Angerme's cycle had just settled down when this "looking-hot" bubble (盛れ, an image/filter-boost hype bubble) burst, and more DD-type fans (fans who support anyone rather than being loyal to one member) left than expected
Ise herself is popular enough, but if we're talking yin and yang, she leans more toward the "yin" side, which might play into it a bit too
And yeah, the mid-tier members are still lackluster

It's a member-quality issue.
Compared to "Sasaki + Kamiko," "Ise + Hashisako + Dango" is clearly small-fry and lower caliber by any measure — there's no way they can pull in an audience.
Blaming that all on the leader alone is just cruel.
