The story
An anti-fan thread for “Detective Precure!” on 5ch’s anime board saw a wave of complaints about the movie’s plot. Many were upset that the story pins all the blame on Gouemon just to shield heroine Ruruka, asking “how much longer are they going to coddle Ruruka?” Others piled on about the multiple crossovers with Street Fighter 6 and Detective Conan, calling it “too many crossovers” and saying the show has “dropped all pretense and is just doing whatever it wants.” Posters were also split on whether to start the thread early as a defense against trolls.

What people said
That's basically no different from spamming duplicate threads.
If anything, starting it quickly keeps the newest thread from getting trashed by trolls.
That's exactly the logic trolls use — they don't care how, as long as shutting down the anti-thread kills the conversation.
What a sight.
You're a troll too, you know.
Though you probably don't realize it.
And honestly, the reasoning behind defending her is such a stretch too.
How much more do they need to coddle Ruru-trash?
I hate myself for it.
Because plot-wise, Ruruka's side did intend to steal it, since they needed another jewel to replace Eclair's Makoto Jewel (and even more so if Ruruka's stated motive — doing it for the world and for Curea — is meant to be genuine).
Maybe because it's a story about coaxing a shut-in kid outside, the whole thing felt dark in tone, and the ending theme was too gloomy to match. It's supposed to be a Tan Precure-centered movie, but Kimi Precure and Wan Precure (other character team groupings) had way stronger team chemistry despite getting less screen time. Even the all-together finishing pose felt cluttered and unfocused for the Tan Precure squad. The Future Form's purification attack is basically just "Detective" again, and it's suspicious the Garlic Rod is still in play. Disappointed the Answer Hanamaru Sword got left out — guess it's just not popular.
Even Yoshiyama is speaking out now.
Who's even the target audience for a fighting-game crossover?
Guess it's a "spray and pray, something's bound to land" kind of strategy.
This show is done for.
Background and Key Points of This Topic
“Detective Precure!” is the latest entry in the Precure franchise, and its movie features an even heavier-than-usual lineup of crossovers, including Street Fighter 6 and Detective Conan. Two complaints stood out in this thread: frustration with a script that concentrates all the blame on Gouemon to absolve heroine Ruruka, and fatigue over multiple crossovers running at once. Though separate issues, both feed into a shared complaint that “the production’s own convenience is being prioritized” over the story. Anti-fan threads are a long-standing 5ch custom, serving as a space to follow a series while trading critical opinions, and posters in this thread were themselves split over whether to start threads early. Note that posts based on unconfirmed rumors about individual voice actors or the director have been excluded from this article, since they could not be verified.
