The story
On the radio program “#Flat” hosted by Panther Mukai and Yaren’z, actor Yu Aoi’s comments after watching a live performance video of Morning Musume ’26 that moved her to tears were introduced on 5channel’s Hello!Project board. Yu Aoi had originally been a supporter of ANGERME, but in November 2025 she made headlines for attending Juice=Juice’s Nippon Budokan concert; this time her praise for Morning Musume drew a flood of fan reactions. In the thread, opinions were divided over how to interpret her “oshi-hen” (switching which idol/group you support) and over comparisons of ticket sell-out rates and popularity between Morning Musume and Juice=Juice.

What people said
Kunio: "I know exactly what kind of contract it was, and how much money changed hands."

Thought Juice's turn in the spotlight would last longer, but I don't even care anymore
Yeah, a treasure trove of hit songs really is strong
Hope they keep crushing it under the new lineup too
Juice=Juice tickets are impossible to get anyway
For Hello!Project otaku whose idea of fun is attending every single show, Morning Musume is the supreme choice
Well, she got into it through Murota, so…
And this festival appearance is their only one this year
Tickets aren't selling, so they're not really clawing up
Isn't the bar for "going viral" or "making a comeback" way too low for every group except Juice=Juice?
Probably great for people who want the reassurance of getting the same kind of songs at the same quality forever
Not for people who want change and excitement
No group can out-"change" iLiFE!
That's the kind of thing aimed at hardcore idol-otaku kids
Morning Musume isn't that
Reassurance? There isn't any — it's not even written in Re: #43
Does Musume really change that much though? It's been Homamei fever for a while now (a fan nickname for a particular member pairing)
[Breaking] Yu Aoi, former ANGERME top oshi, turns out she attended Juice=Juice's Nippon Budokan concert lololol [Switching Favorites]
Yu Aoi
"Having members everyone agrees are amazing — like Ruru Danbara and Reon Inoue — at the top makes a huge difference.
You've got senpai you admire and love teaching you all kinds of things, right? Juice=Juice has such a great atmosphere."
Even the whole direction of the conversation is Juice=Juice's hand-me-down
Yu Aoi: "When I went to see Juice=Juice at Budokan, I couldn't take my eyes off Sairi Endo from the very first song, 'More! Mi Amore.'"

Attending every Musume show is tough too, honestly
Except for the Kagawa show currently on sale, every show including Forest has sold out its matinee
Saitama and Osaka are sold out for both matinee and evening
Meanwhile getting into multiple Juice=Juice shows would already be considered insanely lucky
I'm not asking for change that's THAT bad for the heart lol
Musume's the one that balances reassurance and excitement
It's the whole "ooh, lots of rivals" thing
There's no appeal in a group you can't have all to yourself
She didn't actually go see it though — she just watched the CENTRAL YouTube video
Background and Discussion Points
Yu Aoi is known as a longtime Hello!Project fan who has mainly supported ANGERME, but she made headlines on 5channel back in November 2025 when it emerged that she’d attended Juice=Juice’s Nippon Budokan concert. This time, her praise for a Morning Musume ’26 live video sparked the discussion, and the thread expanded into comparisons between the groups. The focal point was how to weigh Juice=Juice’s “stability” — often described as lacking in change — against Morning Musume’s combination of “reassurance and excitement.” Ticket sell-out status was also raised in several replies, but it should be noted that these are individual posters’ personal observations, not something confirmed by official announcements.
