Seriously, make a Switch 2 version already.
Nobody could've predicted things would get this bad back when development started.
Nintendo basically always cuts the previous generation once a new console launches.
Otherwise what's even the point of releasing a new console? Normally the first party drives adoption, and that's what draws third parties in, right?
PlayStation leaves it all to third parties, so once the exclusives dry up… yeah. And even those third parties' new releases haven't been selling well lately, though digital sale downloads seem to do okay.
Doesn't seem like Switch games are going away entirely.
If that were the case they wouldn't have specifically written "Switch 2," so that's not it.
I thought Fate/EXTRA was Switch 2 exclusive, so I was a little surprised it's coming to Switch too
Maybe publishers aren't cutting Switch yet — or can't afford to, sales-wise.
There'll probably still be plenty of games releasing on the original Switch as normal.
But of course that could never happen with Nintendo's wonderful hardware.
Users or publishers who still haven't bought a Switch 2 and are clinging to the original — I guess they just don't deserve Nintendo.

What's showing up in Famitsu's charts is probably just existing owners buying replacement units, not people with any intention of moving to the Switch 2.
