  • Singer Kohmi Hirose Sparks 5ch Buzz Over Suspicions She Never Actually Showed Up to Juice=Juice’s Release Event

Singer Kohmi Hirose’s post about Juice=Juice’s release event in Ikebukuro sparked suspicion on 5ch’s Hello! Project board that she may not actually have been there in person. Some pointed out the story had already been picked up by web news outlets, fueling speculation that she simply jumped on the bandwagon after seeing the buzz on X (formerly Twitter). Thread posters piled up circumstantial evidence — “if she’d really been there, she’d have greeted the members backstage or mentioned it on her blog” — but with no clear explanation from Hirose herself, the truth remains unconfirmed.

Speaking of postponements, there's this too:
"3600 Seconds (1/15, Yokohama Arena)" → postponed and rolled into the 13th anniversary concert
"13th Anniversary Concert (5/16, Makuhari Messe)" → postponed to fall
    Dates/venue still TBD ← we're here now

With this many postponements and cancellations, there's no way this shambles of a management team is handling ticket transfers and refunds smoothly lol

Because Kohmi-chan's voice is on the actual track.
    7AnonymousSep 2, 2026 08:00
So she really wasn't there after all, huh.
Wait, but if she was standing near whoever shot that video, she'd have had to be standing there well before the event even started — and if Kohmi Hirose had really been standing around that whole time, surely even the wota (fans) would've noticed and it'd be a much bigger story.
I was in the free standing area too, for what it's worth.

    14AnonymousSep 2, 2026 08:36
Yeah, if she'd genuinely been there, she'd have said hi to the members backstage and written about it on her blog.
The fact that it's just an "I spotted her on X" situation kind of says it all.
    15AnonymousSep 2, 2026 08:49
The Juice members' storytelling game is weak.
Stuff like this just doesn't get any buzz or eyeballs.
They don't need to force laughs, but you'd think they could at least come prepared with a decent little blooper story.
    16AnonymousSep 2, 2026 08:51
It'd help if Arisawa were the one dropping the wild stories, but this time they probably built the segment around pushing Kudo, so that made it tough.

So who does that voice that carries all the way to the back belong to then, lol

Background and Key Points of This Story

Juice=Juice is an idol group under Hello! Project, and the thread behind this article centers on the group’s release event in Ikebukuro. After singer Kohmi Hirose posted about the event, speculation spread on X that she hadn’t actually been there in person, with replies noting the story had already been picked up by web news outlets. Opinions in the thread split over whether she’d genuinely been mistaken for someone else or was simply jumping on the bandwagon — attendees offered circumstantial evidence like “if she were really there, she’d have greeted members backstage or mentioned it on her blog,” but no definitive statement from Hirose herself has surfaced. It’s worth noting for readers that the claims on 5ch are speculation based on circumstantial evidence alone, not an official comment from Hirose — an easy point to misread.

※This article is excerpted and summarized from the 5ch (Hello! Project board) thread “[Sad News] Kohmi Hirose didn’t actually go to Juice=Juice’s Ikebukuro release event — “Saw it blowing up on X and thought, ‘wouldn’t it be fun to jump in here…’”“

  • ANGERME Snubbed for Fall Budokan Show — 5ch: “No Way Today’s ANGERME Fills Budokan”

In the venue announcement for Hello! Project’s big fall shows, Juice=Juice, Tsubaki Factory, and BEYOOOOONDS were chosen for Nippon Budokan, while ANGERME was relegated to the PIA Arena slot. ANGERME just held a solo Budokan show this past spring, but on 5ch there were repeated claims that turnout back then was weak, with comments like “today’s ANGERME can’t fill Budokan” standing out. The discussion spread from whether the venue size made sense to the impact of Haruka Hirayama and Hana Goto leaving the group.

Spring's Budokan show only pulled 4,000 people with 1,000 for the nationwide live viewing — unless the agency's lost its mind, they're not doing it again.

As a "Hallo-oji" (an older male Hello!Project fan) who's always favored ANGERME within the group, I'm sharing my painful thoughts.

    – It really wasn't full at all
    – The arena seats were sparse
    – About the same turnout as Up Up Girls (Kari)'s Budokan show
    – It lacked star power
    – The setlist/structure was terrible
    – It's a rough team when Tamenaga is batting cleanup

    21AnonymousSep 1, 2026 17:21
After that 4,000-person turnout last time, even the crappy agency probably realized Budokan is a stretch for ANGERME now. They just have to build the fanbase back up little by little.

At this rate, a suitably-sized venue for them feels like Pacifico Yokohama at best.
    46AnonymousSep 1, 2026 17:35
    Re: #39
Pacifico would just barely fill up, but the sense of decline from "dropping down to Pacifico" would disappoint the casual fans ("DD," fans who like multiple members/groups) even more and drive them away, so it's questionable whether it'd actually fill.

The fact that they fell from grace points to problems with the group's setup — it's not like the two of them did anything wrong.

Background and Key Points of This Topic

Venues for Hello!Project’s major shows are said to be booked by the agency under an artist’s name based on projected ticket demand, and commenters on the thread noted that “Budokan is booked under the artist’s name — it’s not some lottery between groups.” ANGERME has gone through the departures of core members Haruka Hirayama and Hana Goto, and posters cited the turnout at this spring’s Budokan show (reportedly around 4,000) and live-viewing audience (reportedly around 1,000) as evidence that turnout for the group’s next big show would likely be tough. However, these figures come from hearsay within the thread, not an official tally released by the agency or the group, which readers should be careful not to mistake for confirmed data. The discussion expanded to include Pacifico Yokohama as a possible venue, but all of this remains fan speculation rather than confirmed information.

※This article is excerpted and summarized from the 5ch (Hello!Project) thread “ANGERME, for real this time, looks like they missed out on the big fall venue (Budokan) lolololololol.”

  • Does Casual Contact Between an Idol and a Fan Deserve an Instant Red Card? 5ch Weighs In

In Hello! Project, when a member’s romance or a “personal connection with a fan” comes to light, it often leads to severe punishment — and a debate broke out on 5ch’s Hello! Project board over whether that standard is really fair. It started with the question, “Wouldn’t a warning be enough?”, which drew a wave of responses arguing that such leniency would undermine the fairness of fan services. The discussion centered on two main points: the view that favoring one particular fan through an “otaku connection” (giving a single fan special treatment) should be judged more harshly than romance itself, and the observation that the severity of punishment varies widely between agencies and groups.

For Tsubaki Factory I only followed them up through Asakura's graduation.
I've never once seen the "Hinaazu" (a member's fan nickname) live.

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

Hello! Project is known for its strict punishment policy on romance and dating compared with other talent agencies, and this discussion takes that as its starting point. The ℃-ute member scandal from before the group’s disbandment, the NGT48 incident, and the reports of Tsubaki Factory members visiting a bar that came up in the thread are all real events that were actually reported at the time — not fabrications. The debate split roughly into two main points. One is where to draw the line between an ordinary relationship (simply “having a boyfriend”) and an “otaku connection” — giving one particular fan special treatment. The other is a difference in perspective between those focused on how such favoritism undermines the fairness of paid perks and fan services, and those focused on the severity of the punishment itself (instant dismissal versus a warning). One point readers might easily get wrong is the idea that “Hello! Project is uniformly strict” — commenters in the thread themselves pointed out that the actual severity of punishment varies by group and by individual, so the policy isn’t applied completely uniformly.

It’s been revealed that Juice=Juice’s Ebata Hisaki will appear as a member of the “Strongest Idol Corps” on TV Asahi’s Sandwichman’s World Shock-Video Corp!, airing September 9. Reactions were mostly positive about Ebata’s and Juice=Juice’s growing TV presence, though some pointed out that the gap in media exposure between group members is widening.

See? Told you it'd turn out exactly like I said.

    Background and Key Points

Juice=Juice has increasingly been landing variety-show appearances in recent years, with Ebata Hisaki at the center of that trend, and this appearance on Sandwichman’s World Shock-Video Corp! is an extension of it. Beyond the official announcement, the thread doesn’t have further details on exactly how the show plans to use Ebata as part of the “Strongest Idol Corps.” Opinions in the thread were split between those welcoming Ebata’s rising individual profile and those concerned about the widening gap in media exposure among group members — posts #108 and #123 pointed out that some members haven’t even been picked for lineups like Oha Suta. It’s also worth noting that the costume-photo comparisons come from shots featuring other groups, not something that reflects Ebata’s own creative input.

*This article is compiled and summarized from the 5ch (Hello! Project) thread “Juice=Juice’s Ebata Hisaki Confirmed to Appear as Part of the Strongest Idol Corps on TV Asahi’s Sandwichman’s World Shock-Video Corp!, Airing September 9!!!!!!!!!!!.”

Lmao, the 'octopus' oshi and the member-color bit

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

Kohmi Hirose is a songwriter known for winter-themed hits like “Romance no Kamisama” and “Fuyu no Inazuma,” and the thread’s calls for her to “write us a winter song” clearly stem from this track record. Opinions split between praise for the talk-session collaboration itself and frustration with a production setup that hasn’t stretched to making a proper music video. Some were irritated that such an elaborate special project could be arranged while no official music video has materialized, while others simply welcomed the YouTube collaboration, calling it a sign of “making it into the A-list entertainment world.” It’s also worth noting that this kind of Hello! Project-related content is usually produced under the “Haro Lab” banner on the official channel, so the fact that this one ran on Kohmi Hirose’s own channel — since she’s the one who provided the song — was itself part of why it drew attention. The nicknames “Ocha” and “Ocha-noma” used in the thread refer to specific members, but who exactly they refer to can’t be pinned down from the thread context alone.

  • Morning Musume. Leader Miki Nonaka to Join Every Fall Tour Date, With Care for Her Bad Back

An official announcement revealed that Miki Nonaka, leader of Morning Musume.’26, will join every date of the fall tour after consulting with doctors — though she’ll sit out certain songs to protect her back. The statement also notes her lineup of performances could change depending on how she’s doing. On 5ch’s live discussion threads, reactions were split: some fans hoped she wouldn’t push herself too hard, while others fired off harsher takes like “isn’t it time she just announced her graduation,” alongside comments about how demanding the choreography is and references to past members whose conditions worsened from performing.

After consulting further with doctors, we will continue to take full care regarding

    28AnonymousSep 1, 2026 18:12
Going by how it was with Risa Irie in spring 2025, she probably only performs in about 6 songs, so if Nonaka fans are heading to the fall tour, they should probably go in thinking "I'll be happy just confirming my oshi is alive"
    31AnonymousSep 1, 2026 18:12

    52AnonymousSep 1, 2026 18:32
With new members in the mix too, there'll probably be more songs with lighter choreography
    56AnonymousSep 1, 2026 18:34
In case Nonaka suddenly has to sit out, they'll need to learn two versions of every song she's in
If 18th gen burns out, it's on Nonaka
    66AnonymousSep 1, 2026 18:40
    Re: #56
She's barely performing anyway, so that's not really gonna happen

Background and Key Points of the Discussion

Miki Nonaka will take part in the tour with a trimmed-down song list because of her back condition, but this kind of arrangement — “joining every show while sitting out select songs” — has precedent within Hello! Project, and commenters point to Risa Irie’s spring 2025 tour (where her performances were cut to around six songs) as a comparison. It’s easy to miss but worth noting that this decision came after consulting doctors, and the official statement explicitly says the details could change depending on her condition. The thread’s split opinions came down to a conflict between fans who supported her performing despite the risk and those who felt she should announce graduation if the symptoms persist, with how much the choreography can realistically be scaled back also becoming a point of debate. It’s also worth noting that neither the thread nor the official announcement has specified an exact diagnosis or details of her recovery, so a lot of the commentary is speculation.

    Such a weird schedule
They probably never actually planned a tour
Feels like this got thrown together in a hurry because Angerme's Budokan plans looked shaky

Background and Key Points of Discussion

The newly announced ‘IT’S SHOOOOOWTIME BUDOOOOOKAN!’ is a solo concert at the Nippon Budokan, with tickets priced at the special fan-club rate of ¥9,000 and a charge for ages 4 and up — the same pricing structure as a typical Hello! Project show. The simultaneously announced ‘ENCOOOOORE!’ shows are standalone performances (not a tour) at Fuchu no Mori Art Theater Dream Hall (capacity roughly 2,027, far smaller than Budokan’s roughly 10,000) and NHK Osaka Hall, and the fact that this isn’t structured as a tour was itself a topic of discussion in the thread. The talk in the thread about graduation timing for members like Hirai and Oda, and about the ages of the Seasonings members, is all fan speculation rather than anything officially announced — a point readers could easily mistake for confirmed information. The thread’s discussion also centered on the perception that this was a last-minute decision, given that the Budokan show overlaps closely with Juice=Juice and Tsubaki Factory dates, and that up until just before the announcement, it had been said there would be no fall tour.

If a bike comes flying into the crosswalk at cycling speed, the car can't stop in time — this is basically the cyclist riding into getting hit

I live out in the countryside, but apparently starting today residential streets are getting a 30km/h speed limit
Is it the same where you guys live?

Classic case where the neck pain shows up days later
    23AnonymousSep 1, 2026 10:52
Did they cross the crosswalk on the bike without stopping or even looking either way?
There are a lot of cyclists like that
    24AnonymousSep 1, 2026 10:52
On a 40km/h road, a car can't stop in time for an unsignaled crosswalk
It's just common sense that pedestrians and cyclists stop before crossing
    26AnonymousSep 1, 2026 10:53
"Bicycles can't ride on the sidewalk" → wrong
"Bicycles ride on the road as a rule, but can use the sidewalk if it's judged dangerous" → correct
Well, obviously — telling cyclists to force their way into traffic even when there's a hazard would be insane
    28AnonymousSep 1, 2026 10:53
I actually went and checked the rules for how bikes should turn right and cross at crosswalks
If this is accurate, doesn't that mean the car isn't at fault here?
    29AnonymousSep 1, 2026 10:54
You do sometimes see bikes sitting in the right-turn lane
    That's dangerous
    30AnonymousSep 1, 2026 10:55
By the way, bicycles aren't supposed to ride through a crosswalk — you're required to walk it while pushing the bike, otherwise it's a violation
If there's a marked bike lane through it, riding is fine
This is actually something the police watch for
    31AnonymousSep 1, 2026 10:56
Two weeks to heal is a minor injury, so that's a relief
    32AnonymousSep 1, 2026 10:57
    > Came riding up on the bike and rode straight across the unsignaled crosswalk
This is basically riding straight into the car
    33AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:01
They're not a pedestrian, so the car isn't obligated to stop
    34AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:01
Bicycles aren't pedestrians, so cars on the road have no duty to stop for them
Whoever's more at fault just ends up with the bigger share of blame
    35AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:03
They're saying the car blew through without stopping, so the car bears most of the fault
    61AnonymousSep 1, 2026 12:19
    Re: #35
That's just written to sound convenient for them
If the car hit them while they were crossing exactly as described, this isn't even a "did they stop" situation anymore
    36AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:03
A driver this reckless shouldn't get off the hook!
Let's get this on a tabloid talk show
    37AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:05
Was there even a stop sign on the car's side?
    41AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:12

    Pistol-san lives in Ooimachi
    44AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:21
For Chii-chan, they're basically like a father figure who helped raise her, so she must be relieved
    Glad they're okay
    45AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:23
No way, is that a nod to Takehara Pistol? ( ̄▽-) (a real singer-songwriter whose name is a pun on "Pistol")
    46AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:25
Cyclists like this blow through stops too, so they're a menace to pedestrians as well
    47AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:26
Guess forcing bikes onto the road is the only option after all
    48AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:34
Just ticket bikes on the spot for riding on the sidewalk
    49AnonymousSep 1, 2026 11:40
Not saying cyclists have to push their bike across the crosswalk, but at least stop and check both ways before crossing — that's all drivers are asking
    56AnonymousSep 1, 2026 12:11
I mostly get around by car, but if it's true the driver really didn't stop, then the car's in the wrong
Sure, a bike coming in at real speed is also a violation, and there's an argument the driver couldn't have reacted in time — but the moment the car didn't stop, it has no excuse
    63AnonymousSep 1, 2026 12:21
    Re: #56
    You're not using your imagination
Once a bike shoots into the crosswalk at riding speed, the car can't stop anymore
And if the car really could've stopped, the bike could've stopped too

Background and Key Points of the Debate

Under Article 38 of Japan’s Road Traffic Act, at an unsignaled intersection (crosswalk), cars are required to stop when a pedestrian or someone walking a bicycle is attempting to cross. However, a cyclist who crosses while still riding is classified as a “light vehicle,” so whether that stopping duty applies depends on the situation and is open to interpretation. That legal gray area is exactly why this thread split between voices blaming the driver and voices pointing to the cyclist’s carelessness. It’s also worth noting that the details of the accident come from social media posts by the person involved and bystanders, not from an official police investigation or a finalized determination of fault. The reported two-week recovery suggests the injuries were relatively minor and not life-threatening.

  • Hello! Project Tenure Rankings: Akari Uemura Takes No. 1 with 4,127 Days — 5ch Notes ‘Count Includes Day One’

A post on 5ch’s Hello! Project board announced a feature on Fuji TV’s “Mezamashi TV” featuring Juice=Juice, along with news that a comment video for the August 31 broadcast of CDTV Live! Live! had arrived. Also posted alongside it was a ranking of tenure days across all of Hello! Project, with Akari Uemura taking the top spot at 4,127 days, followed by Reru Dangahara and Tomoko Kanazawa. The ranking sparked a correction about the counting method — that “tenure days are counted including day one” — once again showing how the displayed number can shift depending on how you count.

    Re: #4
Your math is always off by one day.
Tenure days are calculated by including day one.
Elapsed days are calculated by excluding day one.

If you join on Jan 1 and quit on Jan 3, your tenure is 3 days.
If you join on Jan 1 and quit that same day, your tenure is 1 day.
If you exclude day one, both of these end up one day short.

    Background and Discussion Points

Among Hello! Project fans, tenure-day rankings are a recurring staple, and because the number shifts by a day depending on whether day one is “included” or “excluded,” it’s become a running joke that someone points out the counting method every time the list gets posted. This time was no exception — a textbook exchange with no real conflict or controversy. Akari Uemura topping the list at 4,127 days highlights a defining trait of Juice=Juice: a group with many long-tenured members. One point readers can easily misread is that this kind of ranking isn’t “total cumulative days including past departures and graduations,” but rather consecutive days in a member’s current group — so for members who’ve held multiple positions or transferred between groups, the number can look very different depending on how it’s counted. The original thread also contained insults aimed at specific posters and some off-color jokes, but since those had nothing to do with the main topic — the show announcement and the ranking — they’ve been left out of this article.

  • Misaki Ebata: “I Can’t Help Touching Yuina Sugiyama Whenever We Meet”

Answers from Hello! Project members to the official “Hello! Q&A” feature’s question “Which member have you gotten closer to recently?” became a hot topic on 5channel’s Hello! Pro board. Ruru Danbara named Ruri Hiromoto, while Misaki Ebata picked BEYOOOOONDS’ Yuina Sugiyama, commenting, “Whenever we meet, I just can’t help touching her.” Posters were also surprised that the nickname in Momo Kitahara’s answer was hard to connect to her real name, and comments kept coming in expressing surprise at pairings that crossed group lines.

    Background and Talking Points

“Hello! Q&A” is a recurring feature on the official Hello! Project blog in which members answer a shared question in their own words. This time’s theme, “which member have you grown closer to recently,” tends to draw plenty of reactions every time, since it’s a chance to see how friendships shift through concerts and unit activities. In the thread, names from multiple groups came up — Ruru Danbara, BEYOOOOONDS, Juice=Juice, and more — with posters expressing surprise at pairings that crossed group lines and reminiscing about past unit lineups. At the same time, some comments veered into remarks about members’ looks or crude teasing. This article focuses on excerpts related to the members’ actual answers and their friendships.
