The story
It’s been revealed that Juice=Juice’s Ebata Hisaki will appear as a member of the “Strongest Idol Corps” on TV Asahi’s Sandwichman’s World Shock-Video Corp!, airing September 9. The thread lit up over why she was picked for center and over costume photos showing her alongside members of the Sakamichi-series groups (Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46, Hinatazaka46). Reactions were mostly positive about Ebata’s and Juice=Juice’s growing TV presence, though some pointed out that the gap in media exposure between group members is widening.

Because she's the cutest, that's why.
I thought she and Eba were close?

does that make Eba the strongest idol?
TV: 'Juice=Juice, if you please lol'
Haters: 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA'
LMAO 🤣
They probably had a ton of offers — she just had to pass on some because they clashed with the Hello! Project concert schedule.
Inoue Reon's Bura-Bare costume is a brighter red than that one.
That's oddly moving. ('our company' = fan slang for one's own oshi group, borrowed from corporate speak)
These days the image is more like they're pushing Ono Manami hard.
but it's still kind of moving that she's getting invited onto stuff like this now.
Well, goodbye then.
I thought Hello! Project was different.
Irie's the only one who hasn't been picked for any senbatsu, not even Oha Suta, but she doesn't seem to mind much.
Background and Key Points
Juice=Juice has increasingly been landing variety-show appearances in recent years, with Ebata Hisaki at the center of that trend, and this appearance on Sandwichman’s World Shock-Video Corp! is an extension of it. Beyond the official announcement, the thread doesn’t have further details on exactly how the show plans to use Ebata as part of the “Strongest Idol Corps.” Opinions in the thread were split between those welcoming Ebata’s rising individual profile and those concerned about the widening gap in media exposure among group members — posts #108 and #123 pointed out that some members haven’t even been picked for lineups like Oha Suta. It’s also worth noting that the costume-photo comparisons come from shots featuring other groups, not something that reflects Ebata’s own creative input.
