Hololive’s ‘ViVi’ Rating Survey Sparks Buzz — 5ch: ‘She’s the Strongest VTuber, Inside and Out!’

Background and Key Points

Hololive is Cover Corp’s flagship VTuber agency, and “stream time” rankings like the one cited for ViVi are informal tallies fan sites and viewers compile from monthly broadcast hours, not an official metric Cover publishes. Juufuutei Raden was a member of ReGLOSS, one of Hololive’s newer in-house units, and the “now ViVi” aside signals a name or branding change that the thread treats as already common knowledge — it never explains what prompted it, so newcomers are left to infer it from context alone. The other Japan-specific reference worth flagging is Gaasyy, a YouTuber notorious around 2022 for a string of videos “exposing” scandals involving idols and talents; that ViVi’s name never surfaced in that saga is being cited as evidence of a clean reputation, which only lands if you know how disruptive those exposés were at the time.

The actual disagreement in the thread is narrow: one poster’s long, effusive case for ViVi (charm, looks, spotless history, listenability, stream-time numbers) gets a single enthusiastic co-sign, but is otherwise met with indifference — including one reply that simply declares loyalty to a different Hololive talent, Takane Lui, instead of engaging with the pitch. There’s no real pushback or counter-argument, just non-response.

What’s easy to misread from the headline is that this was any kind of organized “survey” — it wasn’t. It’s one fan’s unprompted, bullet-pointed praise post in a general late-night chat thread otherwise filled with food photos, art dumps, a game-shutdown announcement, and a convenience-store snack sale, and the “buzz” amounts to a couple of replies rather than a broad debate.
