Watching Osaka night-view videos on YouTube is way more fun than watching that "Peace-kun" critter from Omiya Park anyway.
3AnonymousNov 4, 2026 12:52
Speaking for the whole entertainment/sports board, I'm team Hezuma.
5AnonymousNov 4, 2026 12:54
Lame.
About as lame as that Maekawa vs. Nakamura thing.
6AnonymousNov 4, 2026 12:55
If he's going public with it, he's probably about to launch a crowdfunding campaign.
20AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:05
Re: #6
There's already been an offer to settle, and he turned it down.
16AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:01
Yoneyama, the guy who lost his election seat, running centrist…
Wait, is he actually pulling in ¥400,000 a month funded by taxpayer money?
17AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:01
A "super famous person," and it's Yoneyama?
What's super famous about him, that's pathetic.
19AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:04
Hezuma's lawyer is Fukunaga, right?
That's a guaranteed loss then.
22AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:08
Hard to say, honestly.
If the court decides Yoneyama himself has a track record of nonstop hate speech, that raises the bar for how much he's expected to tolerate (a legal "limit of tolerance" standard).

Re: #1
The sorry endpoint of a publicity stunt.
Such is the emptiness of chasing fame through TV and the seedier end of show business.
24AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:10
The reply section is wild.
Multiple people genuinely seem to think Yoneyama — who holds both a medical license and a law license — is currently unemployed.
They're grown adults, so it's baffling.

Re: #24
No idea what the real situation is, but if all he's doing now is campaigning for the next election,
then even holding a medical license and a law license doesn't mean much — if he's not affiliated with a clinic or law firm and actually working (and getting paid) as one, it's basically the same as being unemployed.
81AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:55
Re: #24
Is he actually practicing medicine or law, though?
25AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:11
Nothing is more boring than a defamation suit between two politicians.
Yoneyama should drop it too — the only one who profits is the lawyer.
31AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:14
Re: #25
Hezuma's also sued Nara city councilor Kakimoto, you know.
35AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:17
Re: #25
Is this even defamation? lol
Yoneyama's a lawyer himself lol
Even after Hiroyuki laid out fact after fact against him and he never budged, now he's suing over this? lol
What did Hezuma even do? lmao
26AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:11
Re: #1
So what? lol
Quit announcing every little thing lol
It's between you and Yoneyama lol
What a creepy guy lol
27AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:11
If Hezuma weren't a public official, what he does would be no different from a nuisance streamer.
30AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:13
Yoneyama vs. Fukunaga, huh.
Now that's an interesting matchup lol
36AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:17
These guys really have way too much free time.
Even that conservative party, whatever it's called, is basically all defamation-lawsuit talk lately too.
If you're a politician, go do politics.
39AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:22
Re: #35
What Hiroyuki did was commentary.
What Hezuma did is spreading falsehoods.

Completely different things.
46AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:26
Re: #39
Oh really? lol
I don't know the details of this lawsuit so I can't say for sure, lol
But with a lawyer as the plaintiff, the odds look pretty rough for Hezuma lmao
41AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:22
Already tired of the Nara deer bit? (a reference to Hezuma's infamous deer-kicking incident)
42AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:24
What do you mean "super famous"…
Stop telling such lame lies.
43AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:24
He's a politician, so he can afford to pay that much.
47AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:28
Re: #1
52AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:32
Setting the eventual award aside, a ¥4 million claim isn't especially high.
63AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:40
Did something actually happen between Hezuma and Yoneyama?
71AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:45
Re: #63
In terms of political stances, lol
Yoneyama's pro-immigration lol
Hezuma's firmly anti-China lol
That's about all I can come up with lmao
70AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:45
This must be it.
76AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:52
Maybe it's about him sharing around "Yone-chan's" (a nickname for Yoneyama) snow-shoveling video?
77AnonymousNov 4, 2026 13:54
Re: #76
That one had me laughing.
Guess Hezuma actually does work sometimes.

Background and Key Points of This Story

At the center of this thread is a lawsuit reportedly filed by politician Ryuhei Yoneyama against Hezuma Ryu, with damages reportedly claimed at around 4 million yen. In Japanese defamation suits, the amount claimed is often set lower than what’s likely to actually be awarded, and some posters in the thread noted that 4 million yen itself isn’t particularly high. Meanwhile, opinions in the thread were divided over whether the suit’s basis is defamation or the spreading of false claims, and nothing on that point has been confirmed as fact. It’s also worth noting that while Yoneyama holds both medical and legal qualifications, some users appeared to confuse holding those credentials with actually working in either field at present — a distinction worth keeping in mind.
