The story
The official X account announced that Hizaki Ebata, of the idol group Shiritsu Ebisu Chugakko (Ebichu), appeared as a guest on “All Night Nippon X,” the show hosted by Hinatazaka46’s Yoko Shogenji — and a thread quickly went up on 5ch’s Hello! Project board. The occasion: the two were classmates in high school. The thread buzzed over just how wide Ebata’s circle of friends is, with posters listing off several current members of Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46, and Hinatazaka46 who attended the same school. Talk also spread to the show’s ratings race and to Shogenji’s on-air antics.

What people said
High school classmates. The school had an entertainment course, so there were quite a few idols in her class.
Ahahahaha
Meanwhile Yokaze (an idol's nickname) has basically none
Didn't Yokaze post a photo with a classmate from Ebichu?
She brought that story up again at the top of today's broadcast too
Is it her real name?
Sakamichi idols use their real names basically across the board, with a few exceptions
If it were a stage name, they wouldn't deliberately pick some surname nobody's ever heard of
She's a cousin of Nogizaka's Ioki
Sakurazaka: Mio Matsuno, Sumiha Mukai
Nogizaka: Nao Tomisato
Hinatazaka: Yoko Shogenji, Kaho Fujishima
Somehow everyone's name sounds like nobility
After Part 1's send-off ended and some time had passed, about 8 young people her age came out of the venue
I wonder if she was among them
But Matsuno uses casual speech with Ebata

Shogenji held the top spot last time too, so if she gets overtaken by Harai Ichi's show opposite her this time,
the Ohisama (Hinatazaka's fan base) will make her the scapegoat — get it together!
Because this is exactly what 'making it' looks like
And instead of going the correspondence-school route, she went to that high school in Meguro full of celebrities and
made a ton of friends — that's going to pay off down the line
Both of them, really
Background and Key Points of This Topic
“All Night Nippon X” is a late-night radio slot that Nippon Broadcasting runs aimed at younger listeners. The ranking battles over ratings metrics like “Core,” “Cross,” and “Zero” — which came up repeatedly in the thread — are closely watched by Sakamichi (Nogizaka/Sakurazaka/Hinatazaka) fans as a gauge of each featured idol’s popularity. As for the high school with the entertainment-focused course that Ebata is said to have attended, there are several schools known for having many celebrity classmates, such as Horikoshi High School, and it isn’t unusual — even outside the Sakamichi groups — for multiple idols to end up as classmates. Centered on Yoko Shogenji and Hizaki Ebata’s friendship dating back to high school, the thread listed off several current Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46, and Hinatazaka46 members who were Ebata’s classmates, drawing interest in these personal ties that cross group lines. At the same time, the thread also contained posts unrelated to the main topic — off-topic political one-liners and remarks looking down on the fan base among them — and this article leaves those out, focusing only on the friendship angle and the radio-show discussion.
