  • ‘Travis Japan Effect’ Draws 10,000 Fans to J2 Akita Match, Coach Ken Yoshida: ‘We Have the Fewest Soccer Players of Any Prefecture’

In a match on the 26th between J2’s Blaublitz Akita and Albirex Niigata that ended 2-2, 10,847 fans turned out at the home Soyu Stadium — the second-highest attendance in club history. The surge is believed to stem from a combination of the “rice jersey” giveaway to the first 6,000 fans and a promotional boost from idol group Travis Japan, with social media dubbing it the “Travis Japan effect.” Coach Ken Yoshida’s comment that “Akita Prefecture has the smallest soccer-playing population in Japan” also struck a chord. On the 5channel sports/entertainment news board, opinions were split on whether this attendance boost reflects a genuine rise in soccer’s popularity or is just a temporary bump from idol fandom.

On the 26th, J2’s Blaublitz Akita faced Albirex Niigata in Matchday 8 of the J2 League, playing to a 2-2 draw.

10,847 fans packed the home Soyu Stadium — the second-largest crowd in club history — making for a match that energized Akita soccer both on and off the pitch.

Akita fell behind in the 15th minute to a goal from Mateus Moraes, but Ryoya Iizumi equalized in the 45th minute. Ryohei Oishi then put Akita ahead with a clever counterattack finish in the 69th minute, only for Yuri Castilho to level it again in the 90th minute — after a hard-fought battle, the two sides split the points with high-flying Niigata.

The governor who led the prefecture for so long, and his ancestors, the Satake clan —

In the Kamakura era, they dithered over whether to side with the Minamoto or the Taira and ended up sitting on the fence.
Result: Minamoto no Yoritomo attacked them, they surrendered without much of a fight, and lost their post as shugo (military governor) of Hitachi Province.

In the Sengoku era, they dithered again over whether to side with the Eastern or Western army and sat on the fence once more.
Result: they were ordered to relocate — and downgrade — from Hitachi Province, their base since the Heian era, to Akita.

Maybe generations of following such an indecisive, backward-looking clan is exactly why the prefecture ended up with such a backward-looking mentality.

Right, Blaublitz Akita's economic ripple effect is 7 billion yen, so the stadium construction cost would pay for itself in about 2 years.

By comparison, the Happinets' (the local basketball team) economic ripple effect is only around 2 to 2.5 billion yen.

Even ignoring substitution effects, a 32.5 billion yen new arena wouldn't pay for itself even in 10 years.

Can the "tax league" crowd not even do that basic math?

Background and Key Points of This Story

J2’s average attendance this season is around 8,800, while Blaublitz Akita’s typical average sits at just 4,000-5,000. The backdrop is a structural issue: Akita has the smallest soccer-playing population of any prefecture in Japan, which is the context behind Coach Ken Yoshida’s comment. This match’s attendance of over 10,000 appears to be the result of a combination of the “rice jersey” giveaway to the first 6,000 fans and the buzz generated by Travis Japan’s promotional visit, but whether this translates into a lasting boost in attendance remains uncertain — the thread itself was split on whether it reflects rising interest in soccer or just a one-off idol-fueled bump. It’s also worth noting that the 7-billion-yen economic ripple effect figure comes from an individual post on X quoted by a commenter, not an official announcement from the club or local government, and the comparison with the new arena plan is likewise that same poster’s own estimate rather than a verified statistic.

  • Ippo’s Slap Scene Photo Stirs Up 5ch: ‘You’ve Made Me Angry’

An image of a scene from “Hajime no Ippo” in which protagonist Ippo Makunouchi slaps another character was posted to 5ch’s “Nandemo Jikkyo G” live-commentary board, drawing a wave of reactions. In the scene, Ippo flies into a rage and strikes a delinquent he’d been teaching to box, after learning the young man only wanted boxing skills to get stronger at street fighting. The thread buzzed over Ippo’s famous line “You’ve made me angry” and the fact that the victim lost his memory of the incident and never filed a police report, before spiraling into a broader debate about the series as a whole — changes in the art style over its decades-long run, the story being stuck mid-hiatus in the prison arc, and lingering questions over why Ippo has never won a world title.

Because that would get in the way of Miyata's whole arc. Taking up the mantle Date passed on to him and beating Ricardo to become champion would be a clean ending, sure — but then what happens to Miyata…

    Background and Points of Discussion

“Hajime no Ippo” is a boxing manga that has been running since 1989, already spanning more than three decades. The reactions here mainly split over the evaluation of the artwork, with some arguing it has “gotten worse” or “lost its former energy through oversimplification,” while others countered that it has actually become more technically skilled. Whether the art-style shift that comes with any long-running series counts as decline or evolution is largely a matter of readers’ subjective taste. It’s also true that the series has been on long-term hiatus since entering the prison arc, but the reasons for that and any timeline for its return have not been officially explained by the author or publisher — the thread’s suggestion that “Kodansha is dragging it out” is purely reader speculation, not a confirmed fact. As for Ippo never having won a world title, since the series hasn’t concluded, the honest answer is simply that “it hasn’t been decided yet,” so any definitive judgment on that point would be premature.

Following the September 29 concert in Chiba, a post on 5ch’s Hello! Project board suggested that ANGERME’s song ‘RED LINE’ had suddenly been filmed with the group’s current lineup. RED LINE is considered a signature song from the era when Kamikoryo, Rikako, and Kawamura were members, and fans were curious how it would land with the current lineup now that those members have graduated. While new fans in the thread voiced excitement, one blunt reply to the question ‘Is it really going viral?’ — ‘Only inside an anti’s head’ — showed opinion split over just how much buzz the song is actually generating.

    Re: #70
According to Take, it's apparently going viral.

Background and Key Points of This Topic

‘RED LINE,’ the song at the center of this thread, is considered emblematic of the era when specific members — Kamikoryo, Rikako, and Kawamura — were in ANGERME, and how it would be recreated after their graduations has long been a point of interest for fans. As noted in post 31, ANGERME has continued operating through the S/mileage-era slump and the graduation wave that followed, repeatedly reshaping its lineup along the way, and this sudden filming of a ‘current-member version of RED LINE’ is being read as an extension of that history. At the same time, the claim that the song is ‘going viral’ drew skeptical reactions within the thread, and the article offers no objective confirmation — such as rising view counts or an official announcement — to back it up. The gap between a hyped-up claim and the actual reaction is a pattern that often shows up when fandom-sourced information spreads online.

  • 195kg Comedian Otsuru Himan on Doctor’s Mounjaro Pitch: “Give It to Someone Who Really Needs It”

Mamatart’s Otsuru Himan (35) appeared on Nippon TV’s “Daigo’s Comedian Receipts” on September 28 and revealed that a doctor had suggested he try the weight-loss drug Mounjaro, despite his current weight of 195kg. He said he turned the doctor down, replying, “Please recommend it to someone who really needs it.” On 5ch’s Entertainment/Sports Breaking News+ board, the thread kicked off with skepticism over whether a doctor would really recommend that drug to a severely obese comedian, then branched into medical speculation about why he hasn’t developed diabetes, whether pancreatic strength varies by individual, and concern for the health of other large-bodied comedians.

    September 29, 2026, 7:28 PM

Comedy duo Mamatart’s Otsuru Himan (35) appeared on Nippon TV’s “Daigo’s Comedian Receipts” (Mondays, 11:59 PM), which aired on the 28th. He revealed what a doctor had told him.

The episode, titled “Chubby Comedians’ Grocery Bill Special,” featured three guests with a combined weight of 424kg: Rainbow’s Jumbo Takao, Beni Shoga’s Kumamoto Puroresu, and Mamatart’s Otsuru Himan. About two months before the taping, once they knew they’d be appearing, each of them submitted receipts covering the week they’d eaten the most.

Like Black Mayonnaise's Kosugi (a comedian who had a serious heart scare tied to his weight).

Background and Key Points of This Topic

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist that was approved in Japan as a type 2 diabetes treatment and later had its approved uses expanded to include obesity treatment. In recent years, more non-diabetic people have been using it off-label for cosmetic weight loss through private-pay clinics, and critics say this is making the drug harder for patients who genuinely need it to access. Otsuru Himan’s line, “give it to someone who really needs it,” can be read as a pointed jab at exactly that situation. In the thread, the fact that he hasn’t developed diabetes despite an extreme 195kg body weight sparked medical speculation about individual differences in the pancreas’s insulin-secreting capacity, turning the conversation into something more than just a joke about his size. At the same time, there were comments linking obesity to personal responsibility, along with concern for the health of other large-bodied comedians — the thread mixed humor with real worry about health risks.

  • AI Adoption Saps Programmers’ Motivation to Learn: 5ch Reacts, “Nobody Says ‘I Love Your Code’”

A thread titled “I’m an IT programmer, but AI has killed my motivation” appeared on 5ch’s Newsspeed VIP board. The poster confessed that although they used to love studying technology, AI now does the work for them, and they’ve lost the will to learn. This drew pushback like “If you really loved it, you’d study AI instead,” along with anxious comments about AI’s growing influence over jobs and pricing. The thread split over whether engineers who master AI or those who can code without it will be more in demand going forward, and whether clients choose contractors on price alone.

Or what if they ban you over some crazy political reason?
Once you're cut off, you'll have to code everything yourself again.

Any decent company spreads its AI usage across multiple providers (eight or more isn't unusual) and can fine-tune open-source AI in-house.

    24AnonymousSep 29, 2026 21:21

An image I made with Google's AI

    Background and Points of Debate

The backdrop here is that generative-AI-driven “vibe coding” has begun making its way into real-world work, allowing a decent amount of code to be written just by describing requirements. The thread split over how to evaluate this shift: a pessimistic view that work will dry up for humans if AI can be left to handle it, versus an optimistic view that people who can judge whether AI’s output is good or bad will be needed more than ever. Opinions also diverged on what clients use to choose who they hire — price alone, or quality and track record as well. That said, no objective figures were presented in the thread regarding whether AI-savvy engineers or those who don’t rely on AI have the edge in the job market — it’s worth noting this discussion is based purely on each participant’s personal impressions.

  • ‘Your Deutsche Bahn Delay Joke’ Isn’t Funny Anymore — Sparks Debate on Overseas Forum

Deutsche Bahn (DB)’s chronic delays are a well-worn self-deprecating joke abroad too, but a railway journalist’s blog post arguing “that joke isn’t funny anymore” sparked a debate on the Lemmy community c/europe. While some pointed out that Germany ranks dead last among major countries for punctuality, and commuters shared their own experiences of frequent delays, a persistent counterargument held that “cars and planes are late too, so why single out trains?” The discussion also touched on a separate glitch in which DB’s official website was temporarily blocking access from Linux users, highlighting frustration that goes beyond a simple running joke.

This just reads like an overlong Facebook rant… I was hoping for actual data, like delay rates per hour. That's the kind of thing that would back up the blogger's complaint and might actually change people's minds.
    4Anonymous2026-09-28 20:00
I commute by train in Austria, and delays only happen with trains coming from Germany. I have a ticket valid on any train, so it occasionally works in my favor — like when an ICE rolls onto the platform two hours late and it just happens to line up with when I get off work.

This guy is a German who's lived in Germany a long time, and he campaigns for EU-wide rail policy.
    6Anonymous2026-09-29 06:04
I've been using DB for the past seven years, and delays over two hours I can count on one hand. But 30-minute to one-hour delays are genuinely common — it happens on about half my trips. For anything important, I make sure to travel the day before and stay overnight. The worst was a five-hour delay, caused by a signal failure between Frankfurt and Cologne.
    7Anonymous2026-09-29 07:07
    Re: #6
Then again, cars get delayed by traffic jams way more often than that… yet nobody complains about that.

    10Anonymous2026-09-29 06:47
There's a famous line about the nature of people who complain about German trains:

'Passengers never complain about a train that doesn't exist, because that train simply isn't there.'

Solution: just run fewer trains (joke)
    37Anonymous2026-09-29 10:11
    Re: #10
I wish that were just a joke, but they're actually doing it for real. That's exactly why so much rail infrastructure was lost through the '80s and '90s.
    11Anonymous2026-09-29 03:40
Most of the time it's fine, but you can't rely on it. If the price were a third of what it is now — or at least half — I think people would complain less, since the service would actually match the price.

Sorry, but I honestly find it hard to believe a site would block requests just because the browser/client headers — `sec-ch-ua-platform` or `user-agent` — contain "linux" or don't contain "windows"… Also, I'm browsing the site just fine using Firefox and Chrome on a Linux distro. Mind if I ask how you confirmed it was OS-related?
    16Anonymous2026-09-29 04:11
    Re: #12
That was actually a real issue fairly recently. It's fixed now — DB itself admitted that blocking Linux users like that wasn't intended behavior.

    Re: #12
    A journalist looked into it.

There's a German-language article and an English-language article (both linked).
I ran into the same issue myself when I tried DB's route search a week ago.
    14Anonymous2026-09-29 08:24
I think that's a bit off the mark too. It was never a joke — at least not for commuters who have to deal with it two to five days a week. Sure, people say 'it's a joke,' but that's really just irony, a coping mechanism because otherwise you can't stand it — not an actual joke.
    18Anonymous2026-09-29 06:01
Local public transit in cities is usually fine. Local public transit in rural villages is usually awful. And every German has at least one or two stories about long-distance public transit going spectacularly wrong.
    27Anonymous2026-09-29 07:03
    Re: #18
Sure, but I've also got stories about long-distance car trips going terribly. Yet there's no running joke about German roads being garbage.
    20Anonymous2026-09-28 21:43
A few years back a friend was planning a trip to Germany and needed to travel between two cities. A quick search showed a regular train covering roughly 100-200 km cost about €60. Covering a similar distance on Spain's high-speed rail was about €20. I don't know if things have changed since, but back then, Deutsche Bahn looked like a joke.

    Re: #7
    'Nobody complains'?
…Wait, what are you talking about?

Background and key points of this discussion

The self-deprecating gag that “German trains are always late” is a familiar bit even in the English-speaking world, but Deutsche Bahn’s (DB) on-time performance has remained poor in recent years, and the data cited in this thread ranks it last among the seven countries compared (58.5%). Opinions in the thread split over whether this is something you can still laugh off as a joke or a genuine, harmful grievance: commuters testified that 30-minute-to-one-hour delays are an everyday occurrence, while others pushed back with “cars and planes are late too” and “the road network is just as bad, people just don’t complain about it.” Another point of discussion was DB’s official website blocking access that appeared to come from Linux — a real glitch that was also reported by overseas media (and has since been fixed). Note that the claim linking the delays to rail-infrastructure cuts in the ’80s and ’90s is one poster’s personal opinion, not verified data.

  • Average Private-Sector Salary Hits Record ¥4.87 Million for 5th Straight Year, Tax Agency Says

According to the National Tax Agency’s Statistical Survey of Private Sector Salaries, the average salary for 2025 came to ¥4,866,000 (up 1.9% year-on-year, an increase of ¥91,000), marking a record high for the fifth consecutive year. By industry, the electricity, gas, heat supply, and water sectors stood out with notably high pay levels. On 5channel threads, commenters repeatedly pointed out that this figure is an overall average including part-timers and temp workers, with many arguing that “the median, not the mean, should be used” to reflect reality — noting that the average for regular full-time employees alone is ¥5.59 million, and for male regular employees it tops ¥6 million.

The average annual salary last year for employees at private companies hit a record high of roughly ¥4.87 million, marking five straight years of increases.

According to the National Tax Agency, the average salary last year for company employees and part-timers rose ¥91,000 from the previous year to ¥4,866,000 (up 1.9% year-on-year) — the fifth consecutive year of growth.

It’s the highest figure since the survey began, likely reflecting the impact of wage hikes.

Background and Key Points of This Topic

The National Tax Agency’s “Statistical Survey of Private Sector Salaries” covers salaried workers employed throughout the year, and is calculated including not just full-time regular employees but part-timers and temp workers too. This year’s ¥4,866,000 figure is likewise an overall average — for regular employees alone it’s ¥5.59 million, and for male regular employees it tops ¥6 million. The debate raised in the thread over “which is closer to reality, the average or the median” comes down to a statistical quirk: the more income distribution skews toward the top, the higher the average tends to run, so the view that the median feels closer to lived experience has real statistical merit. Meanwhile, the reason the electricity, gas, heat supply, and water sectors post such high figures appears to be rooted in regionally monopolistic business structures and how easily they can pass costs on to customers — a point the original article doesn’t mention, even though it means the numbers can’t be chalked up to wage-raising effort alone.

    Background and Talking Points

Tokai Onair has been based in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture since 2013, with Tetsuya serving as the leader who comes up with and drives the group’s video projects. He’s also known for marrying former AKB48 member Minami Minegishi in 2023. It’s worth noting that the figures thrown around in the thread — construction costs, land prices, even the price of a single pane of glass — aren’t official numbers, just estimates users pieced together from photos and rough price-per-tsubo math. The main point of debate was how to judge the strategy of staying based locally instead of relocating to Tokyo: many commenters praised it, arguing that being rooted in the region is exactly what let the group build cooperative ties, like being named a local tourism ambassador. Others countered that living in Tokyo isn’t always a personal choice — often it’s just where the work is — so the debate over whether basing yourself outside Tokyo is truly the better move doesn’t land on a simple conclusion.

And sure enough, she ended up getting let go
    15AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:30
Did this person start acting strange after getting married?
    Or was it before?
    20AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:35
    Re: #15
She's been depressed since her grandmother passed away, and [her husband] Seino is basically the only thing keeping her tethered to this world
    23AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:37
    Re: #20
I heard her cat died too

    Re: #20
Can losing a grandmother (I'd get it more if it were her mother) and a cat really break someone this badly…
Her husband must be having a rough time too
    18AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:31
Her narration on 'Nomitetsu Tabi' was rough at times before — I thought it had gotten better lately though
    21AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:35
The timing of her going downhill right after marriage is way too on the nose, not a good look
Might just be a string of bad luck, but it really feels like her fortunes tanked hard after the wedding
    22AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:36
That shaky narration on 'Nomitetsu' — I've gotten used to it, it's grown on me at this point
    27AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:40
She always gave off the vibe of someone playing a 'troubled' persona who ended up actually troubled for real
    32AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:43
    Rokkaku's 'Nomitetsu' narration
It was bad for a while but didn't it bounce back?
    34AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:44
For a while she was in the same state as late-period Morishige Hisako, the one Matsumura always used to impersonate
    35AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:44
Her 'Nomitetsu' narration has really bounced back
At its worst her voice sounded like it was about to fade away, but now it's coming through strong
Honestly surprised me enough that I double-checked it wasn't a rerun lol
    36AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:47
That's exactly how someone sounds when they're talking while on sedatives
    40AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:49
Meanwhile Hashimoto Manami, who went down a similar road, seems happy
though she's had a kid and is basically retired now
    42AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:52
She's really lost a lot of weight — wasn't it an eating disorder?
    Hope she gets better soon
    43AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:52
Give it about three years and Seino will probably turn it into a manga

This is like Kimura Ikumi back when she was really struggling…
    78AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:32
Even Tono Nagiko wasn't this bad when she was still on TV
    89AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:38
    Re: #78
She was on 'Barairo Dandy,' but she kept getting thinner and thinner after she started keeping a cat

Background and Key Points of the Discussion

In recent years, Dan Mitsu has repeatedly drawn attention for changes in her voice, particularly in her narration work for TV Asahi’s “Rokkaku Seiji no Nomitetsu Honsen: Nihon Tabi.” Her latest interview with Josei Jishin marks her responding in her own words to those health concerns, but the thread also featured baseless rumors of drug use, insinuations aimed at her husband, manga artist Seino Toru, and unconfirmed gossip about other celebrities’ health — none of which this article treats as established fact. It’s worth noting that conditions like an eating disorder or stress-related symptoms can’t be confirmed from outside without her own account, and it would be misleading to diagnose anything based on appearance alone in a video. As for her narration, opinions in the thread are split between “she’s recovered” and “it’s still rough” depending on the episode, so it’s not accurate to say her condition has been on a steady decline.

A sighting report on 5ch suggests that “Kamiko,” associated with Hello! Project group ANGERME, made an emergency return to Japan from her overseas study trip. A post claiming she showed up at a concert venue sparked wide-ranging discussion — from the real purpose of her study abroad and whether her English is actually as good as claimed, to how her time overseas affected the group’s popularity. Comments like “Get back already, the ship’s sinking” voiced real worry about the group’s current state, showing just how invested fans are.

And today, Kamikoku-san actually showed up too!!
    So happy 😭😭😭
    Thanks for the souvenir too!!!
    3AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:32
    Hirayama's looking good again, visual-wise.
    5AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:33
Guess she got worried enough about ANGERME's current state to rush home.
    8AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:36
There was a stretch when Kamiko was all over the media, but it's not like ANGERME got any more popular or Hello! Project got any more buzz out of it.

She's got a full year's blank, so start the singing and dancing lessons now and begin working her back into shape.
    18AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:42
The type who shows up with a smug 'nothing gets started without me' face~~
    21AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:43
With 'elder' Kamiko back, ANGERME's bound to heat up again.
    22AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:44
It's supposed to be Kawana's triumphant homecoming, but this one's stealing the spotlight instead.
    28AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:47
First time the old ace and the current ace, Nagano, are meeting, huh?
    29AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:48
Kamiko must've landed some lead role or something.
    31AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:50
    >Realized all over again just how much I love Kamikoku-san — to the point I'm waiting for whoever's talking right now to stop and catch their breath

Wow, that reads like something out of a novel.

This should've been the thread title.
    32AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:50
She started studying abroad after Shimakura Rika did, and yet Kamiko's the one who's fluent in English — that's the part that gets me.
    33AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:51
    Re: #32
She's from a top prep school in Kumamoto — just built different upstairs (naturally sharp).
    73AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:32
    Re: #32
I thought Shimakura spoke way better… is she just good with people (strong social skills) rather than actually fluent?
    41AnonymousSep 29, 2026 22:59
    Get back already
    the ship's sinking
    45AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:01
So it's not just a short visit home, but a full, permanent return?
Today's Uta Kon even ran a Kumamoto support special,
so she'll probably jump straight back into activity with stuff like that.
    46AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:01
    'Emergency'?
She posted a video saying her study abroad was wrapping up ages before this.
    47AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:02
As of around summer she was supposedly still planning to stay another year.
    48AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:03
Nice turn of phrase — characters from two different timelines finally meeting
since Motchi hasn't really been in Japan since her debut either.
    49AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:04
What was the study abroad even for? Shimakura Rika talked about having a clear vision behind hers.
    50AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:05
It's been quite a while since the video of her buying souvenirs went up.
    51AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:05
Kamiko's probably angling to be an internationally-active actress — that's likely why she learned English.
    52AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:06
There was an MC segment with Kero and Hirayama
and they seemed to click, it was fun to watch
Both of them had bright expressions during the actual concert
and came across as more dependable for it.
    55AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:07
Is she coming back to whip ANGERME into shape after seeing how sorry a state it's in right now?
    66AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:22
It felt more like an actual homecoming back when she failed the Morning Musume. audition and came home.
    67AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:23
Wonder if she'll come back having gone full foreign-culture-obsessed on us 🅆
    74AnonymousSep 29, 2026 23:46
Guess Ise can finally get back to being 'Taira'
I think there's still room to grow if she focuses purely on performance, so go for it.

Background and Key Points of This Topic

It’s worth noting that “Kamiko’s” emergency return was never officially announced by her or her agency — it’s fan speculation based on a sighting at a concert venue. In the thread, opinions split over the purpose and outcome of her study abroad: some praised her English ability, while others questioned whether she can actually hold a conversation. Views also diverged on how her media exposure during the study-abroad period affected the group’s popularity, with several posts openly questioning the point of the trip altogether. At the same time, plenty of comments expressed concern for the group’s current state and welcomed the idea of her return, underscoring just how closely fans are following ANGERME’s activities. Since this is all based on a sighting report and nothing more, it should not be taken as confirmed fact.
