The Time a Showbiz Veteran Exploded at Him: 5ch Lights Up Over “Who the Hell Are You?!”

The story

Comedian Abareru-kun (40) revealed an episode in which he was genuinely scolded by a showbiz veteran during the filming of TBS’s “Ariyoshi Talk Kingdom.” During a taping where he sat lined up alongside Nicole Fujita and the veteran, the veteran suddenly snapped, “Who do you think you are? You little punk!” Neither Abareru-kun nor the article has revealed the veteran’s name. On 5ch, users have been trading theories based on fragmentary clues like a squeaky hammer prop and the seating order, floating names such as Tomio Umezawa, Beat Takeshi, and Cream Stew’s Shinya Ueda, while others questioned whether the “fury” was genuine or just a staged bit.

Abareru-kun’s Past Run-In With a Furious Veteran: “Who Do You Think You Are? You Little Punk!” Over a Tone-Deaf Remark

Comedian Abareru-kun (40) appeared on TBS’s “Ariyoshi Talk Kingdom: Ariyoshi vs. 20 Comedians — Win Prize Money if You’re Funny, Pay a Fine if You Flop” (airing Wednesdays at 9:58 PM), which aired on the 4th, and shared a moment where a veteran blew up on set.

When the topic turned to “times you got genuinely yelled at as an adult,” Abareru-kun began recounting the taping: “There was a lineup with a veteran performer, a young, lively female talent next to him, and then me.”

Tomio Umezawa?

Re: #2
He gets along well with Nicole, so I doubt it's him… though maybe things weren't so great between them at first?
5AnonymousNov 4, 2026 22:54
Was Nicole really that bubbly? (キャピキャピ, "kyapi-kyapi" — slang for a girlishly perky, giggly vibe)

Re: #5
At first she was all sickly-sweet and a bit much, but lately she doesn't seem to bother hiding her moods.
6AnonymousNov 4, 2026 22:55
If his name were "Tomizawa Umeo" I'd totally buy it (a jumbled mashup of Umezawa Tomio's actual name)

Re: #6
Isn't it "Umezawa Kunio"?
46AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:31
Re: #6
Umezawa is Nicole's dad, though.

Doppo Orochi? (the martial-arts master from the manga/anime "Baki")
But Doppo's wife isn't exactly what you'd call young and lively…
13AnonymousNov 4, 2026 22:58
From the thread title I thought it might be "Chinsuke" (a nickname, possibly for a different entertainer), but since his co-star is Nicole, that doesn't fit.
17AnonymousNov 4, 2026 22:59
Never knew he had a signature line like that.

Re: #1
It's not in this article, but on the show he apparently said he got smacked with a squeaky hammer, so it's probably Beat Takeshi.
30AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:08
Re: #22
Good thing it wasn't a real katana.
36AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:12
Re: #22
He's not the host — Abareru-kun said they were sitting side by side, so it can't be Takeshi doing commentary from the sidelines.

Re: #22
Hmm, that sounds like a Takeshi-style bit, but would he really snap back with "Who do you think you are, you little punk"?
Then again, nobody but Takeshi carries around a squeaky hammer…
Maybe Abareru-kun is just exaggerating the story.
25AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:04
It's probably all scripted, right?
If it got too dicey they'd just cut it — there's a lot of scrutiny on this stuff these days.
27AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:06
Mr. Staged-Bit, who's never once actually gone wild.
28AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:06
Abareru-kun is only 40?
He must've hit it big young.
Wasn't his act a ripoff of Gekidan Hitori's?
31AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:10
The hint that he's been working with Nicole for a long time gave it away — the answer is Cream Stew's Ueda.
And of course this wasn't a real blowup, just a "play-along" fake-out retort (noritsukkomi).
34AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:11
Maybe someone like Ken Takakura?
49AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:34
Re: #34
Just the image of Ken Takakura sitting on the sidelines holding a squeaky hammer would be funny enough on its own.
68AnonymousNov 5, 2026 00:31
Re: #34
I don't think so, personally.
39AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:17
Maybe Tomisaburo Wakayama?
61AnonymousNov 5, 2026 00:11
Re: #39
Yanagizawa~ (callback to a comedy bit/catchphrase)
41AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:19
Abareru-kun has a catchphrase? Never seen it.
44AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:26
Nicole is one of Umezawa Tomio's favorites, so he wouldn't be cold toward her.
45AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:28
I wonder who it is.
Someone who hosts shows probably wouldn't get mad over something like that —
I'd guess it's some veteran who's all bark, all years, no real authority left.
50AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:35
I'm guessing he's probably passed away by now — who could it be? lol
51AnonymousNov 4, 2026 23:35
Hurry up and go wild already — you're not living up to your name at all.
63AnonymousNov 5, 2026 00:12
Re: #51
Ah, Mr. Staged-Bit again — "script, please."
60AnonymousNov 5, 2026 00:10
Umezawa Tomio is from Fukushima, same as Abareru-kun, so I wonder if that's relevant.
72AnonymousNov 5, 2026 00:44
He probably wasn't even that mad — was it "HG levels" of furious? (HG, the comedian famous for his over-the-top persona)

Background and Key Points of the Discussion

“Ariyoshi Talk Kingdom” is a variety show with a win-prize-money-or-pay-a-fine format, and episodes where a guest reveals they were “genuinely yelled at” during filming have become a familiar bit, typically told without naming the person involved. In this case too, neither the article nor Abareru-kun himself named the veteran, so the thread’s theorizing is based purely on circumstantial clues — his co-star being Nicole Fujita, what sounds like a squeaky hammer prop, and the seating order — rather than anything confirmed. Discussion split mainly into two points: who the veteran actually is, and whether the anger was even real, with several users suggesting it might have been scripted or a “play-along” fake blowup (noritsukkomi). One thing readers should keep in mind: names like Tomio Umezawa and Beat Takeshi that came up in the thread are purely audience speculation — neither the show nor Abareru-kun ever confirmed them.
