The story
A YouTuber who openly identifies as a fan of Johnny’s (Starto Entertainment) talent reported in a video that after failing to get tickets to a Juice=Juice concert, they joined the Hello! Project fan club — and it became a hot topic on 5ch’s Hello! Project board. The thread was a mix of welcome and bewilderment at the idea of “someone whose name nobody even knows” joining as a newcomer, and it also reignited debate over whether it was fair for Beyooooonds and Tsubaki Factory fans to push their own groups on him in a previous video. The gap in how strongly people feel new fans should “study up” on past material surfaced once again with this report of him joining the fan club.
Oh wow!

What people said
Yeah, exactly
'Offshore = company,' right (meaning unclear/inside joke)
It's his sub-channel, so he's probably just doing whatever he feels like
He hasn't even been to a Juice show yet? That's exactly why people don't like it, lol
The fan club report was in this video.
The comments pushing Beyooooonds so hard were on the previous video.
What's wrong with recommending something?
If he's not interested, he can just scroll past
All you Tsubaki and Beyooooonds fans out there, recite that line before you even touch your PC or phone.
What, is that jealousy talking from a group that doesn't sell?
I'm a newcomer who got hooked this year during the buzz, and I still can't even keep track of the names of Juice's past members, let alone any other Hello! Project group
If you don't even watch Juice's old footage, can you really call yourself a fan?
Even just the relatively recent footage is already more than I can keep up with.
I am trying, though.
Also, with the older stuff you can't search by 'X years ago' or a specific date, so tracking it down is a real pain.
Starting from after Uemura's graduation is fine.
Just make sure you've got TRI2, Clear Juice, and QoH (tour/release titles) covered and you're good.
Even just getting the group's name recognized has some effect
Seriously, cut it out with this
Even he's going to get turned off by this
This guy is starting to look more and more like Homare (a well-known figure in the fandom)
Vocal ability
Performance
Each member's individuality
Great group atmosphere
The members get along well
That applies to Beyooooonds and Tsubaki Factory too
Background and Key Points of This Topic
The basis for this topic is a video posted by a YouTuber who openly identifies as a fan of Johnny’s (Starto Entertainment) talent, reporting that after failing to get tickets to a Juice=Juice concert, they joined the Hello! Project fan club. What split the thread was the reaction to a previous video in which Beyooooonds and Tsubaki Factory fans had recommended their own groups to this newcomer — Juice=Juice fans expressed discomfort (“he hasn’t even been to a Juice show yet”), while others defended it, saying “even just getting your group’s name known has value.” In Hello! Project, where multiple groups coexist, there’s long been a pattern of fans from different groups keeping an eye on each other over the recruitment of new fans, and this exchange is an extension of that same dynamic. The thread also touched on the question of how much past footage new fans should be expected to “study up” on — worth noting as background beyond the thread itself is that the spread of video streaming now lets fans revisit past performances without ever having attended in person, which lowers the barrier to entry for new fans even as it creates a different worry: “where do I even start watching?”
