Did he actually die in the line of duty? I don't think that was ever confirmed on screen

The first one was just too good, honestly. Genuinely great.
The second one rode that momentum.
Compared against those two, anything's going to get judged harshly.
Even in this new movie, the elements from 3 and FINAL were downplayed compared to the TV series and the first two films

He's actually done promo spots on morning shows like Mezamashi TV for ages
They recently rebroadcast some of his old movie promo footage on either Mezamashi or Nonstop
Does he really suit a Chinese-set role, though?
Though in 'Suikoden' (Water Margin) he definitely felt like a better fit than guys like Sorimachi or Kamenashi

Why'd they even kill off Muroi anyway? The two of them were supposed to reform the police together for this to end right
If Aoshima just ends up in Waku's spot telling the new Aoshima, 'If you want to do the right thing, climb the ranks' (The End)
then reform never actually happens — that's a nightmare loop lol
Ending on a note that hints at a future where doing the right thing is possible would've been enough
