Any team that signs him after he snubbed NPB like that would be out of its mind.

Pretty sure he didn't throw that many even back in his Marines days.
He actually gets better run support and defense than Yamamoto or Ohtani do. He just doesn't rack up wins because he doesn't pitch deep into games.
Though part of that's because those teams don't have anyone to replace them with.
