The story

The comedy unit “Kaiki! Yes Donguri RPG,” made up of solo comedians Yes!Akito, Donguri Takeshi, and Satsumakawa RPG, announced their disbandment on their YouTube channel on October 8. They’re set to hold a farewell live show in December at Tokyo’s Shinjuku Bunka Center, calling the venue size “the biggest scale yet” and hyping it up with lines like “Come even if you only liked us once” and “We’re going to leave nothing in the tank.” On 5ch threads, many praised each member’s skill as a solo comedian, but opinions were split over why the trio never built much name recognition as a group, and over claims that their signature bit “Player Change” resembles material from other comedians.

You're better off watching an Osaka night-view channel on YouTube than watching Peace-kun from Omiya Park.

Figured they'd be a scrub lineup, but turns out all three are genuinely funny gag comedians.

Satsumakawa, the only funny comedian to come out of Kagoshima.

Re: #11
There's also Kagoshima Tarou!
12AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:12
I keep mixing them up with Fu-Suya (another comedy trio).
14AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:16
On YouTube all I ever get is Satsumakawa's Shorts
Never see the other two.
15AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:16
Is that wig-yanking bit actually funny?
17AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:17
No way
That legendary bit—
"Hey, your girlfriend's thing down there looked just like that"—
to think we'll never get to see it again.
18AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:17
This was more like a unit of three solo comedians than an actual trio, so they didn't even need to call it a "breakup"
Though I guess they just want to pack the house for the farewell show.
20AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:19
Akito and Satsumakawa both made the R-1 finals
but Donguri Takeshi never did.
21AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:20
Mussels! Mussels! (one of their bits)
Kinda liked that one, but haven't seen them on TV at all lately.
22AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:20
Guess we're in an era where comedy nerds demand payoff for every setup
And I actually liked them quite a bit.
23AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:21
These guys can all hold their own individually
Unlike Tontsukatan.
25AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:23
Donguri Takeshiii!

Re: #25
Sakeru-cheeeese!!!!! (a pun on the casual greeting "'sup" and pull-apart string cheese)
29AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:28
After Kazoku Chahan, Tontsukatan, Chinkuru Hoi, Mirai, Warafudi Naruo, Pocket Korokke, and Shitentoru, now Ye-Don's breaking up too?
Skilled comedy units are dropping like flies, it's not even funny anymore.
At this rate the comedy world's next generation of real talent is going to dry up entirely.

Re: #29
It's "Warafudi Naruo"
What's this "Warufuji Naruo" supposed to be.
30AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:30
What's a "Gyagaa"?
I know Jaguar-san from Motoyawata, though.
31AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:30
They were on M-1?
What kind of manzai do these guys even do?
33AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:31
Isn't Satsumakawa married to Paipai Dekami?
43AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:45
Re: #33
It's "Dekami-chan."
35AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:33
None of the three are even unfunny, but they just never broke through.
36AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:34
Kazoku Chahan's genuinely funny and looked like they had a shot at the competitions, such a waste.
41AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:44
Re: #36
The yakuza-looking one who plays it straight actually matches his look
Apparently it's the one writing the material who got sick of it.
38AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:39
Satsumakawa got to marry a pretty woman so he's set, but what about the other two?
45AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:46
Re: #38
Actually Donguri Takeshi got married first…
To Aribobo from Yabai T-shirt Yasan (another comedy duo).
48AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:50
Thought Yes!Akito would blow up more
but it just never happened
Maybe it's that he comes across unlikeable in talk segments.
56AnonymousOct 9, 2026 17:02
Re: #48
Akito doesn't even flop trying too hard — that's the worst type of solo comedian to be in talk segments.
52AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:56
I like Akito's one-liner gag
I know all three by name and face, but I have no clue what they do as a trio.
55AnonymousOct 9, 2026 16:59
Re: #52
They just each do their own gag back to back, that's it.
66AnonymousOct 9, 2026 17:18
They're with K-Dash Stage, so that's Audrey's agency, right?
69AnonymousOct 9, 2026 17:24
Re: #66
Though Akito's actually with Sun Music.
70AnonymousOct 9, 2026 17:27
Wagaya's "Switch With Me" bit and these guys' "Player Change"
Which one came first? Smells like a rip-off.
83AnonymousOct 9, 2026 17:55
Re: #70
Maybe Warai Meshi's the common ancestor for both.

Background and Key Points of This Topic

Kaiki! Yes Donguri RPG was formed by three already-established solo comedians — Yes!Akito, Donguri Takeshi, and Satsumakawa RPG — which makes its formation different from how a typical “trio” usually comes together. That’s reflected in thread comments like “I know all three by name and face, but I have no clue what they do as a trio,” suggesting each member’s individual name recognition outpaced the group’s own. There’s also a gap in competition results among the members: Akito and Satsumakawa have both reached the finals of the R-1 Grand Prix, while Donguri Takeshi reportedly has not, and that difference in visibility is cited as one factor behind the breakup. As for their signature bit “Player Change,” some pointed out a resemblance to material from another unit active around the same time, though the thread never settled on which came first — worth noting this remains speculation rather than established fact.
