It processes 2 instructions per clock.
CPUs have had this forever.
It's basically brute-forcing onto GPUs something that used to combine branch prediction with otherwise-idle execution units on CPUs.
In reality, I/O bottlenecks mean it won't actually double the output.

Right now a budget-brand RX 9070 XT (like a Kuroshiko or Challenger card) alone runs about ¥120,000-140,000.
Add the CPU, memory, and storage and you're easily past ¥200,000, lol.
If they sold this thing for ¥150,000 they wouldn't just be taking a loss — that's on a whole other level.

That depends on the release year.
Once next-gen Radeon chips ship, prices naturally drop — and it can't go into a console until it does, so it's basically waiting on that.
That's also why the Switch 2 took so long to arrive: they were waiting for the chip to become last-gen and cheap.
Bottom line, console hardware is fated to only ship once its chip is already outdated.

That's a closed, NVIDIA-only technology.
Multi-frame generation is probably off the table too.
Even the PS5 Pro's PSSR2 didn't adopt the older frame-generation tech.
