The story
A ‘Most Beautiful Female Comedians’ ranking published on Yahoo News became a hot topic on 5ch’s Geisoku Sokuho+ board. The poll, which drew over 1,000 votes, placed Sakura (Saki Inagaki) at #3 and Miyuki Torii at #2 — but the thread quickly filled with comments like “this lineup is outdated” and “Saki Inagaki is giving off a vibe from 15 years ago,” along with questions about the voters’ age bracket and how the results were tallied. On the other hand, some praised Miyuki Torii as “not just beautiful for a comedian — she’s simply beautiful, full stop,” while others brought up names left off the list entirely. Opinions split sharply over just who counts as “beautiful.”

What people said
Fukuda hasn't been on TV in years, has she?
Figured it'd be Saki Inagaki, and yep, she's #3
Are the voters all in their 50s or older?
I only know her from Roke Mitsu
Heisei era called, huh… seriously, how old is this
If anyone, it should be Iwata Maari these days
She's miles more popular right now
She's cute
after makeup
#1 has to be Miku Kawamura, no question
Agreed
And if Saya counts,
then it's gotta be that girl from Boru Juku
No wonder the ranking is full of middle-aged women, to the point Sumiko Nishioka shows up on it
Nah, that clumsy stunt stuff is just shock value
Things like that are exactly what stirs up needless trouble abroad
If we're talking peak years, it's obviously Katsumi Sayuri
Not even close
She's not just "beautiful for a comedian" — she's simply beautiful, period
I only know her from her dice-rolling days

Though her face looks a bit different now
Background and Key Points of the Discussion
The source is a general public poll on popularity and likability among female comedians, picked up by Yahoo News and then reposted to 5ch. Large-scale surveys like this tend to skew toward whichever period a comedian was breaking out or getting the most exposure, which is likely why the thread saw comments like “Saki Inagaki feels like a 15-year-old image” and “are the voters all in their 50s?” — pointing to a gap between the survey’s respondent pool and comedians’ current TV presence. Where opinions in the thread really diverged was over how to weigh that “dated” feel, with some backing today’s active comedians and others sticking up for past favorites. Note that who actually ranked #1 can’t be confirmed from the excerpted portion alone, and that the support for Miku Kawamura or Miyuki Torii reflects only the personal opinions of thread posters — not the official results of the original article.
