Car Veers Into Oncoming Lane on No-Passing Curve, Slams Into Motorcycle

A dashcam video posted to 5ch shows a car crossing the no-passing line on a curve, drifting into the oncoming lane, and colliding head-on with a motorcycle coming the other way. The thread erupted into arguments over fault ratios (“10-10,” “5-5”), and posters were also split on whether the footage was recent or nearly 20 years old.

Who even thinks about drifting out that far?
4Anonymous2026/08/25(火) 13:10:33.08
That's a clean 10-10 (fault ratio meaning the car is 100% at fault).
5Anonymous2026/08/25(火) 13:11:27.21
Was he racing the bike ahead of him or something?
6Anonymous2026/08/25(火) 13:12:01.58
What's this '10-10' thing?

Both sides share the blame

The guardrail was already wrecked before this crash even happened — that's a cursed corner.

This bike shouldn't have been cutting the yellow no-passing line either
Though that's hindsight talking

I think the guy who ran up to help is the dashcam driver — didn't he yield to the bike?
Either way, the timing, the spot, and the luck for passing were all bad

Plenty of kei-car drivers do this — crank the wheel hard and swing wide into the other lane on a turn, even in a car that tiny

Nah, people usually call that 5-5 lol
20Anonymous2026/08/25(火) 13:16:06.47
Crossing the lane line to pass is a traffic violation
22Anonymous2026/08/25(火) 13:16:38.56
If he crossed the center line, isn't that 100-0?
The yellow-line cut right before is a separate issue
24Anonymous2026/08/25(火) 13:17:16.98
He crossed the no-passing orange line to overtake and hit a car that was also over the line
Both of them broke the rules
25Anonymous2026/08/25(火) 13:18:06.63
>>24
I know that already
But the car is the one unilaterally at fault in this accident

Whoever owns this dashcam is unbelievably lucky
The bike that had just passed him on the curve swerved right in front of him trying to dodge the oncoming motorcycle, which made him slam the brakes without meaning to — and that's exactly what let him dodge the car that shot across the center line, by a hair
If that bike behind him hadn't passed when it did, he'd have been in the crash 100%

It clearly hits him though

Knew it'd be this video
Has to be like 20 years old
Way too many people cashing in on old footage these days

Dashcams weren't even common 20 years ago, and that car pulling the understeer sure doesn't look like a 20-year-old car either lol
