The story
A string of people reported feeling ill over the “chilled crab ramen” Komeo sold at the Azabu-Juban Festival. Reports say roughly 40 servings were provided on the 22nd and about 500 on the 23rd; on 5ch, threads circulated citing his own post that rain canceled the event and left 700 servings unsold, alongside suspicions that ingredients had been reused or undercooked.

Komeo, the “fighting cook” known for numerous appearances in “Breaking Down,” updated his official X (formerly Twitter) account on the 27th, issuing a statement about reports of people falling ill after consuming items sold at the “Azabu-Juban Festival,” held August 22–23.
Komeo wrote: “To everyone who has fallen ill over this, and to everyone who has been worried, I’m truly sorry for the concern this has caused. At this point the cause is still unknown, but we are currently cooperating with an investigation together with the public health center and the Azabu-Juban association.”

What people said
The Azabu-Juban Festival got rained out, and 700 servings went unsold.
Hope the weather's good tomorrow…
Whoa… wait, is this for real?
Well, there's your confession.
Never had it.
Worth trying?
No joke, it's bad.
The crab-miso ramen at Club Gang in Susukino is genuinely great.
I once had ramen with crab still in the shell — a real pain to eat.
By the time you peel it the noodles go soggy, your hands get sticky, it's a hassle all around.
And the crab flavor barely even came through.
Se-me-te se-me-te se-me-te se-me-te (riffing on the chant's rhythm — "semete" also means "at least")
Why isn't he saying it? Once it comes out that he reused it, you're finished, buddy.
Food poisoning from a two-day festival, lol
What did you even do, lol
He reused ingredients that had sat out at room temperature the day before.
According to Komeo, heating it through apparently makes it safe.
I'd love to know how big his fridge actually is.
Getting through a summer day with just a styrofoam cooler, ice packs, and ice is rough enough as it is.
The answer's staring right at us — it's food poisoning

> At the festival, a restaurant within the ward served "chilled crab ramen." According to the health center, about 40 servings were provided on the 22nd and roughly 500 on the 23rd.
The scary part is there's still leftovers.
And wait, it's served chilled?
If it's not being heated, that's a breeding ground for Vibrio parahaemolyticus.
It's crab ramen, so the crab spoils fast.
There's no way 700 servings all fit in a fridge, so there's a good chance it went bad.
I once saw a video from a hoarder-house cleanup crew.
They said crab is the worst-smelling thing they ever deal with.
"Quick to leave a trail" is basically a criminal's problem.
Might still happen, though.
It's chilled ramen with crab in it — so the crab's basically raw, isn't it.
Even crab that's already been cooked can get recontaminated and the bacteria multiply like crazy — that's a common cause of summer food poisoning.
That's exactly why they say never let frozen pre-boiled crab thaw naturally.
Saint Seiya much?
** We've officially entered "Kadoruto" territory now ** (an obscure slang/meme term — possibly a garbled riff on "occult"; meaning unclear)
