The story

On November 8, Hello! Project’s 11-member idol group Juice=Juice took part in the kick-in ceremony before the J1 League match between Kobe and Urawa at MUFG National Stadium. Daily Sports stirred up buzz with a headline built around a fan’s reaction: “They’re 15!? So grown-up looking!” The 5ch thread spawned by the article ranged widely — from member-by-member looks and singing to an old story about a different idol who crashed another club’s event uninvited. Praise dominated, but it wasn’t unanimous: some posters picked apart the pitch of the singing, while others joked about how little connection the members actually have to Kobe.

If people were vehicles, Machida'd def be a car
4AnonymousNov 8, 2026 14:42
So they only perform for the people sitting on Kobe's side?
5AnonymousNov 8, 2026 14:43
Well, it's a job, can't really blame them
Though I doubt they've got the nerve of Tachibana Yurika — she wasn't even picked for the lineup at the Cerezo Osaka × Idoling!!! collab event, but she stormed the pitch in an FC Tokyo uniform anyway lol
6AnonymousNov 8, 2026 14:44
Basically just the main stand
When Goto Maki did her National Stadium appearance (FC Tokyo match), she walked all the way from the main stand through the home end and nearly to the back stand
But I think that's tough to pull off with a whole group

Ishiyama really is gorgeous, huh
9AnonymousNov 8, 2026 15:01
None of them are even from Kobe though
10AnonymousNov 8, 2026 15:09
Well, Kobe's basically a satellite city of Osaka and Kyoto anyway

[Sad news] Kudo Yua flubbed the opening of "More-mi Amore" again at the National Stadium 💢 ("盛れ" is slang for "looking extra good today," the basis of her nickname "More-mi")

The call-and-response coming in late kind of shows how huge the place is

Why'd everyone go with 12?

12's the supporters' number

Re: #13
A lot of clubs leave No. 12 unused as a nod to supporters (the "12th man")
Though Urawa doesn't retire any numbers, and Tosu's retired number isn't 12 — it's 17
14AnonymousNov 8, 2026 15:11
Kobe's basically Osaka at this point, lol

Time for Mr. Kogata, who's also a certified referee, to step in

For Up-Front, Kashima (i.e. Mr. Kogata) was the one they wanted to avoid even more than Urawa's boos

Background and talking points

Juice=Juice is an 11-member idol group under Hello! Project, and booking idols for pre-match ceremonies is a regular J.League move aimed at growing a club’s fanbase and generating buzz. The “They’re 15!? So grown-up looking!” line Daily Sports led with is a classic entertainment-news hook, playing up the gap between a young member’s age and her mature appearance. In the thread, posts critiquing clips of the members’ singing gained traction, and posters also brought up a well-known fan anecdote about a different idol who once crashed another club’s pitch wearing an unauthorized uniform. The headline’s claim that “everyone’s cute” drew pushback too, with warm praise and sharper criticism coexisting throughout the discussion. Note that the ages, hometowns, and similar details mentioned in the article and thread come from the idols’ public profiles — they aren’t new information revealed in the thread.
