bragging thread is a classic format, and this one was no exception — no scientific data or official size/calorie figures were cited, with posters splitting into a “two to three is fine” camp and a “one is plenty” camp based purely on gut feeling. Some posters don’t have a store nearby and don’t know the Whopper’s actual size, which led to others explaining it using the Big Mac as a reference point. Toward the end, the conversation drifted into shampoo, the food court at Apita, and oden ingredients — a typical tangent for a VIP chat thread — with the actual Whopper discussion concentrated in the first half. Readers should keep in mind that the headline’s “how many can you eat” is a tally of posters’ self-reported guesses, not a measured result.
