The story
Runa Nakagawa of idol group “FRUITS ZIPPER” sat out part of a tour concert on September 25 and also missed the September 27 broadcast of NHK’s “Nodo Jiman,” citing poor health. The trigger was a video circulating on social media that seemed to show a gap in how members reacted to each other, fueling speculation that “they might not get along.” On 5ch, opinions clashed between those who said professionals shouldn’t let their feelings show and those who said the real problem was baseless bashing. A string of posts also pushed back on the “bad blood” rumor, citing exchanges on radio shows and at live performances.
“Regarding Runa Nakagawa, due to poor health, she will be absent from tomorrow’s scheduled appearance on ‘NHK Nodo Jiman.’”
This was an announcement made on September 26 by the official social media account of the seven-member idol group “FRUITS ZIPPER.” It stated that member Runa Nakagawa would be sitting out her appearance on the September 27 broadcast of “NHK Nodo Jiman.”
Nakagawa had also limited her participation in the concert tour performance held on September 25, due to poor health.

What people said
It's not like every single member of a group has to be besties anyway.
It's fine if they don't get along, but it's a job — act friendly on camera, you're not a kid.
That's just a lack of professionalism.
Whether they get along or not doesn't matter — what's being criticized is the folly of letting it show.
It's like saying "if you have a boyfriend, just don't get caught."
If you're a pro, hide it properly.
Maybe part of it is that fans these days get upset if members don't look close.
Whether it's idols or YouTubers, the "members are besties" act is part of the job.
Regardless of how things really are, they have to put out videos acting perfectly in sync and close.
For musicians or bands who don't bother with that kind of camaraderie act, this "besties" setup isn't needed.
But for an idol group, projecting a "we're close, we've worked hard together" image is part of the job — they're required to perform it.
I watched it and still have no idea what's supposed to be the red flag.
This time, the more into the group you are as a fan, the more you can tell — that's probably what made it blow up even more.
Normally this kind of flare-up gets defended by the fans, but even that crowd ended up thinking, "yeah, I guess it really is like that."
If the one being excluded had just denied it on social media, her reputation would've actually gone up.
For that to work, the one doing the excluding would also need to step up and show they're close — otherwise it's pointless.
The fact that they can't do that is probably why it's such a mess.
The one being excluded has no obligation to go that far.
Pink talks → everyone claps.
Red (Amane Tsukiashi) talks → only Pink reacts.

Isn't there footage after this?
To me it just looks like things are going exactly according to script.
TV talent get booked precisely because they stay "on" even when it's not their moment — able to put on a face and react on cue.
Letting your guard down when it's not your turn isn't unique to these girls; you see the same thing in other idols' interview scenes all the time.
If anything, FT's (FRUITS ZIPPER's) forced, over-the-top "we're so close" celebration routine is the abnormal part — which is exactly why the one person not doing it stood out.
This one's easy to follow.
Nishino Nanase and Akimoto Manatsu are a famous case, aren't they?
Early on it was Nishino who one-sidedly disliked her, but they later reconciled and got close.
With that many members, there's probably always someone they click with, or management handles it well.
Though early in the 3rd generation, Kubo seemed a bit shaky…
Green really was pitiful.
I change the channel whenever the other members come on TV.
There's footage of Fukuhara Haruka being treated like this too, back when she was a model.
This kind of thing happens fairly often in all-female groups.
Heck, it happens in groups of middle-aged women too.
How exactly are you supposed to keep a bunch of women in their late 20s/early 30s in line?
If most of the members were teens, maybe, but…
They're adults themselves to begin with. What are you even talking about?

Amaneki said, "I didn't have a hair accessory that matched this hairstyle, so I called Runa and borrowed one! I'll do my best for Runa's sake too, so please cheer us on!" — she was wearing Runapi's ribbon and I burst into tears…
Manafii even changed the song lyrics to "Runa Runa Runaaa!🎶," and during the encore Osuzu danced while holding Runapi's plushie — I love them, this is the best😿💜
Trying to settle everything with just this is a stretch, honestly.
Management really fumbled this one.
Instant, manufactured tearjerker moments (what fans call "kandou porno") are rough to watch.
If anything, this is just their everyday normal.
The only ones who don't know that are haters and bandwagon fans.

Tsukiashi: "This morning Runa, me, Yui, and Manafi were all cheerfully singing COSMOS together.
Like, before we knew it, the four of us had even split it into parts and were singing it properly."
It's funny how this completely debunks the "bad blood" rumor every single time.
Behind the scenes they're perfectly on good terms.
Everyone listens to ANNX, you know.
Not falling for it lol
And by the way, this was before the "First Take" video even came out.
At this point the "bad blood" story is basically unrebuttable lol
A shining example of a fan trying desperately hard (lol)
She's not feeling well.
It's been going on since before this whole thing started.
Fans already know.
Honestly this thread looks like it's full of haters posting under fake accounts to stir things up.

Guess they worked hard behind the scenes on all sorts of things lol
No matter how hard some faction pushes this far-fetched "bad blood" story, you can't keep a lid on the truth.
Everyone ends up realizing the truth — there was never any bad blood at all.
Background and Key Points of This Story
FRUITS ZIPPER is a seven-member idol group that launched in 2022 as a TikTok-born project, with Runa Nakagawa as one of its members. Regarding her absence from “NHK Nodo Jiman” this time, the official social media account only cited “poor health,” and neither Nakagawa herself nor her management has explicitly confirmed any link to the bashing. It’s worth noting that the “member-ignoring” video circulating online is only a few seconds of cut footage, and many posts jumped to conclusions about attitude without knowing the context before or after. On the thread, two views clashed without reaching common ground: one holding that, as part of an idol’s job, performing a “close friends” image is part of the product’s value, and another holding that members shouldn’t be expected to manage and perform even their private feelings. Meanwhile, many posts cited remarks made on radio shows and at live performances to deny the rift rumor, with opinions diverging depending on the source of the information.
