JOYSOUND Adds All 47 Juice=Juice Music Videos Ever Made — 5ch: “Time to Rediscover the Original Five”

The story

It became a hot topic on 5ch’s Hello! Project board that JOYSOUND’s “Official Music Video All-You-Can-Watch” service had added all 47 music videos from Juice=Juice’s history. With footage now available spanning everything from the original debut lineup to the current members, longtime fans welcomed the move, saying “the time has come to rediscover the original five,” while others worried that newer fans who only know the current lineup might end up confused, thinking “wait, who’s this?” The thread’s main points centered on nostalgia from veteran fans, alongside questions about how the karaoke playback actually works (whether vocals are included or it’s instrumental-only, and whether lyrics are displayed).

Turns out the official name has 'Memorial Edit' tacked onto it

The time has come to rediscover the original five

Re: #4
I can already see it: someone's going to go "wait, who's this?" and hit stop immediately
7AnonymousOct 6, 2026 18:37
A new fan who got into the group through "Moremi" (fan nickname for a Juice=Juice song): "Who's this? Looks like a bunch of kids playing pretend Juice=Juice, lol"
9AnonymousOct 6, 2026 18:39
New fans:
They're really not that good, huh

Re: #9
You know perfectly well it's the new members whose skills are still soft
10AnonymousOct 6, 2026 18:42
New fans only like the current Juice=Juice lineup, so if you play the MV for "Ijidaki" (fan nickname for a Juice=Juice song), a bunch of unfamiliar faces show up and they'll be confused, like "Huh? Where's Danbara-san? Where's Nia-chan?"

Re: #10
Even back when I'd only been watching Hello! Project for about a month, that never happened to me
13AnonymousOct 6, 2026 18:45
The former Juice=Juice members will probably be happy about this too
14AnonymousOct 6, 2026 18:48
There's a chance the videos from before "Burā" (fan nickname for a Juice=Juice-era song) just won't get much play anyway
15AnonymousOct 6, 2026 18:48
Nah, we don't need the vocals
Make it instrumental

Re: #15
Even with vocals, I want it done karaoke-style like a live video
Right now it's only "Moremi" and "Burabare," but I want more of them added
16AnonymousOct 6, 2026 18:48
So Ishida's gonna get asked "who's that, an original member?"

Re: #5
Kind of like the feeling when, during the first Shimura Ken boom, a Drifters movie aired on Saturday afternoon TV and Shimura Ken wasn't even in it — just Arai Chu (an earlier member of the comedy group The Drifters, before Shimura Ken joined)

Re: #17
I get what you mean, but that's way too old-man of a reference lol
18AnonymousOct 6, 2026 18:53
An introverted type like Karin-chan just isn't going to resonate with today's fanbase
19AnonymousOct 6, 2026 18:57
Are you seriously saying Karin-chan is the Arai Chu of the group?
20AnonymousOct 6, 2026 18:58
This is wild lol
23AnonymousOct 6, 2026 19:02
Ayanokoji Sho: "Juice=Juice is on another level — the singing, the dancing, all of it. Razor-sharp and perfectly in sync, I was hooked in an instant."
Hoshibe Sho: "Juice is nothing but divas! And their singing's gotten even better — they're singing from the gut, their throats are wide open, the core of their voice is thick. With Hayashi Nia joining now too… this group's going to be terrifyingly good. No doubt about it!"
Sugai Hidenori: "(Juice=Juice is) My Pride."
Mori Kasumi: "My favorite is Danbara Ruru. I've even been to a Juice live."
Harami-chan: "Juice=Juice is seriously, seriously a monster group lololol. Incredible."
Hirose Kohmi: "Juice=Juice are true artists."

How does this series actually work for karaoke?
Is it like a vocal-guide thing where the original singer's voice automatically cuts out once you start singing, or do you just keep singing along with them the whole time?
27AnonymousOct 6, 2026 19:04
Re: #25
Probably the latter
Not that different from just singing along while watching the MV in your room
28AnonymousOct 6, 2026 19:06
Re: #27
The thing is, there's no lyrics displayed
If they'd just add that, you could sing along while the actual "Sava Sava" (playful fan chant) footage plays
29AnonymousOct 6, 2026 19:07
Re: #27
For those of us who already own the physical discs, none of this is anything special
Even if I wanted to show it off to a friend, having them silently listen to a song over karaoke feels kind of off
But it's great for playing in the background while you're eating or chatting
26AnonymousOct 6, 2026 19:03
Wait, this isn't a limited-time thing — it's going to be available forever from now on, right?
Yes!
30AnonymousOct 6, 2026 19:09
Re: #28
Seriously?? lol
That's honestly no different from being at home lol
But hey, even just having the chance to throw it on in the background is better than not having it at all
32AnonymousOct 6, 2026 19:12
Wouldn't it be better if every song with an MV just used the real member footage?
I feel like that'd make people happier
60AnonymousOct 6, 2026 19:59
Just put the lyrics in already

Background and Key Points of This Topic

JOYSOUND’s “Official Music Video All-You-Can-Watch” is a paid service that lets users watch past music videos directly on the karaoke machine, and this time 47 Juice=Juice songs were added to it. Juice=Juice is a group that has gone through numerous lineup changes since its 2013 debut, and the look and dance style of the original members differ quite a bit from the current lineup. What split opinion in the thread was the gap between longtime fans feeling nostalgic and newer fans thrown off by seeing unfamiliar faces — neither side meant any real malice, and the whole thing was treated as a lighthearted generational gap. One point that’s easy to misunderstand: this service likely just plays the MVs as-is, without lyric display or an instrumental-only option, and several posters in the thread pointed out that “the vocals stay in” and “no lyrics show up.” For readers unfamiliar with how the service works, it’s worth noting that playing this at a karaoke venue ends up feeling closer to just watching regular background music than an actual sing-along.
