The all-female rock band SCANDAL has announced that it will end its activities on August 21, 2027. The members, who were 15 to 18 years old when the band formed, are now 35 to 38. In 2023, they were certified by Guinness World Records for “Longest-running rock band (female) with an unchanged lineup.”
On the thread, some said they’d never once seen the band on terrestrial TV, while others recalled their Fullmetal Alchemist tie-in song, and many simply expressed shock that the band had lasted 20 years without breaking up.

It's impressive for a female band to last 20 years.
Fans tend to drift toward younger acts too — normally after about 5 years,
the vocalist either goes solo, or the band quietly disappears after a member's "shotgun marriage" retirement.
