The story

In a Hello! Project-related thread, iLiFE!’s new song “Aijou Get More Dissonance,” written and composed by Yamazaki Aoi and arranged by Sumigama, became a hot topic. This duo previously worked on Juice=Juice’s hit “Motto Awadate Moretsu!!” (nicknamed “Moremi”) and M!LK’s “That’s! Paranormal,” and many posters praised the new song’s craftsmanship. Opinions were split, however, on whether the rising view counts reflected the song’s own merit or simply the group’s name recognition, and the thread buzzed with speculation about which group the duo might write for next.

Never heard a single iLiFE! song, but I gave this a listen just because it's Yamazaki Aoi, and it was incredibly cool.
Wish Hello! Project had her.
2AnonymousNov 1, 2026 09:51
This duo, though…

Re: #2
Up-Front doesn't pay much on buyout deals (flat-fee, no royalties), so both of them have to hustle for income elsewhere.
3AnonymousNov 1, 2026 09:52
What kind of song title is that, sounds like some "Pure-Hearted Evidence" nonsense.
4AnonymousNov 1, 2026 09:55
Up-Front really won't let this duo write songs left and right lol
Guess buyout deals really are unpopular after all, huh?
5AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:03
I bet when they commission these guys it's literally "Give us something like Moremi, please!"
6AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:07
Guess Aoi's been poached by another scene entirely.
Farewell.
7AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:08
Feels like it'd sound even cooler if a Hello! Project group sang it.
8AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:16
Karen Kuuji's probably a Hello! Project fan herself, so that's probably why she offered them the job.
9AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:18
"That's! Paranormal," made by this duo, looks set to be the biggest hit in Japanese pop this year.
19AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:34
Re: #9
Honestly that song's a miss.
The previous one got way better reception anyway.
10AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:18
Thanks to Moremi, it's not just Juice=Juice — Aoi's become sought-after everywhere, and Sumigama's getting offers where people say "it has to be you." Scary how powerful Moremi turned out to be.
13AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:23
With the two of them this in-demand as a pair, guess Sumigama's arrangements are getting recognized too.
16AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:25
Re: #13
Moremi only works because of that video-game-music-style arrangement though.
14AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:24
Just watched iLiFE!'s Las Vegas collab song.
It was seriously good.
15AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:24
Next year's gonna be iLiFE!'s turn.
I'm rooting for them.
17AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:25
Give one to Juice=Juice too, please.
18AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:31
I like Sumigama's songs like "Platonic Planet" and "Don't Be Spoiled."
20AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:36
Maybe it leaned a little too hard into anime-song territory?
21AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:37
Aoi-Aoi's gonna get discovered at this rate.
37AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:52
Re: #21
Any industry person with their ear to the ground would've already found her and made an offer by now.
22AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:38
Re: #19
It's got 14 million views in 5 days.
24AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:42
It's #6 on the Apple Music chart.
35AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:50
Re: #22
Re: #24
With M!LK, anything gets views just because it's M!LK — at the extreme, the song itself could be a fart noise and it wouldn't matter. It's not selling because of the song.
29AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:46
If she just stops writing for us after this, I'll be so disappointed, Aoi.
30AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:47
Re: #29
Aoi probably wants to say goodbye lol
32AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:49
Re: #29-30
What nonsense are you talking.
Aoi's writing Juice's next anime tie-in song, you know.
39AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:53
Re: #35
On YouTube it's only been up 5 days and it's already the 11th most-viewed of all time.
At this pace it could end up a hit on par with "Bakuretsu" and "Horobi" (fan nicknames for other hit tracks).
50AnonymousNov 1, 2026 11:03
Re: #39
"Jikuu Koete Universe" (lit. "Transcending Space and Time, Universe") got the same kind of hype back then too — how's that doing now?
40AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:53
Out of all the groups that end up singing Aoi's future songs,
Juice=Juice is probably going to be the one that sells the least.
49AnonymousNov 1, 2026 11:02
Re: #40
Yamazaki Aoi takes on offers indiscriminately, mainstream or underground, so Juice=Juice won't end up at the bottom.
46AnonymousNov 1, 2026 10:58
Just like how new Moremi fans came to dismiss the original members as a past embarrassment,
new Aoi-Aoi fans will probably start dismissing Juice=Juice as a past embarrassment too.
54AnonymousNov 1, 2026 11:05
Re: #46
Juice=Juice is about the only group where she really shows her distinct style as a songwriter, so I doubt anyone's going to fall for "Yamazaki Aoi the songwriter" through her other work.
M!LK's songs are just tracing the template set since "Horobi" — there's no particular reason it has to be Yamazaki Aoi.
57AnonymousNov 1, 2026 11:09
So Aoi's most-viewed signature song won't be Moremi anymore?
Guess we'll stop hearing Juice=Juice's name brought up after this.
62AnonymousNov 1, 2026 11:24
Re: #57
As long as M!LK's most-viewed song isn't "That's! Paranormal," Yamazaki Aoi's still "the Moremi person," no?
61AnonymousNov 1, 2026 11:16
Re: #54
This is exactly why Juice fans are like this……
They don't even realize Juice's just tracing the same template too.
69AnonymousNov 1, 2026 11:35
It's fine for now since it's just Karen Kuuji's solo song, but if Aoi ever goes all-in writing for iLiFE! for real, Moremi's numbers would get overtaken in no time.
71AnonymousNov 1, 2026 11:39
Re: #69
Even without her going all-in, the fact that iLiFE! sings it will get it some decent numbers anyway.

Background and Key Points of the Discussion

The thread’s references to “buyout” versus “royalty” contract types point to an industry-specific issue: whether a songwriter’s pay is tied to a group’s sales and view counts. This distinction comes up repeatedly as background whenever fans speculate about which group a writer might work with next. Note that the view-count and ranking figures cited (e.g., 11th all-time on YouTube, #6 on Apple Music) are numbers reported by thread posters at various points in time, not official statistics verified by this article. Opinions in the thread were split on two points: whether strong view counts reflect the quality of the song itself or simply the name recognition of the group/project behind it, and which group the Yamazaki Aoi–Sumigama duo might write for next. Neither point is confirmed fact — both remain in the realm of fan speculation.
