  • SoftBank Chairman Sadaharu Oh Mourns Lifelong Rival Isao Harimoto: ‘Go to Heaven with Your Head Held High’

In a thread on 5ch’s Geinou/Sports Breaking News+ board, comments spread after SoftBank chairman Sadaharu Oh (86) — born the same year as Isao Harimoto and a fellow rookie from the same draft class — offered a tribute following Harimoto’s death on September 9, saying he hoped Harimoto could “go to heaven with his head held high.” Oh and Harimoto were lifelong friends who, after Harimoto’s 1976 transfer to the Yomiuri Giants, formed the famous “OH Cannon” batting duo and helped power the Giants to their first championship under manager Shigeo Nagashima. On the thread, some users found the phrase “with his head held high” an odd choice of words for a tribute, while others reminisced about Harimoto’s playing days and shared updates on Chairman Oh’s current health.

SoftBank chairman Sadaharu Oh (86) mourned the sudden loss of his old friend Isao Harimoto, who passed away on September 9, in comments made on the 10th.

Both were born in 1940 and turned pro the same year, in 1959. In 1976, Harimoto transferred from the Nippon-Ham Fighters to the Yomiuri Giants, where he and Oh formed the famed “OH Cannon” batting duo, hitting .355 with 22 home runs and 93 RBIs that season. He contributed to manager Shigeo Nagashima’s first championship that same year. The following season, in 1977, he posted a .348 average with 24 home runs and 82 RBIs, driving the team to another league title.

When he came back as manager after having his entire stomach removed for cancer, you'd often see him looking unwell, probably from food getting stuck in his esophagus.

There was even an away game at Chiba Marine Stadium where his face suddenly turned ashen mid-game and he retreated to the back of the dugout and never came back — the head coach had to step in as acting manager.

He ended up resigning as manager that same offseason and moved into a front-office role.

Looking back on that, it's amazing how well he's doing now.
    19AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:12
The way he phrased it makes it sound like Harimoto had something to feel guilty about.

Both Oh and Harimoto faced a lot of discrimination back in their day and share that common hardship, so I think there's a real bond between them.

What a wild era that was lol

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

Isao Harimoto holds the all-time NPB record with 3,085 career hits. After transferring from the Nippon-Ham Fighters to the Yomiuri Giants in 1976, he and Chairman Oh formed the famous “OH Cannon” duo and helped power the team to league championships. The phrase that sparked discussion here — “I hope he can go to heaven with his head held high” — split the thread between users who felt it sounded like it implied Harimoto had something to be ashamed of, and those who read it more charitably as a tribute to his record-breaking career. Harimoto’s post-retirement years were also marked by controversies, including a reported dispute with a taxi driver, and some of that past coverage seems to have colored how people read into Oh’s choice of words this time. Meanwhile, longtime fans also expressed renewed surprise and respect that Chairman Oh remains active as team chairman despite having battled stomach cancer in the past.

  • Who’s the Best Defensive Shortstop in NPB History? 5ch Says Makoto Kosaka Tops the Defensive Rankings

The question “Who’s the best defensive shortstop in NPB history?” sparked a lively debate on the Nandemo Jikkyo board (a general live-discussion board on 5ch). Someone posted aggregated shortstop defensive stats spanning 1950 to 2020, showing Makoto Kosaka atop the all-time defensive runs rankings, while others pointed out that Yasumitsu Toyoda comes out on top once multiple metrics are combined. Among active players, opinions split over whether Saitama Seibu’s Sosuke Genda or Shuhei Takizawa is better, and names like Hayato Sakamoto and Kazuo Matsui also came up, turning the thread into a debate spanning legendary greats and current stars alike.

He was amazing for a stretch, but it didn't last long.

Background and Key Points of the Discussion

There are several metrics for quantifying defensive skill, and both the “defensive runs” figure and the Range Factor (RF) posted in the thread can shift rankings depending on how they’re calculated. Evaluations of the same player can flip depending on which metric is used — in the thread itself, opinions diverged over whether Yasumitsu Toyoda or Hayato Sakamoto deserved the “best overall” spot. Defensive stats are also heavily shaped by innings played, meaning players who held the same position for a long time tend to rack up bigger cumulative numbers, which makes it hard to crown the best defender on career totals alone. In recent years metrics like UZR and DRS, which account for batted-ball direction, have come into use, but no such data exists for players from earlier eras, so cross-era comparisons need to be read with that caveat in mind.

  • PlayStation Withdrawal/Sale Rumors Heat Up on 5ch: “The Great Earnings Are the Total Opposite of Reality”

On the 5ch hardware/industry (“geha”) board, speculation was heating up that Sony’s PlayStation business might eventually withdraw from the market or be sold off. The trigger was an apparently contradictory situation: while Sony has been reworking its relationship with Kojima Productions, scaling back disc versions, and pushing through a string of studio closures and layoffs, its gaming division’s operating profit keeps hitting record highs. The thread was split right down the middle — one camp arguing “the earnings are great, so it’s safe,” the other suspecting “those very numbers were manufactured through asset sales and cost-cutting” — and the debate expanded to include comparisons with Nintendo. It’s worth noting that there’s no actual information confirming any withdrawal or sale has been decided; this remains purely user speculation.

Right now PS is basically just cutting off its own flesh and selling it, then calling the result a profit.

Exactly, if they were planning to keep the PlayStation business going, they wouldn't cut ties with Director Kojima —
even if the project ran at a loss.
Because Sony itself knows that "Sony's own Kojima-kan (Director Kojima)" is part of PS fans' identity.
So the fact that they threw that identity away this time means something.

No one thought VAIO or BRAVIA would ever get sold off either, right?
For Sony people, profit is everything — they have no real attachment to their own brands.
If they don't see enough margin in it, they'll sell while there's still value to sell.

Background and key points of this discussion

The backdrop to this discussion is an apparently contradictory situation at Sony’s game division: in recent years it has ended its contract with Kojima Productions, scaled back disc versions, and pushed ahead with studio closures and layoffs, all while operating profit keeps hitting record highs. The thread was split mainly along two lines. One was the divide between those who read “strong earnings” as “everything’s fine” and those who suspected the earnings figures themselves were inflated through cost-cutting and asset sales. The other was a disagreement over comparisons with Nintendo, where some pointed to Switch 2’s strong sales to argue “PlayStation will be the one to pull out first,” while others pushed back on that view. It’s worth keeping in mind that everything discussed in the thread about a sale or withdrawal is user speculation — Sony has made no official announcement. The earnings figures and unit-sales numbers cited are also based on the posters’ own tallies, not primary source material.

  • “Even During Meetings”: 40-Something Boss Left Speechless as 20-Something Subordinate Won’t Put Down the Phone — The Truth About Young People’s Screen Time [FORZA]

A FORZA STYLE article about a 40-something boss left speechless by a 20-something subordinate who kept fiddling with their phone under the desk during meetings was picked up on 5ch’s News Express+ board. While plenty of commenters chimed in with their own stories about young people’s smartphone addiction and public etiquette, many also questioned the article’s credibility, calling it “another ‘kotatsu article’” (a piece written from home without real reporting) and pointing out that “the setup falls apart — it’s supposed to be an internal department meeting, but then a client shows up.” The discussion went beyond generational griping, touching on the current seller’s-market job hunt for new graduates and concerns over declining Japanese language skills among young people.

You should've hit on her right there.

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

The original article is a feature piece from the web outlet FORZA STYLE, framed as a boss’s first-person account. On 5ch, the conversation focused less on the content itself and more on repeated doubts about its credibility — commenters speculated it was a “kotatsu article” written without any real reporting, and several pointed out contradictions in the described situation. At the same time, many users related to the phenomenon of “a subordinate who’s always on their phone” from personal experience, and the thread grew beyond simple criticism of the article to cover young people’s smartphone addiction, public etiquette, the current seller’s market in new-graduate hiring, and concerns about declining Japanese language ability — touching on generational commentary and the structure of the labor market. Since the truth of the article can’t actually be verified, it’s best read less as a question of “did this really happen?” and more through the lens of “why do stories like this keep getting told, and why do they spark both sympathy and backlash?”

*This article is compiled and summarized from the 5ch (News Express+) thread “‘What could possibly be that interesting to watch?’ A 20-something subordinate fiddles with their phone under the desk during meetings, leaving a 40-something boss speechless — young people’s screen time [FORZA].”

  • Kojima Says PHYSINT Is Still ‘5-6 Years Away’ — 5ch: ‘Didn’t They Know They Were Just Being His Patron?’

Director Hideo Kojima’s remark from a May 2025 interview—that Kojima Productions’ new title PHYSINT would still take another “5 to 6 years” to complete—resurfaced on 5ch and sparked discussion. Working backward, that timeline points to a 2030–2031 release, and since Sony reportedly cut ties with the studio around that same window, reactions poured in along the lines of “well, of course they’d get dropped.” The thread saw pushback comparing this to Death Stranding, which shipped in roughly three and a half years, with some questioning why this project needed so much longer, while others defended the timeline as normal for a big-budget title. The discussion expanded to include theories about needing to build a track record right after going independent, as well as comparisons to Sony’s past decision to pour huge sums into Concord before canceling it.

So there was an upside to letting him make two Death Stranding games after all.

    Background and Points of Debate

PHYSINT was unveiled at the 2023 PlayStation Showcase as Kojima Productions’ new spy-action title, and it’s been treated as a super-blockbuster project from the start. Since going independent in 2015, Kojima Productions shipped Death Stranding in about three and a half years and its sequel in roughly six, so the gap between that track record and this latest “5 to 6 years” comment became a focal point of debate on the thread. While AAA game development is generally considered to run 3 to 5 years these days, budget and staffing constraints often stretch that out, which is why opinions split over what counts as “normal.” There were also voices questioning the consistency of Sony’s decision-making, pointing to how the company poured huge sums into Concord only to cancel it shortly after launch.

*This article is excerpted and summarized from the 5ch (Hardware/Industry (Geha)) thread “Kojima blabbed in a 2025 interview that PHYSINT was still 5-6 years from completion lol, of course they’d get cut“.

Kojima Productions announced on September 10 that it is expanding its partnership with Xbox for its new next-generation espionage action title, “PHYSINT.” Following “OD,” which is already being co-developed with Xbox, the new title will also team up with Xbox — effectively marking PlayStation’s withdrawal from the collaborative development setup. On 5channel’s Entertainment/Sports News+ board, users discussed what happens to independent creators when they lose the backing of a major publisher, how Kojima’s work has been received since “Death Stranding,” and how streaming culture is affecting sales of story-driven games.

What kind of game was Nagoshi trying to make?

Background and key points of this discussion

“PHYSINT” is billed as a “fusion of games and movies,” and as post #22 notes, quite a while has passed since its announcement with no concrete footage revealed yet. This latest announcement formalizes Xbox’s involvement in this new title too, following “OD,” which is already being co-developed with Xbox — meaning PlayStation has stepped back from what had been an exclusive collaborative arrangement. It’s easy to misread this as Sony titles disappearing altogether, which isn’t the case here. On the thread, citing examples like Yuji Naka and Like a Dragon (Yakuza) studio figure Toshihiro Nagoshi, users debated the view that even accomplished creators tend to stall out once they lose the backing of a major publisher, alongside a sharp split in opinion over “Death Stranding.” There was also broader discussion of an industry-wide issue: story-driven games being “consumed” via let’s-plays and streams in a way that doesn’t translate into sales.

  • Hiroyuki Claims “More People Would Fix the Economy” — 5ch Fires Back: “And How Exactly?”

Businessman Hiroyuki (Hiroyuki Nishimura) updated his X account by the 9th, reportedly citing population growth as the “breakthrough” for rebuilding Japan’s economy, posting that “nobody would deny that increasing the population would improve Japan’s economy.” He offered no concrete policy proposals, and on 5ch the first reaction was the obvious practical question: “Okay, but how exactly do you increase it?” The discussion spread in many directions — the relationship between women’s workforce participation and the birth rate, the impact of the job market and the “employment ice age” generation, and birth rate situations in other countries — with a resigned mood standing out, as many concluded there’s no easy fix.

    45AnonymousSep 10, 2026 16:15
    Re: #30
Ironically, the rise in staying single combined with women entering the workforce meant men and women ended up fighting over a limited pool of jobs, which is what made the ice-age generation so miserable.
If the old-fashioned division of labor — men working and earning money, women mainly handling childbirth, childcare, and the household — had been kept up, the job market wouldn't have gotten so brutal, and the birth rate would have been higher too.

As long as kids are a financial burden on the household, you can't mass-produce them.

No country on Earth has solved its low birth rate — why would you think Japan can?
    87AnonymousSep 10, 2026 16:44
The low birth rate comes down to ① jobs — it's not that there are no kids, it's that there were no jobs to begin with.
The employment ice age is exactly that.

Even back when there were plenty of highly educated kids, there weren't enough jobs, and without connections you couldn't land work that matched your education and paid accordingly — so the huge cohort of kids from the high-birth era became job-hunting refugees the moment they graduated.

A job that only pays enough to cover living costs, with no real ability to save, is basically slave labor — and today's Japan is full of exactly that: brutal jobs with slave wages, while big profitable companies still run mass layoffs.

    Because of the "hire-all-new-grads-at-once" system,
each kid costs you the equivalent of 50 million yen (roughly $330,000) in debt.

Universities that exist purely to land you a job are going to be the death of Japan.
    106AnonymousSep 10, 2026 16:57
    Re: #98
Funny how nobody ever argues that companies should prioritize hiring less-educated people (high school or middle school grads).
The public itself endorses companies prioritizing highly educated hires, so nothing's going to change.
    115AnonymousSep 10, 2026 17:04
As a starting premise, raising the birth rate is impossible without some level of coercion pushing women to give birth.
Obviously that's a non-starter in today's world on human-rights grounds, so it's just not happening.
Your only options are places like Africa, the Middle East, and Islamic countries where women's rights are restricted, or places like Israel where religious teachings drive people to have kids.
    116AnonymousSep 10, 2026 17:05
Let's just say the biggest cause of the low birth rate straight out: "kids are given too many rights and too much money is spent on them."
In countries and eras with population growth, kids were casually born, fed whatever, sent out to work, and made to bring money home.
Japan should go back to that.

If we can't do that, there's nothing to be done about the low birth rate.
    Give up.
    121AnonymousSep 10, 2026 17:11
    Re: #116
Can you really treat kids that way at this point?
    I can't.
While paying lip service to human rights, they went way too far with the whip-cracking approach in the workplace, I guess.
Nobody believes what the government or pundits say anymore anyway.

Background and Key Points of the Debate

On the low-birthrate issue, the government has rolled out multiple measures over the years — expanded child allowances, free childcare, and more — but none have stopped the birth rate’s downward slide. Hiroyuki’s post touches on this backdrop, but without addressing concrete funding sources or policy design, prompting a widespread reaction of “hard to disagree with in the abstract, but there’s no actual plan here.” The thread split along a familiar fault line in low-birthrate debates: those who blame women’s workforce participation versus those who blame the poor job market, low wages, and the lingering damage from the employment ice age. It’s also worth noting that some countries with reportedly high birth rates owe part of that figure to immigrant inflows boosting the statistics, so simple international comparisons can be misleading about what’s really going on.

※This article is compiled and summarized from the 5ch (Geinou/Sports Breaking News+) thread “Hiroyuki talks about a ‘breakthrough’ to rebuild Japan’s economy — ‘nobody would deny it’ — so what’s the method? ‘Let’s have more Japanese kids’.”

  • ‘Wednesday Downtown’ to Go on Hiatus for 3 Straight Weeks — 5ch: “The Asian Games Are Boring as Hell”

During its September 9 broadcast, “Wednesday Downtown” announced near the end of the show that it would go on hiatus for three weeks starting next Wednesday the 16th, as TBS prioritizes coverage of the Asian Games, with the next episode airing October 7. On the thread, reactions focused less on the hiatus itself and more on debates over how to rank the Asian Games (comments like “it’s basically the Asian version of the Olympics” or “the competition level is low”), nostalgic looks back at the show’s classic segments, and pointed observations about the gap between broadcast ratings and streaming view counts.

The TBS variety show “Wednesday Downtown” (airing at 10 PM) broadcast its latest episode on the 9th. At the end of the show, it was announced that the next episode would air on October 7.

This episode featured two segments: “Theory: If you walk toward Shikoku picking up dropped receipts along the way, you could turn those receipts into a white pilgrim’s robe and complete the Shikoku pilgrimage circuit” and “Theory: There are actually quite a few things that instantly disappear the moment a single old man collapses.” At the end of the broadcast, the narrator announced, “Starting next Wednesday, TBS will be broadcasting the Asian Games for three weeks,” with an on-screen caption reading “Next episode: 10/7 (Wed).” The show will be on hiatus on September 16, 23, and 30. For the October 7 episode, two segments were previewed: “Instant Elimination If Your Identity Is Exposed! Masked Man Journey” and “Sneak the Answer to the Question Playing Behind Your Junior Coworker into a Scolding! Buzzer Scolding Quiz.”

    Re: #81
It's the same story with other sports too — just watching is boring on its own. It's the commentary, the analysis, and the fact that they're representing their country that actually makes it exciting

    Background and Key Points

The Asian Games is a multi-sport event held once every four years, two years after each Olympics, and terrestrial primetime broadcast slots for it are limited. This time, TBS is bumping its flagship variety show for a full three weeks just to secure air time for the coverage, which shows how high a priority the network is placing on it. What actually sparked the most discussion on the thread wasn’t the coverage itself, but the observation that “ratings are low, yet it’s always near the top on TVer” — a comment that captures the broader recent trend of broadcast ratings and streaming view counts pulling apart. It’s also worth noting, for context on how hard some athletes compete, that in South Korea a gold medal at the Asian Games can earn athletes exemption from mandatory military service — a system not widely known in Japan, and one that shapes how fiercely certain competitors fight for the win. As for the show itself, opinions on this episode were split between “that was fun” and “this one was kind of a letdown,” with viewers seeming more concerned about the show’s segments feeling repetitive than about the hiatus announcement itself.

Daisuke Hori, who built his popular YouTube channel on the claim that he’s slept only 30 minutes a day for 17 years, is making waves on 5channel after he snored and fell into a deep sleep during a collaboration stream with a massage therapist — taking roughly 29 minutes to wake up. Viewers also noticed that the stream was paused while he was asleep, and that the camera angle and screen layout had changed once it resumed. Opinions in the thread were split over whether this really counts as “sleep,” with some suspecting he hid an inconvenient moment, as debate raged over how credible his explanation really was.

Looks like he's only got 1 minute of sleep left for today
    2AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:45
He had an alarm set and still woke up, lol

He paused the stream right at the inconvenient part, lol
    3AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:45
Even the X (Twitter) fans who used to root for Daisuke Hori are genuinely shaken

Lol, he's got a full 30 minutes before the ten-count
    6AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:52
Looks like he was snoring hard and completely out cold
    7AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:53
They should market it as 'the massage that knocked Daisuke Hori out'
    8AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:53
I'm rewatching the part where he wakes up right now — didn't the therapist suddenly vanish and the shot cut to something else?
The cameraman's position changed too. Is that normal?
    9AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:54
    Re: #8
Apparently he was really asleep and the alarm went off
Sounds like they cut the stream around then
    10AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:55

    Oh…
    12AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:56
He was just meditating with his eyes closed
Can't believe amateurs don't even get that
    13AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:56
Wait, didn't he already sleep 30 minutes last night?
    35AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:14
    Re: #13
That 30 minutes from last night
suddenly turned out to actually be 27 minutes

And since he slept 3 minutes during the massage just now, he's now claiming that adds up to 30
    15AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:58
Daisuke Hori: 'I was aware I was snoring, so it doesn't count'

    Apparently
    16AnonymousSep 10, 2026 14:59
He already said passing out counts as fine, so he'll probably rule this fine too
    19AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:04
Still zero proof… the haters are trying way too hard
No way he'd fall asleep on day one
    21AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:05
He's probably just going to keep running with this as a bit now
    22AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:06
    Nice try, hater
It's just something extremely close to sleep, that's all
    23AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:07
Just tuned in — why's it muted?

He mutes it whenever things get inconvenient

Probably 'harassment-the-staff' time (パワハラ, i.e. abusing his authority over them)
    33AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:13
Why'd he even go get a massage in the first place
    47AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:20
So does that mean he burned through 29 minutes of his September 10th sleep quota?
There's also word he slept 30 minutes at night — is that supposed to count toward September 9th instead?
    55AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:24
    Re: #47
The 30 minutes he slept around 2:00 AM
has now become just 27 minutes of sleep

And that 30-minute massage nap just now
was apparently just microsleep, so that's 3 minutes

So he seems to be trying to claim the grand total is still only 30 minutes, but…
    49AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:21
This guy's about to get super popular as 'the massage therapist who put Hori to sleep'

    68AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:30
No matter how you slice it, he went over 30 minutes, and the whole premise was never about sleeping in scattered 30-minute chunks anyway, was it? Something he'd kept up for 17 years broke down today. Guess we can call this a historic moment?

Could it be that BCAAs or EAAs are keeping his parasympathetic nervous system from kicking in?

    Background and Talking Points

Daisuke Hori built a YouTube following racking up millions of views on videos centered around his claim of sleeping only 30 minutes a day for 17 years, and this massage-therapist collaboration was part of that same ongoing demonstration series. Medically, there are documented cases of “short sleepers” who stay healthy on very little sleep, but most such reports lack backing from research institutions using tools like EEG monitoring and rest on self-reporting alone. The sticking point in the thread was that Hori has previously offered his own idiosyncratic standards for what counts — claiming that snoring he was “aware of” doesn’t count, or that passing out is “safe” — leaving viewers deeply skeptical of the very definition of “sleep” he’s using. The fact that the stream was paused while he dozed off, and that the camera position and screen layout had changed by the time it resumed, has only fueled suspicions of staging or editing.

  • Okoe Momoka Pleads: “Stop Digging Up My Brother’s Past”

Basketball player Okoe Momoka updated her X (Twitter) account on September 10, sharing her feelings as a family member about the media coverage of her brother, former Yomiuri Giants player Okoe Rui: “Please stop digging up the past over and over, writing speculative articles, and chasing him around.” Rui had been playing for a club in Mexico in recent years, but reports say he was released by that team around May of this year, and his current affiliation and whereabouts remain unclear. Reactions on 5ch were split, with some questioning the way he’s being covered and others saying that, given his past conduct, being reported on is unavoidable.

Digging up the past is just normal [journalism], isn't it?
    22AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:11
I don't think the media's great either, but first the family should be telling her brother to avoid giving them reasons to report on him like this.
    27AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:12
At this point his only option left is to come back as a mysterious masked wrestler.
    28AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:13
He'd better not cause trouble in Mexico. Security there is bad, so one wrong word could get him disappeared.
I don't think Okoe Rui has the ability to make it as a baseball player anymore, but he's got a good body and some shady rumors going, so I want him on Breaking Down (a Japanese MMA/street-fight exhibition show).
    He'd look seriously strong.
    33AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:14
    Ramos Rui, quietly…
stop calling yourself "Leaky Rui" (wordplay — footballer Ruy Ramos shares the same 瑠偉/"Rui" kanji as Okoe Rui, and もらす means "to leak/wet oneself").

Oh, the Okoe who's the Olympic medalist.
What did her brother do in the past?
    35AnonymousSep 10, 2026 15:15
It's fine to know what he did in the past, look at who he is now, and decide to let it slide or forgive him — but that doesn't erase what he actually did back then.
And knowing the whole story and still choosing "I won't forgive him" is a perfectly normal option too.

    Re: #88
Apparently he moved to a different team in May and got fired there too.

Background and key points of this story

Okoe Rui joined the Yomiuri Giants in 2016, and in recent years had shifted his career to a club team in Mexico. As the 5ch reactions note, there are reports that he was released from his contract shortly after moving to a different team around May of this year, leaving his standing as a player unsettled. In the thread, a defense of the coverage (“digging up the past is normal for reporting”) and a sympathetic view (“the family is speaking out of worry — why pile on?”) are roughly evenly matched, making this a case that doesn’t reduce to simple right and wrong. Note that many details about what specific trouble Rui got into circulate in the thread only as hearsay or unconfirmed information, so this article has omitted comments touching on unverified allegations about a named individual. One point readers could easily misread: Momoka’s post is strictly a protest against “the repeated rehashing of past coverage” — it is not an official statement on whether Rui remains active or has retired.
