Condor Saito
Kyoko Inoue (both real pro-wrestler names — that's the joke)

>Kyoko Saito
First time I've ever heard that name in my life. Quit making self-promo threads for talent agencies.

Her last solo show packed in about 10,000 people — wonder how many she'll pull this time.
27AnonymousOct 13, 2026 07:31
So she was there on set when Jiro and Ai Hashimoto were going at it.
28AnonymousOct 13, 2026 07:31
Does she even have fans?
Never heard of her.
29AnonymousOct 13, 2026 07:35
Kashiwagi, Yamamoto Sayaka, Takahashi Minami, Ikuta — their solo runs all flopped, didn't they?
30AnonymousOct 13, 2026 07:38
A 'one-MAN' show?
Is that even allowed?
Shouldn't it be a 'one-woman' show?
31AnonymousOct 13, 2026 07:40
I'm personally a fan of how often she goes sleeveless.
37AnonymousOct 13, 2026 07:51
Her agency seniors like Masami Nagasawa and the Kamishiraishi sisters also juggle acting and singing, so this should be good.
42AnonymousOct 13, 2026 07:56
Wasn't she in that Fuji TV detective drama that ran into some trouble…?
44AnonymousOct 13, 2026 08:01
The movie was good.

Re: #44
If you mean 'Renai Saiban' (Love Trial), that one was great — I went to see it twice.
45AnonymousOct 13, 2026 08:01
Feels like she's easily top-5 among Sakamichi OGs for TV appearances.
Sayuringo (Watanabe Sayuri)
Ikuchan (Ikuta Erika)
Maiyan (Shiraishi Mai)
Akimoto Manatsu
and then her, roughly in that order.

Yuka Kageyama and Konoka Matsuda get a ton of screen time too though.
50AnonymousOct 13, 2026 08:04
In the 'Tsuki to Hoshi' (Moon and Stars) music video she was stunningly cute.
51AnonymousOct 13, 2026 08:06
Didn't her lead movie flop hard at the box office?

Re: #33
Is she more successful than Nanase Nishino or Mai Shiraishi?

Re: #56
In terms of agency clout, Kyoko wins that one.
59AnonymousOct 13, 2026 08:09
Kyoko's been doing nothing but acting lately, but music was probably what she really wanted to do all along.
61AnonymousOct 13, 2026 08:20
I feel like she'd sell better teaming up with strong-voiced OGs from other idol groups in a 2-4 person unit rather than going solo.
Saito's vocal tone would shine more that way too.
62AnonymousOct 13, 2026 08:21
Kyoko Saito, Kumi Sasaki, Mirei Sasaki, Yuka Kageyama
Konoka Matsuda, Miho Watanabe, Akari Nibu, Suzuka Tomita
Hinatazaka OGs are seriously thriving.

If your real surname is an uncommon-kanji version of Saito or Watanabe, don't use it as your stage name — people will always get the kanji wrong.
If you really insist on keeping it, just use the simple, common forms (斎藤/渡辺).
68AnonymousOct 13, 2026 08:25
Sorry, but even back in her Hinatazaka days I never thought she was a good singer — just low-voiced.

Re: #68
Well, there's always a certain crowd who'll say even Mr. Children's Sakurai, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, or Hikaru Utada aren't good singers either.

Re: #1
She's doing breezy pop music with THAT voice, lol?

Re: #79
Listen to 'Shinjau Gurai Dakishimete' (roughly, 'Hold Me Tight Enough to Kill Me') — you can tell she can actually sing cute too.

Background and Key Points of This Topic

Solo careers launched by members of the Sakamichi Series (Nogizaka46, Keyakizaka46, Hinatazaka46) are an area where both breakout hits and early flame-outs are common, and the thread’s many comparisons reflect just how often this comes up. Kyoko Saito came up through a Keyakizaka46 spin-off group before joining Hinatazaka46, and has more recently been known mainly for acting; this announcement marks a return to music timed to her 10th anniversary in the industry. The thread split mainly over two things: how good a singer she actually is, and how big a crowd she’ll draw, with people citing her previous solo show’s reported turnout of around 10,000 as grounds for both optimism and doubt. Specifics of this new solo concert, like venue size and dates, hadn’t been revealed as of the source article, and it’s worth noting that the ‘success’ or ‘failure’ verdicts on other idols’ solo careers floated in the thread are just posters’ personal opinions, not official figures.
