The story
When Juice=Juice’s Ishiyama Sakura and an AKB48 member appeared together on TV Tokyo’s cooking show “Pekomogu Kitchen,” the male chef hosting the segment seemed visibly distracted by Ishiyama the whole time — and it became a hot topic on 5ch’s Hello! Project board after the broadcast. While plenty of posters chalked it up to “well, she’s beautiful, so what can you do,” others dug up footage of Ishiyama’s 2022 appearance on “Hello! Kitchen.” There was also plenty of back-and-forth comparing the AKB48 member’s variety-show chops and Hello! Project-style looks against Ishiyama’s, with posters pitting the two against each other throughout.

Background and Points of Debate
Ishiyama Sakura joined Juice=Juice as a new member in October 2022, and back then she also appeared in a segment on “Hello! Kitchen” trying her hand at cooking — which is why posters in this thread dug up footage from that earlier appearance. Where opinions split was over which of the two, Ishiyama or the AKB48 member, had the more “Hello! Project-style” look, with support running about even on both sides. The thread also contains a number of mentions of another announcer, Kitagawa, who appears to have had some role in the broadcast, but since the thread posts alone don’t clarify exactly what that role was, this article focuses mainly on the crossover episode between Ishiyama and the AKB48 member. One point worth flagging for readers: the 5ch reactions are strictly viewers’ subjective impressions — the chef himself never made any official comment.
