  • Juice=Juice’s Ebata Hisaki Tries Bitter Senburi Tea for the First Time in Her Life on TV

A clip of Juice=Juice’s Ebata Hisaki trying senburi tea for the first time in her life during a TV variety segment was posted on X, sparking discussion on 5ch’s Hello!Project board. Senburi tea is a notoriously bitter herbal tonic long used in folk remedies, and capturing someone’s priceless facial reaction the moment they drink it has become a classic bit on reaction-based segments. Thread posts focused on Ebata’s expression, comparisons to other members who’d done similar segments in the past, and differing opinions on whether this was a punishment game or a challenge she took on herself.

Nothing beats Juice=Juice (5ch slang: "shika katan" = nothing else compares)

    Background and Discussion Points

Senburi tea is an herbal tea that’s been used as a stomach remedy since the Edo period, so intensely bitter it’s practically the poster child for the saying “good medicine tastes bitter.” On TV variety shows, its bitterness has repeatedly been used as a reliable little gag to draw out a performer’s genuine, unguarded reaction. Opinions in the thread were split on whether this challenge was a punishment game or something Ebata chose to do herself — worth noting that, absent any confirmed comment from Ebata herself, this remains speculation. Some posts also mentioned that senburi tea had come up in a different segment involving the same group before, suggesting this kind of reaction bit has recurred repeatedly within Hello! Project.

  • Morning Musume。’26’s Oda Sakura Graduation Concert Confirmed for Yokohama Arena

Breaking news hit the 5ch Hello! Project board that the venue for Morning Musume。’26’s Oda Sakura graduation concert has been set as Yokohama Arena. The thread immediately buzzed with unconfirmed reports that Juice=Juice — which also has a member set to graduate around the same time — would hold its own graduation concert at the same arena, making it a “2-day” run, though nothing about this was ever confirmed and the speculation ran well ahead of the facts. The conversation eventually drifted from the venue’s size itself to comparisons of drawing power and big-venue track records across other groups like Juice=Juice and ANGERME, spiraling into arguments about the pecking order between Hello! Project groups and heated exchanges between fanbases.

At this rate, if there's ever a Hello! Project show at K Arena (Yokohama's newer, even bigger arena), Juice=Juice would be the only group with the drawing power to pull it off.

Though that would upend the group pecking order, so a K Arena show probably won't happen at all.

    Re: #100
Maybe they figured there'd be a separate big-venue show apart from the tour finale?

    Background and Talking Points

In Hello! Project fandom, the scale of a graduation concert venue is often treated as a direct measure of a group’s or member’s “rank,” and the pecking order among venues like Budokan, Yokohama Arena, and Pacifico Yokohama is a constant topic of fan debate. This time, with Juice=Juice’s tour finale already locked in at Pia Arena MM and apparently without any additional shows planned, frustration surfaced over the fact that Morning Musume。’26 — a group with comparable drawing power — secured Yokohama Arena while Juice=Juice reportedly can’t land a big-venue show of its own. The claim posted in the thread that “Danbara’s graduation concert will also be at Yokohama Arena, making it a 2-day event” came from a poster claiming insider knowledge, but it remains unverified, and other posters responded with skepticism. Arguments over relative drawing power and “rank” between groups are a long-simmering fixture of Hello! Project fan discourse, and this venue announcement reignited that debate once again.

  • ANGERME’s full-group outings have plummeted — 5ch: “Takeuchi’s departure seems to be a big deal”

A thread about Hello! Project idol group ANGERME lit up over the observation that “the members don’t all go out together anymore.” The group was once known for outings where the whole lineup would head to the beach, USJ, or Disney together, but with the graduations of core members like Takeuchi, Kamikoku (Kamiko), and Kawamura (Kawamu), some suggested there’s no one left to organize such plans. Thread posters were split on whether the group’s current senior members — Ise, Hashisako, Kawana, and Tamenaga — could fill that role.

Background and Key Points of This Topic

ANGERME is a Hello! Project girl group, and graduated members like Takeuchi, Kamikoku, and Kawamura have a history of frequently sharing posts about inviting members out on private outings. It’s worth noting that whether or not the group still goes on “full-group outings” is only knowable to fans through what gets shared on social media or in magazines — anything happening off the record simply can’t be confirmed. While several posters pointed out that it was the graduated members who used to organize these plans, there’s little solid basis for declaring the current members’ relationships good or bad, and the discussion mostly centered on speculation tied to scheduling skills and theories about leadership.

    What are you, Trump?

    Background and Talking Points

This ranking comes from a web survey run by a ranking/entertainment site — it is not an official Nogizaka46 announcement. The respondents’ age range and other attributes weren’t disclosed, and even the #1 pick only drew 145 votes out of 1,413 respondents, suggesting the result may skew toward a vocal slice of dedicated fans rather than reflect broad consensus. Debate in the thread centered on the “all-time” framing: a result weighted toward graduated members rather than those active in 2026 fueled questions about the selection criteria. Discussion also circled back to reports from a few years ago about Shiraishi’s relationship with Kikuchi; since nothing has been made public since, it’s worth noting this remains unconfirmed rumor rather than established fact.

  • Tsubaki Factory’s New Single Direction Sparks Debate — 5ch Fans: ‘Stop With the Dumb Songs Just to Go Viral’

On the Hello! Project board, opinions clashed over the direction of Tsubaki Factory’s new single. It started with a post saying: “Tsubaki can just be the group that puts out great songs even if they don’t sell — please stop releasing dumb songs aimed at going viral.” The group has previously put out songs aimed at TikTok virality, like “Mousou Furifuri,” choreographed by Sako Makita, and their new song “Aiueon,” written by Hyadain, was seen as following the same pattern. The thread split between those who said “they don’t need to go viral” and those who argued “chasing virality is part of what makes Hello! Project what it is,” with comparisons drawn to the currently thriving Juice=Juice, and some pointing out jealousy lurking behind the criticism.

Even after suppressing the wish that they'd joined Juice=Juice, that lingering feeling of still wanting to be as successful as Juice=Juice — it's just plain pitiful to watch.

Aiueon? Don't tell me that's another song made just to chase virality.
Fine, forget going viral then — just get Zakiyama and Kouga to write us a blush-inducing song.
A messy affair number like "Konnyaku" or "The Swede" would work too (likely nods to past Hello! Project song titles).
    27AnonymousSep 5, 2026 14:57
Tsubaki's the group with the most messy two-timing songs and vapid, all-vibes-no-substance tracks.

Whether it actually goes viral or not aside, just looking at Hyadain's lyrics and melody for this new song, it doesn't feel all that different from a cheap song made purely to go viral.

It's over the moment members and fans alike turn cynical and start acting all too-cool-for-it.
That's exactly what's happening with Angerme right now, and it's how the original-lineup Juice=Juice fans used to be too.

Juice=Juice's current success isn't luck at all — it's the fruit of hard work and real ability, and without the attitude to learn from that, you won't sell.
Though some members are trying to learn.
    33AnonymousSep 5, 2026 15:00
Bombing so spectacularly with "Mousou Furifuri" must really still sting.
Hearing "Aiueon" is bound to bring it right back, whether you want it to or not.

Which song is even the "dumb song made to go viral" one?
    35AnonymousSep 5, 2026 15:01
For "Mousou Furifuri" they had Makita do the choreography and, at every release event, begged the otaku to learn the dance and spread it around — wasn't that literally aimed at going viral?
That song was also the first in Hello! Project to get daily TikTok posts.
    36AnonymousSep 5, 2026 15:05
Morning Musume sold well with dumb songs, and that's the reason Hello! Project exists today.
    37AnonymousSep 5, 2026 15:08

I think the cleanest move would be to hand "Aiueon" off to Beyooooonds' new members and get "Utterly Ridiculous" in return, but a digital-only release for just that one track feels kind of thin…

    57AnonymousSep 5, 2026 15:47
"Aiueo" barely has any solo parts, and the chorus is just an AI-unison vocal — it doesn't feel like Tsubaki at all.

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

Tsubaki Factory has previously released buzz-oriented songs like “Mousou Furifuri,” choreographed by Sako Makita and aimed at spreading on TikTok, but the gimmick never quite caught on. Meanwhile, fellow Hello! Project group Juice=Juice has been standing out with its recent success, and underlying the thread is the temperature gap between these two groups. The debate splits broadly into two points. One is over production philosophy — quality songs versus chasing virality — with some pointing to Morning Musume’s past success built on “dumb songs” as proof that going for virality can’t simply be dismissed outright. The other is the suggestion that the criticism is really jealousy toward Juice=Juice in disguise, making fan psychology itself a subject of debate. What readers might easily misunderstand is that the new song “Aiueon” hasn’t actually been judged yet — the opinions are all speculation based only on the lyrics and melody ahead of its release.

  • Who Are Hello! Project’s 10 Most Important Figures? 5ch Debate Rages Over Ai Takahashi

The Hello! Project board on 5ch lit up in response to a prompt: “Pick the 10 members who played the most important role in Hello! Project’s history.” Nearly everyone agreed on the founding-era members — Yuko Nakazawa, Natsumi Abe, Maki Goto — as automatic locks, but the fiercest fight was over one of the remaining slots: Ai Takahashi. Voices calling her an unremovable pick (“if she’s not on the list, the whole thing’s pointless”) clashed head-on with those who dismissed her contribution (“she didn’t do anything”). Support also ran strong for Ruru Danbara as “the symbol of Hello! Project’s revival,” laying bare just how much selection criteria differ across generations of fans.

Background and key points of this discussion

Since Morning Musume’s formation in 1997, Hello! Project has kept reshaping itself through new members, graduations, scandals, and slumps. The thread was nearly unanimous in treating early members like Yuko Nakazawa, Natsumi Abe, and Maki Goto as the group’s “foundation.” Where opinions split was over how to treat Ai Takahashi: some backed her as “the root of Hello! Project’s current direction,” while others dismissed her as having “done nothing” — a divide that came down less to who has the most visible track record and more to how you weigh someone’s role in holding the organization together. The strong support for Ruru Danbara reflects a recent reappraisal following the group’s slump years. Which faces make the cut shifts depending on whether “importance” is measured by track record, symbolic weight, or longevity — a familiar pattern in this kind of member-ranking debate.

  • Retired Idols ‘We Want to See Them Again’ — Momoe Yamaguchi, Junko Sakurada, Candies Named

A thread titled ‘Which retired idols do you wish would come back into the spotlight?’ popped up on 5ch’s Hello! Project board, and names came pouring in — Momoe Yamaguchi, Junko Sakurada, Candies, Akina Nakamori, Agnes Lum, and other idols who were active from the Showa through Heisei eras. One comment noted that the idol who sang the theme song for ‘Tadaima Houkago’ has actually already passed away. Meanwhile, Momoe Yamaguchi drew some pushback too, with one poster writing ‘I don’t want to see her,’ leaving opinions split over who fans actually want back.

    Background and Talking Points

Momoe Yamaguchi is famous for having barely appeared in public since her sudden retirement in 1980, and she’s often cited as one of the rare examples in the entertainment industry of someone who stuck to a truly ‘complete retirement.’ Candies is remembered in a similar way — after disbanding, the members never reunited for a comeback on the public stage. That said, commenters in the thread pointed out things like ‘Akina’s still around, isn’t she’ and ‘Vivian was on the 24-hour TV thing recently too,’ and it’s easy to overlook that some of the names being raised actually still appear on TV regularly. In other words, ‘retired’ is often being used based on the last impression each poster has of someone rather than their actual current activity — and that gap is part of what makes the thread’s discussion so entertaining.

  • Morning Musume’s Akisa Sugihara Sparks Buzz as ‘The First Kansai Member Fans Don’t Find Grating’

A thread on 5channel’s Hello! Project board asked whether Morning Musume trainee-turned-member Akisa Sugihara (nicknamed “Mesa”) might be “the first Kansai-native member in the group’s history that fans don’t find off-putting.” Posters compared her to past Kansai-born members like Yuko Nakazawa, Ai Kago, Aika Mitsui, Harumi Ogata, and Haruka Inoue. Many praised her easygoing friendliness — she told her juniors to just call her “Mesa” — and how she makes sure to give equal attention to all four of her fellow 18th-generation members. Others pushed back, calling her “too familiar” or saying she’s “just quiet for a Kansai person,” so opinions were split.

Really? Something about her just doesn't sit right with me
Maybe it's because I'm from Kanto

    Background and points of discussion

Morning Musume has had a long line of Kansai-born members over the years — Yuko Nakazawa, Ai Kago, Aika Mitsui, Harumi Ogata, Haruka Inoue, and others — and fans have come to associate the group’s “Kansai girl” image with an outgoing, overly familiar personality. This thread frames Akisa Sugihara’s calmer demeanor against that backdrop as “the first one who doesn’t trigger that reaction” — but that’s just one segment of fans’ subjective impression, not something Sugihara herself has claimed. Even within the thread, dissenting voices called her “too familiar” or said she’s “just quiet for a Kansai person,” so there’s no consensus. The anecdote about her telling junior members Moa Suzuki and Karin Ishikawa to just call her “Mesa” can also be read as an example of the dynamic between fellow 18th-generation members who joined via different tracks — trainee versus general recruitment.

※This article is excerpted and summarized from the 5channel (Hello! Project) thread “Isn’t Akisa Sugihara the first Kansai person in Morning Musume history who doesn’t trigger that annoyance — Yuko Nakazawa, Ai Kago, Aika Mitsui, Harumi Ogata, Haruka Inoue.”

  • ANGERME’s Hana Goto Lands Solo TV Spot Thanks to Her Crayon Shin-chan Love — 5ch: “She’s the Ace”

It’s been revealed that ANGERME’s Hana Goto will make a solo appearance on the September 18 broadcast of “Buzzman TV.” The episode also brings on Sho Hasumi of Dow90000 as a guest — writing the “Crayon Shin-chan” script marks his first time doing so — for a segment recounting the behind-the-scenes story of how his first draft, a dialogue scene between Misae and Hiroshi, came together. Goto, well known for loving Crayon Shin-chan, was brought in to match the theme. On 5ch’s Hello! Project board, reactions were split: some welcomed the news, calling Goto — who appears to have chosen this solo gig over group duties — “the ace,” while others complained that “all members should get equal screen time” and to “stop pushing her so hard.”

Dow90000’s Sho Hasumi Writes His First “Crayon Shin-chan” Script — First Draft a Misae-and-Hiroshi Dialogue Scene, Behind-the-Scenes Revealed on “Buzzman TV”

On the September 18 (Friday) broadcast of “Buzzman TV,” Hasumi and self-declared Crayon Shin-chan superfan idol Hana Goto (ANGERME) join as guests for an in-depth look at how this dream collaboration came together.

Wait, she skipped Hello! Project concerts and the bus tour to film this?
    8AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:14
Juice=Juice members usually show up in groups, but ANGERME members tend to go solo a lot.
    9AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:15
Her bangs are blunt-cut here, so this must've been filmed pretty recently.
    11AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:15
Being in ANGERME makes you sick.
Being in ANGERME makes you miserable.
    TV's fun though.
    14AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:20
So this is the job she skipped the live bus tour for.
    16AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:21
Back when she had blunt bangs!?
    Wait, what?
So she says no to ANGERME work but yes to TV work lol
    18AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:21
Hanana's the only one who can go toe-to-toe with Juice=Juice.
    20AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:23
I mean, a solo TV gig obviously beats some throwaway Lucky Fes slot.
    22AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:23
Wonder if she'll even be able to make the fall tour after this…
    23AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:23
    Guess they've split into a media-appearances role and a regional-grind-tour role.
    24AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:23
    See?
    Told you Hanana's ANGERME's ace.
    25AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:23
I don't recall Hana-chan ever mentioning she liked Crayon Shin-chan.
    26AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:24
As long as the job doesn't require memorizing choreography, she can pull it off.
    27AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:24
    MC: Masakazu Mimura (Sama・azu), Yasuko
    30AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:27
She skips the bus tour but shows up for TV?
Maybe there's a member she doesn't want to be around.
    32AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:29
She's the type who wears synthetic-leather gloves even at EGZE handshake events, so no surprise there.
    33AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:29
I wish she'd realize she's already one of the lucky ones among current Hello! Project members outside Juice=Juice.
My oshi will probably graduate without ever landing a job like this.
    35AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:30
Why doesn't she just quit ANGERME and transfer to Just Pro already?
    36AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:32
Well, her looks are strong enough that she doesn't feel out of place on network TV.
The real problem is the ANGERME box that can't put her to proper use.
    37AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:33
ANGERME fans in general are happy, but the ones with pride in the group are furious,
saying all members should get equal opportunities.
    40AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:34
Skipping recent group work for jobs like this —
even ANGERME fans can't be thrilled about that.
    41AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:35
Is it actually well known that she likes Crayon Shin-chan?
    42AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:35
    Goto: TV
    Other members: concerts and events

    That works fine, doesn't it?
    43AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:35
In the end, solo TV spots are probably reserved for the Morning Musume/ANGERME tier (Hello! Project's flagship groups).
    45AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:37
Even here, you can see Juice=Juice's influence rubbing off.
    46AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:38
She's said before that she likes Crayon Shin-chan, so a job like this coming her way isn't that surprising.
Past Hello! Project members have landed manga/anime gigs tied to stuff they said they liked, too.
    49AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:42
Her blunt bangs must've gotten good reception, so the offer rolled in.
    51AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:43

    52AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:44
    Juice=Juice fans crying lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
    53AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:46
The best cure for "wanting to be in Morning Musume" syndrome is giving them outside work, just like they did with Kawashima.
    55AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:48
    As expected of the ace.
Other members should take a page from the ace's hustle.
    56AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:48
So it turns out both Goto and Hirayama can take individual jobs they actually want to do.
    57AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:49
Hope Kawashima gets to go solo like this soon too.
    61AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:50

    Kawashima's on a late-night show, isn't she?

Ebamifu's "Sabishii Nettaigyo" ("Lonely Tropical Fish") gig is like a hundred times more substantial work than that.
    65AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:51
She was supposed to be singing Tsunku's songs in Morning Musume while also crushing it with outside work, but…
    Way to blow it, Up-Front.
    67AnonymousSep 5, 2026 09:54
    Re: #65
They probably needed someone who could be ANGERME's center after Rika and Miko graduated.
And yet they're not using Goto at all — what's the deal with that?

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

Sho Hasumi, known as the resident playwright of Dow90000, is a playwright and actor, and writing the “Crayon Shin-chan” script marks his first time working in the format. Goto was invited onto the show as part of a segment covering that behind-the-scenes process. The backdrop here is that within Hello! Project, Juice=Juice members have increasingly been the ones tapped for solo TV spots in recent years, which is part of why fans took notice when ANGERME’s Goto got the call this time. Thread opinion is split between those who see the casting as proof of her status as the group’s “ace” and those frustrated by what they view as an unequal distribution of work within the group. It’s also worth flagging that while some posts claim Goto skipped tour dates and concerts to film this, the source article itself gives no confirmation of how her TV appearance was actually coordinated with the group’s schedule.

  • Juice=Juice’s “Unbelievable Year”: TV Exposure Surges, But Fans Scream Over the Ticket Wars

Hello! Project’s Juice=Juice has been racking up so much exposure — thanks to a surge in TV and festival appearances — that it’s being called “the most fun year of my Hello! Project fan life.” On 5ch’s Hello! Project board, comments celebrating the excitement sit alongside a flood of complaints from fans who can’t get into shows because ticket odds have gotten brutal. In the thread, opinions welcoming the rising exposure as a sign of the group’s growth clash with critics who say the buzz has outpaced their actual skill, and commenters are divided over whether their singing ability truly matches their level of exposure.

Only the NEETs are happy about it.
    18AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:01
Getting to see them more on TV and at festivals is fun, but not being able to get tickets is sad, not fun.
On that front I'm mad at the agency for booking such tiny venues.
    19AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:03
The agency's just conservative with its attendance estimates.
    20AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:07
The ones who are totally deflated are just a handful of self-styled old-school fans acting superior — hurry up and leave already.

    Which means next year is…

Man, a lot of people really want to compare this to Wanfor.
That was just the agency force-feeding them — they didn't even have a signature song.
Juice=Juice actually gets invited to music shows more.
    22AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:14
People who aren't even real fans are just feeling smug about jumping on the winning horse.
What a hollow way to live lol
    25AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:17
These days, some uneducated middle-aged shut-in still living with his parents who's grateful just to see terrestrial TV appearances isn't a fan of anything.

    Re: #25
I've wondered the same thing — is TV really that great?
For a 1-2 hour show, their screen time is pretty short.
And waiting around the whole time just for that segment is a bad use of time.
If that's the case, I'd rather just watch YouTube, where they're on screen the whole time.
Though I guess that's part of why young people are drifting away from TV these days.
    26AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:18
Even at Wanfor's level of exposure, the audition quality went up, so I'm looking forward to the next one.

Wow, Gavan, that takes me back.
I still remember the lyrics lol
    30AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:22
They'll probably give them proper-sized venues starting with the spring tour.
    32AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:25
    Re: #30
I had high hopes for the autumn tour too.
Opened it up and was shocked at how lame the tour was — pretty disappointing.
    Mine's only Kyoto too.
    31AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:23
I'm happy because the members themselves are happy.
    39AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:38
Is TV really that great? Their screen time is short.
Wouldn't YouTube be better in that case?
Even on New Year's Eve, wouldn't it be better to do a countdown concert instead of Kohaku and watch them live, so you could have a year-end party with fellow fans too?
These days, just getting on TV for anything isn't automatically a good thing.
    47AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:42
    Re: #39
    Exactly that.
Morning Musume and Angerme deliberately skip TV appearances and focus instead on tours, festival appearances, and TikTok.
    42AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:41
Fans who make it all about themselves aren't real fans.
Normally you'd just be happy seeing the members looking happy with tears in their eyes, right?

    Re: #42
    Shut up, armchair fan.
    43AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:41
Saying 'it's best when the members look happiest' is a bit of a strange take.
Even at a shop, you wouldn't say it's best when the staff is happier than the customers, right?
    49AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:42
    Re: #43
    You're off base.
Comparing this to some random shop clerk you don't even know doesn't make sense.
    46AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:42
Being a fan of anyone besides Rei, Ruru, Eba, or Mifu isn't much fun.

And the music shows have lost their freshness and gone stale.

No need to rush, no need to rush.

    Re: #46
    That's exactly it.
Music shows are just stale at this point, so it's almost better not to appear on them.
The agency probably knows this, which is why it seems to be dumping all its TV slots onto Juice=Juice on purpose.
    58AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:50

    60AnonymousSep 5, 2026 08:55
It might feel good now, but the backlash phase is definitely coming.
I think the members will end up feeling sad when that happens.

Think of how many groups never break through.

    Re: #60
    That's exactly it.
As a BEYOOOOONDS fan myself I'm not quite there yet, but I bet Morning Musume and Angerme fans are pretty furious.
Ignoring the group hierarchy in the first place is just not okay.

Background and Key Points of This Discussion

Hello! Project has long carried an unspoken culture of “a hierarchy topped by Morning Musume,” which creates fertile ground for pushback whenever a group like Juice=Juice suddenly grabs a concentrated share of TV slots and attention — even as fans celebrate the group’s rising exposure. “CANDY TUNE,” mentioned in the thread, is another Hello! Project unit that has likewise seen its exposure rapidly increase, and the “forced-push” criticism — over whether skill is keeping pace with growing exposure — is a debate that recurs across all of Hello! Project. The back-and-forth over comparative singing ability is part of that same context, closer to an annual in-house squabble than a one-off attack. What readers may easily misread is that the frustration over not getting tickets isn’t about “unpopularity” — quite the opposite: it stems from attendance surging faster than the agency’s venue-size planning could keep up, a point some commenters in the thread make themselves.
