The story
On 5ch’s Hello! Project board, a thread asking “Whose fans are the most ‘kojirase’ (obsessive/twisted) among Hello! Project OGs (graduated members)?” set off a heated debate. Each OG who has left Hello! Project still has a loyal fanbase, and posters kept nominating names based on behavior at events and sheer posting volume on the boards — Sasaki, Ishida, and Kitagawa were among the names repeatedly brought up. Meanwhile, the claim that “fans of OGs who are doing well, like Airi and Sato, aren’t obsessive” was met with the retort “thinking that way is itself proof you’re obsessive,” and the thread never agreed on just what counts as being ‘kojirase’ in the first place.
What people said
Could you please stop looking at Rikoriko that way?
Isn't that just haters stalking the thread?
You don't even realize that THAT is exactly the obsessive part lol
What exactly about Sato is 'doing great'?
She's doing all kinds of things, so she's doing great — basically the next Airi.
You're seriously underestimating Airi.
Ishida's fanbase is probably bigger than it looks, just lurking quietly.
Ishida's mainly doing stage plays, so her fans want to go wild but there's no event to do it at. Though they exploded at the JPR Thanksgiving Festival.
That's just a troll stirring things up for fun.
Happy, are they?
The desperate ones get completely ignored by Kitagawa at events though.
Also not naming names, but it's exhausting watching people gush over streams and variety shows that aren't even that interesting.
Nothing beats the reassurance of concert-centered activity with Hello! Pro songs.
Who, Iikubo? lol
Don't talk trash about Tsubo-san! 🤬
Maybe they've found peace now that she became a news announcer.
There are still a few scary ones around, but Kitagawa's completely cut them off, so they might eventually give up.
Between Akiyama, Sasaki's fans, and Sasaki herself, there's enough going on to tank something that could've actually sold.
Isn't M-Spe going to be split into two shows?
Don't treat her like she's crazy just because you don't get it.
NOW this is what being obsessive looks like.
That reply just scored big on the obsession meter, you're taking the lead now.
No idea if she'll team up with Akiyama or with Kamiko though.
She said she won't do it unless Kamiko is the one who asks first.
Background and Key Points of This Discussion
Hello! Project calls members who have graduated (left the group) “OGs.” Since each OG goes on to a different kind of activity after leaving — stage acting, YouTube, variety shows, and more — the intensity and visible behavior of their respective fanbases varies widely from member to member. What really split the thread was the definition of “kojirase” itself: some pointed to posting frequency or conspicuous behavior at events as the marker, while others argued that “the quiet-looking ones are exactly where the dangerous fans are hiding,” and the two sides never agreed on which trait truly defines being “kojirase.” Readers should note that all the character assessments and behavioral claims raised in the thread are individual impressions and hearsay from an anonymous message board, not confirmed by the members themselves or any official source. Posts that flatly disparage specific members or fans have been excluded from this article.
