So cheeeap!

Stock's tanking, lol
Guess everyone already knows it won't sell

Uh, it's up though?
Got a source, or is that just in your head?

If you want a big screen, a tablet just makes more sense

When are we getting a phone that just projects an image floating in mid-air?
30Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:15:11.98ID:wDVCTdt10
>>28
Forget that, I want a computer that beams the image straight into my head, no eyes needed

The day's coming when holograms fly spaceships and perform surgery

It won't be totally empty space, but NHK's research labs are already building holographic displays smaller than before
Hopefully it's ready by like Virtua Fighter 10

If they put out some Android-tier monstrosity like this, Jobs is gonna rise from the grave

The 'Bald Notch' iPhone was already a bizarre design itself (jab combining 'bald' — likely aimed at Tim Cook — with the iPhone's notch)

Huawei's got a foldable that doesn't shrink the screen for videos and manga — it stays full-size. They're releasing it as a 16:9 phone, and honestly this 16:9 approach beats Apple's.

On phones, Huawei really does feel like they're ahead of the game

Out of ideas, so they're just copying Samsung
Who cares if it folds
Lame

>>44
Apple hasn't put out anything decent since Jobs died… they're just a company coasting on his legacy at this point
45Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:21:25.01ID:ufqdhNzT0
They should've realized way earlier that leaving the display fully exposed was a bad call
58Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:27:28.23ID:26zpXNLW0
>>45
You can just throw a book-style cover on it though
Plenty of people already do that, right?
46Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:22:59.85ID:0tv02U310
Would Jobs even call this beautiful?

The man said even phone cases were annoying clutter — anything that's not sleek and minimal is a non-starter for him, let alone something this bulky
Is Apple heading downhill again…
51Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:25:08.29ID:Ue2rMMV80
A book-fold is already old news, so maybe they'll just go straight to a quad-fold
I'm kind of serious

Is there really demand for a folding iPhone? Isn't the iPad what actually needs this?
If the iPad could fold, it'd fit in a small bag — now that would actually be convenient.

Between iPhone and iPad, Apple ships way, way more iPhones, so that's where the priority is
91Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:52:33.89ID:0DYmYUZJ0
>>52
Unfold it and it basically becomes an iPad mini, right?
109Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 10:08:13.04ID:R3eNF7wm0
>>52
Pretty sure it's just going to turn into a mad scramble to get one
54Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:26:19.50ID:aG9D1vj90
The vertical-fold one seems fine, but I can't picture what the horizontal-fold one is actually for
59Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:28:20.20ID:wDVCTdt10
>>54
Fold it vertically and Tetris or other falling-block games would be great. Fold it horizontally and it's perfect for reading, like a Kindle.
110Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 10:09:42.91ID:R3eNF7wm0
>>54
The vertical-fold ones are seriously unpopular, basically dead in the water at this point

Tablets are honestly a pretty niche, in-between product now, squeezed between laptops and phones with bigger screens. They might just fade away eventually.
114Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 10:10:59.61ID:HmzNQPHy0
>>65
That's what you'd think
I thought the same, but once I bought one, there's not a day I don't use it
66Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:33:05.71ID:5cD7cEGG0
A foldable phone will change your life, seriously
Ridiculously convenient. Feels like carrying a mini laptop!

Tried out Samsung's and yeah, it actually felt pretty good
Just heavy and pricey lol
75Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:43:50.35ID:5feufjXW0
So the old flip phone was right all along
78Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:45:48.03ID:wDVCTdt10
>>75
Back then it wasn't two screens, just one screen plus buttons, so it wasn't that pricey. Two screens basically means double the phone. You'd need Nintendo DS-level mass production to bring costs down.
77Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:45:06.90ID:HqiekZAW0
Unfold it and all you get is a bigger rectangle — videos won't actually display much bigger, so it's money down the drain
112Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 10:10:31.33ID:R3eNF7wm0
>>77
The iPhone fold looks like it'll land a good screen ratio, so no worries there
79Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 09:46:37.28ID:npRjwwyc0
Japanese people who wouldn't even glance at Samsung's foldables are about to swarm this one
117Anonymous2026/08/27(木) 10:15:04.09ID:R3eNF7wm0
>>79
Same here, don't need Android
Has to be iOS or there's no point
