Huawei's got a foldable that doesn't shrink the screen for videos and manga — it stays full-size. They're releasing it as a 16:9 phone, and honestly this 16:9 approach beats Apple's.

Fold it vertically and Tetris or other falling-block games would be great. Fold it horizontally and it's perfect for reading, like a Kindle.

Tablets are honestly a pretty niche, in-between product now, squeezed between laptops and phones with bigger screens. They might just fade away eventually.

Back then it wasn't two screens, just one screen plus buttons, so it wasn't that pricey. Two screens basically means double the phone. You'd need Nintendo DS-level mass production to bring costs down.
